Runs back quickly to say "London, if you are 'out there', I hope everything is going well for you on the ttc front and that your new home is filled with lots of love, laughter and good times"

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 30/04/2013 21:40

Hello my dear Leaf (and other wait-ers) I hope you don't mind me gate-crashing this thread but it briefly popped up in Active Convos and I just couldn't resist popping in...

I'm really delighted to see that winterpansy has got a BFP - If you are lurking out there winter - huge, huge congratulations!

Leaf - I hope all is going well for you and your girls and that your cold clears off pronto. Blasting it with multi-vits sounds a good plan.

I am now 17 weeks and due early October. Been a weird pregnancy so far; very, very sick and sort of disconnected from the whole thing. I can't really explain it but I feel a sort of fraud - like I'm not really pregnant even though I've got the scan pictures to prove it and have spent countless evenings with my head over the toilet.

I'm not sure whether it is some sort of self-protection thing going on after last year's loss. Feel a bit sad about it really as my pregnancy with DD was a really joyful and exciting time. A tiny bit of me was even kind of sad after she was born because I missed my bump and being pregnant.

I have been lurking on the October antenatal-club thread but haven't joined as I'm too scared of jinxing things. I hope it isn't out of turn for me to say so, but I have seen serious stuff on there and I think she was once a slightly pointless wait-er too. Perhaps another one for the BFP list?

I often wonder about LoveYouForever and Tigerseye and all the other 'old' names from the first thread and hope life is treating them well.

Anyway, true to form, I have yet again written an epic post! Apologies and lots of best wishes to everyone

ThedementedPenguin · 30/04/2013 20:28

Hey everyone.

Okay so I'm 22 (23 in June) and as I said my ds is 7 (1/2) months old. Learning to crawl but still up couple times a night :)

So again as I said thinking of maybe ttc in July.

I had a smear in Oct, came back abnormal cells, biopsy in Dec and from that I've had irregular bleeding. I'm also on the pill so it might be that but I've been freaking out so I went to docs today and have to go back tomorrow for another smear, internal, swabs. So think ill hold off until all of that is over.

ZenNudist · 30/04/2013 20:21

Just seen new thread, I'm still here! Actually feeling bit broody. Still not bothered about being pregnant but feel I should try.

Guess I'm trying from may. Going on holiday so good chance to have lots of sex. Tbh I find trying to get pregnant sex really unsexy!

Anyway I'm a bit disappointed. I went for a smear & been told they 'advise' I wait for the results before trying in case by some miracle I get knocked up immediately & then have to have some treatment. Seems unlikely but now I feel guilty having unprotected sex Sad what should I do? Leave it til I get back and put off my march baby for an April one?!

Leafmould · 30/04/2013 20:13

Well, he's right, they are hilarious!

he is lovely. and it's fab being able to focus so much attention in him. He's just discovering body parts at the moment. I love that he giggles when he points to his willy Grin

Leafmould · 30/04/2013 20:11

Hi demented penguin! Welcome.

Aw, 7 months is so cute too... Enjoying playing with own feet and starting to crawl and move about!

It seems like such a long time ago.

I was warned firmly by colleague today not to get broody after I told her about my new nephew though.... She said not with such a big gap....

Leafmould · 30/04/2013 20:08

Hey, it's all about sharing our experiences on here!

I have 2 dd's, 18 months apart, so I'm with you on the 2 in nappies thing!

I have a new nephew, and their age gap is just over 2 years, and the older child is already potty trained! So I think that will be much better.

16months is such a cute age, though... Walking and chattering, but still so small and innocent!

Can I join in?

I have a 7 month old ds. I have been on discussion with Dp as to when we want another. We are thinking of starting in July but we are not sure yet.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 30/04/2013 20:02

nah. I have a toddler. 16 months or thereabouts. I was so so not ready for number 2 because Mini Cakes was still very much my baby plus the whole 2 in nappies thing and MiniCakes still not sleeping reliably thing were putting me off.

But now loads of my friends are having number 2 and we had a teeny scare (I was 2 days late) and realised that both of us were actually kind of a little bit disappointed and suddenly ttc doesn't seem like such a far away concept.

No date has been set though.

Sorry for the life story

Leafmould · 30/04/2013 19:58

Hi makes cakes when stressed , welcome to the new thread!

How long do you think you will be waiting? Is it your first?

Sounds like your baking skills will come in useful on here... I'm just serving up the fairy cakes and tea!

I have just come down with another cold, soi have bought some multivitamins and minerals today. I do hope It helps me avoid any more...
