The jury's out on them to be honest but I assume u r close to lh surge. I woke DP up at 4:30 to DTD when I poas. That's said isn't it poas at 4am.

Welcome JPOBL Smile

Nice to hear from you bakingtins, so sorry you are in such limbo. Fingers crossed for a miracle for you Thanks x

Yes I am here...I had my second blood test yesterday - they cant get me in with my Dr until Monday!! So more waiting. Obviously I will ring up for my hcg levels this week anyway. Still praying every night.

Spreading lots of positivity around...x

Bakingtins · 04/06/2013 13:04

Hi ladies. Just recommended you to someone on the miscarriage board so thought I'd show my face and say hi.
I'm still in limbo nearly 2 weeks after crap scan. Baby has a weak HB and is 3 weeks behind where it should be. Have now seen 6 doctors who all agree it's on the way out but won't do anything whilst HB is still there. Have 3rd consecutive Thursday scan this week - groundhog day. Haven't really discussed with DH whether we'll try again but already have plans to go for NK testing miles away at vast expense but waiting for path results and for things to settle down before further testing means I won't be TTC for at least the next few months. By which time all of you will be graduates see? I can still be posifrickingtive on behalf of others
Just wanted to say thanks again for all your lovely messages of support, you girls are the best.

And yes I'll take all the advice on board and have some Wine this weekend. Maybe even in the sun!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/06/2013 11:33

alyant ok I'm with you now. In that case stop worrying! I had 4 days of high on my CBFM then followed by 2 days of peak this cycle. From my sample size of 1, I'd say it is 100% normal to have more than 2 days of high fertility.

Welcome justplainoldBuggerlugs and so sorry what you've been through. Lets hope we can spread some posifrickintivity your way.

DearlyDepartedMrsFinch · 04/06/2013 11:32

Gosh this thread moves fast when you have a few days off! I've tried to keep up, but I'm bound to miss something...

Firstly, congrats Liesl. Fabulous, fabulous news Grin. What with bunty's news, yours and overanxious's newest test, the posifrickinity is coming in thick and fast! Onwards, upwards, and to quote Alyant, OUTWARDS!!

Welcome to the newbies, stars, fluff (fingers crossed for you!) and buggerlugs. Buggerlugs, I have no experience of Clomid, but it does sound like you know your own body, and let's face it, 3 pregnancies in 2 and a bit years is pretty good going. Let's just hope the next one sticks.

Saggy, sorry to hear you have been struggling with DH. He sounds remarkably similar to my DH: would rather bury his head in the sand than have a real conversation if it is about anything remotely tricky (like TTC!). We have been together since we were 17. 19 years and counting. We're going away for a few days this week, so I am hoping we can bonk reconnect a bit (God, that sounds so woo, sorry). And now that the first AF is out of the way, I am feeling quite posifrickinitive.

Toddler, it also seems your DH is also cut from the same cloth. Glad to hear he has had a turn around since the last MC. The 'probably for the best' comment must've been particulary hard to take (understatement of the century). Re. trying new things: I already have the cheapie internet OPKs, the CBFM, the preseed, the folic acid, and the themometer (in for a penny, in for a pound!) but I am intrigued about the Mooncup. I do use one for AF, but what is the connection to TTC, do I really want to know?!

Good news about your bloods, penguinita Smile

alyant79 · 04/06/2013 11:26

OLTT i'm using the CB digi advance dual hormone test. They should detect oestrogen levels rising for one or two days (flashing smiley) before the LH surge (peak smiley). Sounds just like the CBFM...
So far all it's detected has been oestrogen. Confused

I haven't been taking my bbt, and I think ewcm has already been and gone Hmm although hard to tell due to all the dtd action Blush

If it's just the case that it missed my LH surge, then it was good that I got the dual hormone ones to at least see the oestrogen going up
guff I hope they work for you!

YAY!! for positivity. OLTT I second guff, i'd defo have a Wine this weekend if i were you (and if i were me)

welcome JPOBL how awful to go through all those mc and do all those tests and come up with no answers. Sad Hopefully you've just had a really really rotton run of bad luck and this will be your lucky month! It's very promising that you ovulate just fine...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/06/2013 11:17

Overanxious are you here today? How's it going with the blood tests? Everyone else, glad to see everyone being so cheerful, keep it up! Grin

I don't know why but I'm feeling a lot of posifirckintivity today. I even looked at the EDD due date. (On my phone so no one can see it on my PC screen). Let me spread some positivity baby dust around this thread to anyone who's feeling a bit down.

GuffSmuggler · 04/06/2013 10:14

alyant I'm not sure, my shiny CB digital OPKs are in the post (hurry up Amazon I'm on CD8!!) My best untechnical advice is keep DTD like rabbits until it goes negative Grin

Slightly annoyed they don't sound that simple though, I was hoping they would put an end to all the guess work.

Thanks for all your kind words yesterday, have put the incident behind me and feeling all positive again for a BFP this month.

onelittle I would definitely have a Wine as it doesn't count when you don't know Grin (baby doesn't start feeding off you for ages anyway).

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/06/2013 09:27

And saggy that's very sweet to be together since 16.

As for me, I'm on my 2ww now. I'm wondering if I should have some Wine this weekend.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/06/2013 09:26

Actually you said the packet says 1-2 days of peak. That would be the 12-48 hours of LH surge. Ofc I was being silly thinking it will should an extra day afterwards like the CBFM as a stick won't know what the reading is yesterday isn't it? Hopefully you just have a longer LH surge than normal, and tomorrow you are back to negative OPK again.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 04/06/2013 09:23

alyant are you taking your bbt as well? An LH surge can be anywhere between 12-48 hours. I assume the peak shows up when it detects LH? FWIW, the CBFM goes high when it detects estrogen, then peak when it detects LH. But it also shows an extra day of peak after it detects LH because our egg can live for about a day afterwards. So maybe yours doing this as well? If you are also taking your bbt, then you will see a sharp rise of temperature at ovulation. The two should confirm each other's reading. I find it very reassuring. Also you can check your ewcm.

alyant79 · 04/06/2013 09:19

welcome stars, sorry to hear about your mcs, but a wedding to look forward to is wonderful Smile

excellent news penguin, I hope they don't have to stab you too many more times.

wow saggy i'm impressed by both 22 years and getting together at 16. What a lovely story.

So this morning I got another high fertility flashing smiley instead of a peak smiley. That's 3 in a row now (the packet suggests that one-two is common) and I really thought that I should have ovulated today... Hmm.... does that mean a. it missed my LH surge or b. I'm not ovulating this month? or c. i ovulate later than i thought? or d. the ptests are a complete waste of money?
so confusing

Floweroct · 04/06/2013 09:10

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, and yes katatonic, plenty of mumsnet wine will be offered Grin

guff, I'm really sorry about that, some people really are so self-obsessed that they just don't think about how what they say might affect anyone else. I have a newly pregnant family member like that, except I sometimes feel she crows about her "success" deliberately. Ah rats, perhaps that's just me being bitter and unfair though, she did announce her pregancy (she was 4.5 wks at the time) the day after we had our most recent MC (which she knew about) I just though she could have waited a couple of days. I hope she never has to know how harrowing it is to lose a baby Sad

saggy, 22 years is really good going, really hope you and DP can talk everything through
