I mean my bbt hasn't dipped below coverline yet at 8dpo.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 10/06/2013 08:48

jbrd I'm 8dpo today. I don't know if I'll POAS though. But at least my bbt has dipped yet this cycle. Last one, my bbt dropped below the coverline at 7dpo and that got me really worried about my luteal phase. I just pray I can make it till 10dpo this time.

alice huge congrats. All the best you'll have a sticky bean this time.

rockchick the LH surge is usually 12-48 hours before ovulation. Your egg lives about 12-24 hours. So your fertility window is only up to one day after the surge disappears. But you need to keep doing it as often as humanly possible until that OPK positive disappears. It's your peak fertility window now. (Sperms live 3-5 days, so you are more fertile before, and not after ovulation). HTH.

BirdsDoIt · 10/06/2013 08:48

Congratulations alicebear! Fab news. (And I think your MIL should stop being so nosy, honestly, give it some time at least! )

Hope everyone had nice weekends.

saggy your GP needs a good talking to.

Can I ask for some advice? My temp chart is seriously all over the shop and I'm beginning to get a bit worried about it. One random high temp I think was because of drinking quite a bit the night before, and the rest maybe a combination of being a bit ill (cold/sore throat, nothing major) and erratic temp taking because I keep waking up at different times. But am beginning to worry I'm not ovulating at all - also my cm seems to go from watery to creamy and back again and I don't know how much of this is due to DTD and how much is actual cm! Sorry for tmi. I'm carrying on temping - think I'll try not to drink at all (or almost not at all) and keep trying to be more consistent with temp taking - but anxious that ovulation is nowhere in sight. I'm 31 so presumably it's not menopausal...has anyone else had similar worries? Or really long waits for ovulation after mmc? This is cycle 1 for me, and I'm on cd20.

Rock - what miss said. Good luck, fingers crossed. It's exhausting.

So, it looks as if I will be poas next Friday! Anyone joining me?
6DPO here, but appear to have ovulated really late this cycle, on CD18, which is very unusual for me. Hoping that it's just a one-off, and not a sign of something else...

Misspositivity · 09/06/2013 22:51

rock. Next 3 days in a rowthen hAve a day off and then once more just in case you ovulate late. Have fun. I am just recovering.

Rockchick1984 · 09/06/2013 22:48

Congratulations Alice!!!

Just got a positive on my cheapie OPK, how long do I need to keep DTD for now until it gets to just being for fun? Only ever used them once (the month I fell pregnant) and didn't really pay much attention, I only used them that time to make sure I was ovulating! It's much earlier than I expected, CD13 today whereas last time I didn't get a positive until CD17 (of a 27 day cycle).

Misspositivity · 09/06/2013 22:04

vix. Just wanted to thank you for your honest post. It really touched me. I generally tend to be a bit of a cold fish rather than talk about my feelings. Alot of the things you said I too experienced. It was a private moment when I passed my baby in sac. You could make out the features. My DP was at work and he didn't want to look. I understand why but I suppose now I have no one to share that with. He did take it to the hospital and handed it over to a lady ( when he came back he said he hoped she worked there, I was like dear god are you mad???). It's a northern Irish thing to have humor at the most inappropriate times it's away of protecting yourself prehaps.

I won't forget my little blob but it is time to move on. I often think my body is doing its job ending pregnancies that would not be good so at least something is working.

Misspositivity · 09/06/2013 21:52

alicebear congrats. Great news
saggy. Hope your ok. That's crap about letter from gp. I would fish slap the gp for that.
missmaje welcome - can take a while for your cycle to settle after mc. Some people click straight away and others takes months. Sorry you find yourself her but you will get lots of support.

I have forgotton. Who is testing 21 (or before for a fish slap). My symptom watching has begun. 5ulcers which in fairness might mean I have caught hand foot mouth from my DD ( she is so good to me!!!!). I ly on 3-4 dpo. Twinges and heavy feeling in pelvis that might mean early AF

Tomkat79 · 09/06/2013 21:43

Yey alicebear....think positive x

RainbowConnections · 09/06/2013 21:10

Lieslvontrapp · 09/06/2013 19:22

Welcome missmakes!

Congrats alicebear! Thats really fab news!

alicebear · 09/06/2013 19:16

Well I caved & poas. BFP Smile the IC line was pretty faint so tried a digi too. Told DH the 1-2 was an indication as to how many embryos - brief look of horror before he realised.
Not really sure how I'm feeling. Obv over the moon to have a BFP again so fast - 4 months to the day after my last one. But scared about whether we're just gearing up for more heartbreak. Just have to take it a day at a time & might try & have an early scan. (if we get that far).

Hope you don't mind if I linger here for a while as it sinks in & hopefully see lots more BFPs.
Sorry for breaking the Friday poas rule but couldn't wait!

alicebear · 09/06/2013 14:20

Welcome missmakes sorry you're here - hope things work out for you very soon.
Really sorry your cycles are misbehaving saggy that's rubbish.
mummy hope you're resting up & not feeling too bad although I remember feeling so much more down after my erpc as there wasn't all the hospital goings on to distract from what had happened. Thinking of you.
Pretty fuming with my MIL who asked DH this weekend if I am pregnant! She knows all about the MMC which was exactly just 2 months ago. Apparently she wants to know so they can plan holidays but they never plan more than a few mth ahead. I just think it's really insensitive & surely it's up to us to tell her if it happens when we are ready to.
Am I being oversensitive here?

Hope all having gd weekends. I may have to break rules & poas later on or tomorrow morning as still no sign of AF. Preparing myself for fish slapping!

Tomkat79 · 09/06/2013 12:49

Morning peeps

Hope you're resting up mummy

So sorry saggy that not better news for you this month. Really is such an emotional rollercoaster!

My AF arrived with a vengeance yesterday. Exactly 1 month since ERPC. I was expecting it to be heavy but this is ridiculous. MIL has new light blue sofas and I had to sit on a bag! How embarassing.

GuffSmuggler · 09/06/2013 09:36

oh saggy I'm sorry that's so shit on all counts Angry Lurk away we don't mind you joining when you need to, it can send you a bit crazy this whole business. Hope work isn't too hard today and helps take your mind off things.

vix there's a link near the top of the page for mumsnet acronyms, it really helped me when I joined as there are so many!

Welcome missmake hopefully you'll get a BFP this month and will be gone soon (in the nicest way Smile)

I've got a third day of flashing smiling (high fertility) on my sticks today, I really really hope I ovulate tomorrow and get peak fertility as that means at least another 3 days of consecutive DTD and I will think we're going to struggle. Arrrggghhhh!!

Is anyone else only DTD during shagweek? We just haven't got the energy the rest of the time and are thankful for some time off but then it's 'right go go go!!' and go from nothing to everyday! It's just all so weird and I really hate it Sad

missmakesstuff · 09/06/2013 09:21

Hi all, I have been reading for a while and feel just about ready to join you all - I am currently waiting on my first AF after a MC at 6 weeks ish last month. We are trying for number two, we already have a 3yr old DD. Th MC was fairly 'easy' physically, all natural and very quick, but knocked me for 6 a bit at the time emotionally. We had got pregnant very quickly after trying for only 3 months, some of this halfheartedly as my gran had passed away suddenly in March and work had been manic, so I was surprised and delighted at the time. Not meant to be though, so this month we were going to wait for AF but to be honest we just thought 'Fuck it' - literally - and kept trying!

I am due Wednesday, I think - I used OPKs and got a positive test, in the past I have ovulated exactly 14 days into my cycle and then had a period day 28. However, I have not idea now what to expect - I have a feeling it will all go straight back to normal as I stopped bleeding and 14 days later exactly I ovulated.

I have no symptoms this time apart from being very tearful, ridiculously so, little bit of boob ache. Nothing else. When I got pregnant I was nauseous and tired from 3-4 DPO. it was mental, I just knew I was pregnant, before I took the test - which is a bummer really as now I just know that I am not now going to catch this month. I even looked pregnant at 6weeks as people at work had guessed at 5 weeks as I 'looked peaky, tubby and tearful' (quote from a MALE boss - usually as intuitive as a housebrick - how on earth he knew I don't know)

I am very moody and very emotional at the moment, need something to take my mind off TTC until Wednesday - so hence I am joining you lovely ladies!

RainbowConnections · 09/06/2013 07:01

Saggy thats really rubbish. And really poor of the GP surgery.

vix2812 · 09/06/2013 01:15

lol thankyou sal, feel like a right newbie. Alri i did get the whole DTD part, seems the dirtier the abbreiviations the quicker I get them!!!

saggy so sorry to hear, your cycle's not going anywhere though so try again next month. In the meantime, let your tense-ness go with your AF and try to relax some more. Your body won't respond well to the pressure your putting on yourself.
Countless women have told me when they've caught preggers, it's been because they've been caught unaware.

Also, I think from watching, 'The Great Sperm Race' on Channel 4 a few years ago, that our bodies naturally fight off sperm before it manages to get anywhere near our eggs. So baring that in mind, when me and my fiancee tried for our now 3yo daughter, i told him to forget TTC (1yr+6mnths TTC) and forget the whole thing. I made him wear a condom for a couple of times, and then nothing. Then i made him wear the condom again, so to trick my body into thinking it was safe...and then it gets hit and isnt prepared to fight off much of his sperm lol. Sounds gross i know but hopefully this tactic may help some of you, there's a reason why 1 night stands stick to pregnancys than TTC for months on end.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 09/06/2013 00:04

I think Im just going to lurk here for a bit. Joining in just stirs me up. I need to get some perspective before I lose the plot!
Big {{{squeeze}}} to Mummy.
