Wow, some exciting news on here lately, congrats to all with a BFP, and a wedding this week too! All the best for Friday Sal.

But big hugs to everyone who hasn't had the best news this month too, it'll all come right in the end, you'll see.

It's DTD week for me and the DH, though I've told him that I'm taking a month off so he thinks that any sexy times he gets this week are purely for fun and not 'business'....I know it's a bit naughty but it seems to have made a difference if you get what I mean.

I have 2 bits of good news.... #1 - with the new healthy regime over the last week, I've lost 4lbs! Woop. #2 - we've just booked our holiday for July, I'll find out if I'm PG before we go, if not then I'll be OV whilst we're on holiday so that should make it more fun at least. If I'm not dying of sunburn that is.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/06/2013 10:57

Oh one can only hope she will be better now she is a year older. Maybe she will actually sleep on the sofa bed nice and early in the evening!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/06/2013 10:56

Thanks rockchick. I guess I'm not gone totally crazy with all this ttc. alyant sadly holiday sex is difficult with a 2yo. From experience last year, DD doesn't sleep till we sleep on holiday. And then on the first night she screamed in distress in her cot. So she ended up in bed in between us. She is the ultimate anti-romance device Hmm

Rockchick1984 · 13/06/2013 10:34

Hope your day is amazing Sal I'm sure you will look stunning!

OLTT are you the sort of couple who have lots of holiday sex anyway? If so I wouldn't bother taking the CBFM, as you will hit your fertile days anyway. If you aren't a holiday-shagging couple then I'd take it but don't tell DH Grin

alyant79 · 13/06/2013 10:33

sal enjoy tomorrow!! Have a wonderful, wonderful day.

OLTT don't pack it! Holiday sun will no doubt induce lots of dtd anyway Grin

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/06/2013 09:18

I mean packing the CBFM on holiday? Sounds a bit obsessed isn't it? But I don't want to waste a cycle.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/06/2013 09:17

I'm going to Spain next week. I guess the consolation is I can drink while I'm on holidays Sad. If you were me, would you pack the CBFM on h

BirdsDoIt · 13/06/2013 09:05

missmakes that's so pants. Sounds like your DH is on the case though, already applying for other jobs! Fingers crossed something good comes along soon - both job wise and for you both in life in general. It's definitely your turn!

BirdsDoIt · 13/06/2013 09:03

I hope you have a wonderful wedding day sal! Enjoy every second xxx

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/06/2013 09:01

I have really high hopes this month because we BD on both peak fertility days. But my bbt has been dropping so I expect I'll be joining the bus next month. Adding to the rubbish weather, I'm feeling quite low. (I fetched my winter clothes box and pulled a knitted dress out to wear today. It's that cold).

missmakes that's horrid with your DH's job. Hopefully he can find something very soon.

alicebear · 13/06/2013 08:53

Have a fantastic day sal sorry missmakes really crappy news.

Right, I'm on the smep next month as well then in that case, unless of course 'project syringe' hasn't been boiled in the bag by the fecking flu!!

Last night together living in sin, offered a last chance shag, was told to 'do one', which is kind of understandable after 9 in a row! Haha

Wish I had managed to lose a bit more chunk but I have come to the conclusion that 'Happiness weighs about a stone and a half'....Grin

JBrd · 12/06/2013 22:46

missmakes - when it rains, it pours! What a shock about your DH's job, it's so rotten when it happens. Good on him for starting to look for something else immediately, sounds as if he's a trooper! Have a large Wine, and one for yourself, too. Life is tough, more on some days than on others.

misspositivity 40%?!?! I hadn't realised that it's that efficient!

alyant79 · 12/06/2013 22:20

oh no missmakes, for both AF and hubby's job.
at least he has another 3 months pay so he's got some time to find a new job. what bastards.

Tomkat79 · 12/06/2013 21:16

Oh missmakes that's totally shite. Wine x

Misspositivity · 12/06/2013 20:42

missmake rotten news. Your luck will change soon keep your chin up.
jbird and kaka. I am doing smep currently on 6dpo. Going to keep it up for a few months. Apparantly 40% chance of conceiving each month. :-))). That how I conceived my last pregnancy (though ended in mc) but conceived in first month trying

AF arrived today, really pissed off, plus got horrible cramps. Oh, and to top it all, arrived home to find DH at home early - he has been sacked. Fucking brilliant. The complete arses at the company he started work for only 4 months ago have decided 'his face doesn't fit' - after 4 months of hard slog and introducing new systems etc, they now think they don't need them.

The air was blue in our house this evening. After losing my gran in March, the pregnancy in May, and not this in June - what bloody next?

At least I am not up the duff, it would be another thing to worry about. Not sure if we will try this month - partly I am optimistic he will find something else, he has been applying as soon as he got home, part of me thinks I will just worry about money. He has to be paid for 3 months, as he is still on contract till then, and we have enough savings to last a bit more than that, but they were meant to be for mat leave.

Life is a bastard.

GuffSmuggler · 12/06/2013 18:43

birds 36 times! I admire those tigers Shock

GuffSmuggler · 12/06/2013 18:42

Rubbish news jbrd! Angry

rock I admire your energy, we DTD 3 straight days before positive OPK then on that day but DH admitted defeat last night and I really don't think I can be arsed tonight. Think I'm going to hang up my shagpants for a few days.

So I'm in the 2WW

BirdsDoIt · 12/06/2013 18:32

Oh rats jbird, sorry AF has arrived. I know that Groundhog Day feeling, oh yes.

rockchick if you're in the mood then do it! No reason not to that I know of.

Read an article in the metro this pm about Sumatran tigers at London Zoo who 'mated 36 times yesterday before settling down to a chicken dinner'. Was it wrong that I thought of this thread? Smile

Rockchick1984 · 12/06/2013 17:24

Sorry to hear about AF Jbrd Sad

Well, I'm 4 days from first +OPK so have dutifully dtd every night since - if I'm sticking to SMEP I shouldn't do anything tonight but (tmi) am in the mood for it Hmm Do you all think I should hold off, or just do it anyway? Is there a reason for the night off on SMEP?

JBrd · 12/06/2013 16:26

kat This was my first cycle post-mc. Last time I managed to get pg again in that cycle, so of course I had assumed it would happen again

Yes, I am temping, charting, OPKing, CBFMing, the whole lot. My life is lead in 2-week intervals Wink

Ah well, onwards and upwards (sigh).
Funnily enough, I have also decided to try the SMEP in case I don't get pg, shall we try in parallel?! It looks exhausting, DH won't know what hit him...
