oh boo JBrd boo.

nearly I hope you get some useful info out of your gp

JBrd · 12/06/2013 11:31

Well, no poas on Friday for me. After some light spotting yesterday, af has well and truly arrived today Hmm

Someone please remind me why I'm doing all this... Again and again and again Confused

nearlyreadytopop · 12/06/2013 09:00

my last pregnancy I had hyperemesis so as long as that stays away and my back is fine I plan to continue with the c25k. I have really enjoyed it so far, mentally and physically its been good for me.
I'm making a gp appointment today and going armed with a list. I want to know about progesterone and baby aspirin use to prevent mc. I have "only" had two so last time we talked he said he wouldn't perscribe any treatment. I hope to see someone else this time amd will be better informed.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/06/2013 08:50

vix all the best.

nearly that's amazing. I didn't know you have pcos. It's really a miracle. Hope you get a happy ending this time round.

missmakesstuff I think the important thing is to listen to your body. I can't see why you coudln't continue with the c25k. Many people say not to cycle when pregnant but I continued cycling to work when I was pregnant with DD. I definitely noticed my balance is a lot worse and that I couldn't get up the hills. But my ride is on a cycle path, and I just get off and push the bike on parts that I couldn't do anymore. As long as it's in moderation isn't it?

alyant79 · 12/06/2013 08:46

missmakes you could definitely continue the c25k. Staying fit during pregnancy is really good for you and bub

alicebear · 11/06/2013 23:19

I have just realised what c25k is! I was thinking some of you ladies were training for a 25k run!! Blush

missmakesstuff · 11/06/2013 23:03

Vox? Sorry, stupid phone. Vix.

missmakesstuff · 11/06/2013 23:02

Good luck vox, hope things work out for you soon.
nearly I am on week 2, didn't get out as dh was home late, planning on running tom, Fri (before wine o clock) and sun morn. I did it before but have a bad back, which is stronger now but it went when I was about halfway through.
Will you continue with it to the end, I wonder if it would be something you could continue, its so gentle really. Although they say don't take up new exercise, I think if I were to find at didn't arrive this month I would want to keep the c25k up anyway. She will arrive though, of course.
Anyone else find its easier to be pessimistic sometimes? No disappointment then.

Misspositivity · 11/06/2013 22:36

nearly. Excellent news.

alyant79 · 11/06/2013 21:41

penguin I did a lot of research and as far as i can tell there is no medical reason to wait for first AF. If you had a medically induced miscarriage it's a good idea to wait for two weeks for that hormone to clear out of your system (but even that is being overly cautious), otherwise just go for it. If you want to.
Hopefully AF will come after 4 weeks but it might not and then you could be waiting for who-knows-how-long and getting v frustrated.

Bugger hooble. Still, you never know...

best of luck vix

nearlyreadytopop · 11/06/2013 20:39

thank you all. I have to say it was luck more than anything. I have around 3 periods per year due to pcos so its even more shocking.

missmakes im on week 3 of c25k and its very addictiveSmile

vix2812 · 11/06/2013 20:32

Hey everyone, after just a short while here I've decided TTC isn't right for me ATM. Unfortunetely for me, I don't think having another baby is a suitable situation right now. I would love to and I know I would be a good mum but the rest I'm uncertain of and being a good mum would be to wait and sort everything out.

Good Luck to all of you ladies, I hope you get what you really deserve and the results you want.
xxx

HoobleDooble · 11/06/2013 20:30

But really happy for you Nearly! Well done you!

Tomkat79 · 11/06/2013 20:30

penguin I've googled loads about that too as we got straight to it as soon as stopped bleeding from ERPC. Had no idea when was ovulating and finally got AF 4 weeks later. On reflection am glad we waited as I've never bled so much in my life! This shocked me as assumed having surgical management would've taken most if not all of the lining etc away. However that's not to say it wouldn't have taken if I'd got a BFP and could've been fine I guess.

I'm just throwing it all up in the air. When my body is ready to conceive again I guess it will.

Big congratulations nearly great news x

HoobleDooble · 11/06/2013 20:29

Was going to be POAS on Friday but seems like AF is on her way, don't know what the little bleed I took as possible implantation was all about last week now. Gutted! Sad

missmakesstuff · 11/06/2013 19:46

Some lovely news on this thread, it is making me feel more positive. I don't know if I would have a scan or not next time, I think I would probably just want to bury my head in the sand and try to not think about it until booking in and then maybe 12 week scan - but then I had mine at 6weeks and it was a complete shock, I was lucky in a way it wasn't later, I hope I would just be able to keep busy and get on with things - I think somehow I would obsess and worry though - a little like I am now, waiting for AF!
I had one internet cheapy test in the cupboard, used it yesterday, just to tempt fate you understand!? Also wanted to use it up so I wasn't tempted to test as soon as my period was late by an hour or something, I just knew I would try.

Of course BFN, just waiting for AF now, I am really moody and tetchy, plus spotty and headachy - so can't be far away. On the plus side I got out of work early today to take DD swimming, which was lovely, even if she did do a massive wee all over the kitchen floor as she was so tired afterwards! Hoping to go for a run tonight, if DH every gets home before dark. Just going to focus on a short term goal of losing some weight and doing C25K for the next month, before getting on with TTC again.

Got a pile of marking to do too, all of which should keep me busy enough not to think about TTC!

stephrick · 11/06/2013 19:13

can I conceive at 45, i had a hormone test and not menopausal.

Penguinita · 11/06/2013 19:03

So I went for another blood test today, hoping it was going to finally be my post MC BFN, and my beta HCG was 29 - 9 points short of a BFN, argghhh! I've got to wait another week before my next test as my poor veins can't take many more needles, I'm starting to look like a drug addict Smile. I'm so bored of waiting though! Just want to start TTC again now!!!

I know this has probably been asked before, but are there any medical reasons (apart from ease of dating) for waiting until after first AF before trying to get pg again? The sonographer advised me to wait, but there seem to be plenty of people on here going for it!

Big congrats nearly, fab news!

Lieslvontrapp · 11/06/2013 18:49

Over I agree that early scans are quite a personal decision based on past experience. I had a private one last time at 9 weeks which showed things had gone wrong at 6 weeks soI was glad I didn't get to 12 wks to find that out. Due to this experience I'm doing the same this time. I know even though things are fine at 9 weeks they can still go wrong but it will definitely help to reassure me to get past that milestone. Plus I've found somewhere that goes them for £50 versus the £99 I paid last time.

Nearly congrats on the bfp! Fab news!

alicebear · 11/06/2013 18:30

Ooh & nearly big congratulations to you. Fab news.
over glad levels looking gd but also think a scan might help reassure?

alicebear · 11/06/2013 18:28

aly I always get about 4 days ewcm before a positive opk. Also the 3 times of a BFP we've only managed to dtd at least a day if not more before +ve opk so I think that's as good a time as any to dtd. Fingers crossed.
Thanks everyone for all the congrats. Feel very happy but nervous too.
As my mc was a MMC I like some of you feel a scan might reassure me. My pregnancy stopped developing at 7wks but my body was merrily ticking along oblivious at 12.
I'm going to have one at about 8.5wks - if get that far. Obv it's not a guarantee but hopefully it'll reassure & if the worst happens again I'd find out sooner.
saggy your foal is just gorgeous - so cute!

Sal1977 · 11/06/2013 17:52

Good to hear some positive news!!

Aly sorry you're feeling shit, I'll join u on the shitwagon today. Wedding on Friday and feel like poo, wishing I hadn't MC and now worrying about being bitter and barren for the rest of my days.

I was horrid to the very helpful sales assistant in Accessorize as well.

hmm nearly that raises a pertinent question:
I had ewcm for 2 days about 4-5 days before the stupid CB advance digi sticks finally gave me a peak smiley.
what's going on with my body? why are things so confusing?
I hate this shit.
