saggy sorry you're feeling rubbish on green week. I thought I was getting a cold last week at the start of green wk & was so cross expecting DH would have it at the optimal dtd time but luckily it didn't come to much. Hope you make a swift recovery in gd time.
Guff still hoping for you.
I am with people on cursing my stupid body for wasting time & not realising I'd had mc. Scan suggested things stopped at 7wks but didn't find out until 12wk scan. Stupid stupid body.
alyant sorry AF arrived for you. Rubbish. I have used clearblue opks and like the digital smiley & it avoids any ambiguity. However they are tonnes more pricey than ICs. I've had those from amazon. As they're so cheap you can poas several times a day which can be handy if you're not quite sure when lh surge is due. If your surge is quite short you could miss it if you only poas once a day. Apparently the best time to detect it is in the afternoon. Fingers crossed this will be your month.
In 2ww now for me- at least can relax about dtd & po the opks now.

Oh I am Guff! Grin I was exhausted and felt diabolical last night, but I still managed it! Grin

GuffSmuggler · 28/05/2013 13:53

Isn't it a bit late for an implantation bleed if AF is due anyway?

I'm out at the shops later so perhaps I'll just buy a test and be done with it.

saggy what rubbish timing to get ill, try and soldier on for the cause though Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/05/2013 13:40

Oh poo, Guff, that is crap! Are you taking the hopefull track? inplantation or just writing this one off? I've started taking everything negatively personally, so things can only get better! Confused
Penguin, post MMC my AF took about 7 weeks IIRC, but everyone is different. Fingers crossed for you.

I an in green week on my APP this week, so it should be shag fest. Sadly I'm shattered from working and have some horrible nasty life threatening lurgy! a cold, so although we DTD last night, I have no idea if we will get anymore in in time! Sad

sorry guff cross posts.
RUBBISH for AF (implantation bleed?????)

ps that's exactly the same feeling i have about my stupid body

alyant79 · 28/05/2013 13:24

over it seems strange that they are making you wait almost a week for repeat bloods. I thought 48hrs was normal. It's going to be a long weeks wait for you, you poor thing.

guff did AF arrive today as you suspected?? Very much hope not!

penguin I hope that you're feeling a bit more up today. From my experience it was a long time until I started to have more good days than bad. You're in the horrible phase where hormones are still crashing, but it will pass. My advice re DH is to not hide too much from him. You need someone to give you hugs and cuddles when you need it, and if he doesn't know that you're upset, he won't know to pamper you.

GuffSmuggler · 28/05/2013 13:17

Pretty sure AF is here although its ridiculously light, so goodness knows what's going on with my body.

Am so fed up. I know I haven't been here long compared to a lot of you brave ladies, but we started TTC at the end of last August and I feel like we are no further along. I wasted 3 bloody months thinking I was PG because my body was too stupid to know I'd had a MC.

Sorry for the rant, just need a bit of a pity party before gearing myself up to be all upbeat and positive again for the next shagfest (urgh I don't think I've got the energy!!)

Sorry about the wait overanxious that is just rubbish. The whole waiting/not knowing is the cruelest thing in TTC and MC.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/05/2013 13:10

I hate Beta hCG tests. I had several before my MC and the waiting is horrible. Sad

OP posts:
OveranxiousUnderated · 28/05/2013 12:16

Update - Been to Drs this morning. Had bloods done, but got to go back on Monday for repeat bloods to check if hcg is rising. Won't get results untill a week tomorrow. Seems like such a long time!!

Penguinita · 27/05/2013 23:09

Thanks for the welcome guff, I have my fingers crossed that AF stays away for you.

Totally agree with you Mrs F, it is a horrible feeling. DH is the one person going through the same thing, but the grieving process is complicated and individual, and we are not always in sync with our good days and bad days. So sometimes it just isn't the right time to talk about the important things. I've looked back at some of your posts and seems like you are having a tough time of it. It is so crap that the fun activity of DTD suddenly takes on a whole new serious side that takes the fun away. Sending hugs {}

But first I need a BFN before I can start thinking about that again. I'm wondering if that will take longer with a natural MC than the 2-3 weeks that seems to be average for EPRC?

alyant79 · 27/05/2013 22:01

Hi all, just back from 2 weeks hols. Quick update - was hopeful that the relaxation of holidays would make a lovely home for an embryo to implant in, but AF started on friday, so it seems not. Roll on ttc cycle 3 Sad

hearing about heavy implantation bleeds makes me hopeful as AF was a bit light and 1 day late but WILL NOT even think it unless I get some serious symptoms

Had a very quick scan of the last couple of pages and just want to say that i'm so sorry to hear your news tins. That's absolutely rubbish and not at all fair.

thinking of using some OPK sticks this cycle just to check that I'm ovulating when I think I am. Never used them before. Anyone got a recommendation? Should i just pop into Boots and buy whatever they have?? Think I've read from a few of you that internet cheapies can be unreliable. I only want to use them for this month to get a rough idea

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 27/05/2013 18:51

Sorry guff Sad

overanxious, fingers crossed for you. I had a quite heavy implantation bleed with my last pregnancy (assumed it was AF) and it does seem quite common.

Penguinita, I can completely sympathise with the hiding of upset from DH. My DH is showing reluctance to try again since my MMC (11+4) 4 weeks ago and I feel like I am treading on eggshells around him. Too upset and I feel that he will be all 'can't go through that again' and too little upset and I think he won't realise how much I need to be pregnant again asap. I feel like it's all a bit of a game and I don't know the rules. It's a horrible feeling on top of everything else, isn't it?

Emki · 27/05/2013 18:39

guff rubbish! I'm still keeping everything crossed! This will be me next Monday .... I'm already gutted as know the answer xxxx love to you xxx

GuffSmuggler · 27/05/2013 18:28

Had a tiny bit of spotting today so pretty sure AF is on it's way. GUTTED Sad

Sorry you are having a hard time penguinita this whole business is shit but welcome to the thread, hopefully you will have a BFP soon x

Penguinita · 27/05/2013 16:52

Hi everyone, can I join you on this thread?

I need a bit of posifrickingtivity today, I've been lurking on the MC forum but the stories are just so terribly sad. I was diagnosed with a MMC ten days ago at 10+5 (not a surprise, I knew it from the signs) and started to MC naturally the next day.

In general I've tried to stay upbeat and look on the bright side, but I think today I'm just having a Bad Day. I don't want to cry in front of DH as it will upset him and I'm worried he won't want to try again. So I'm here having a virtual cry with you instead Sad. It's such a relief to know there are others going through the same thing, and who have come out the other side with happy tales of BFPs. Big congrats BakingBunty, you give us all hope!

I'd love to start TTC again but I'll wait for a BFN first. Lucky I have lots of cheap ebay sticks to pee on! Grin

Emki · 27/05/2013 11:17

Oops! guff I have everything crossed for you xxxx

Emki · 27/05/2013 11:17

missp my first AF after erpc lasted 6-7 days and was so heavy and crampy - usually AF lasts 4 days and is light to medium so the first AF was definitly longer and heavier - I then OV about 3 days later than usual - hope this helps x

overanxious hope you ok -I too have a good feeling about this

tins thinking of you

guff f

Misspositivity · 27/05/2013 10:53

Looking for some advice. First AF after mc - I am now on day 7 and no sign of ending. Cramps have got worse. Has anyone else experienced a longer heavier first period after mc. Will this mean my cycle will be longer (ovulate later)
overanxious hope your hanging in there.
tins if your hovering hope you are being good to yourself - come and talk if you need to we have been there and happy to listen. Xxx

OveranxiousUnderated · 27/05/2013 08:03

Thanks Rainbow and Baking.

My GP (well GP's as I never see the same one) are okay. They were quite good about my MC and sending me for a reassurance scan etc so hopefully they will be helpful. Unfortunately no medical professionals in the family to talk to but a good couple of close people to vent to!

x

RainbowConnections · 27/05/2013 07:59

Sorry for misspelling BakingBunty.

RainbowConnections · 27/05/2013 07:57

Bakingbunting congratulations! Great to see some good news. Hope you're keeping well.

Overanxious hope you get some clarity soon.

DDMF hopefully your DH just needs some time. The wind chime in the apple tree sounds lovely.

CamomileHoneyVanilla we moved to Grownupsville a couple of years ago. I still miss the days of not having to be ashamed of weeds in the garden, but being near family is lovely for DS. House-hunting is fun. Crazy symptom spotting is less fun but good to know others are a little crazy too!

I think I'd be testing every day until AF arrives if i had anymore HPTs!

Guff fingers crossed for you.

Hope its a sunny bank holiday for everyone.

BakingBunty · 27/05/2013 07:46

Morning all, hope you're all looking forward to a nice bank holiday Smile

guff I think that being fit and healthy when you get pregnant can only be a good thing. I ran loads before and during my pregnancy with DS, it helped keep me sane and also had the advantage of meaning I could eat more ice cream (I like it so much that I pretended it was a full on craving for 9 months Grin)

over I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Hope you have a good GP? Or do you have any friends who are doctors, nurses, midwives that you could speak to?

OveranxiousUnderated · 27/05/2013 07:39

Thanks for the positivity everyone. Will keep you updated. x

alicebear · 27/05/2013 07:19

over really hope it was implantation bleeding. I once read that it can happen in up to a third of pregnancies.
guff maybe we'll have some gd news from you. I also have little resistance to testing when there are hpts in the house (I have a similar problem with chocolate [smile)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 27/05/2013 00:23

Over you need to do another CB in a week or so. If the numbers go down its not good. I reckon it's just implantation. I have a good feeling about you! Smile
