Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

happy boo to fb, there should be a filter for blocking child related posts!

yorkie perhaps they swim sideways or something? You might have to get gravity to help!

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:51

happy as well as the tests that goosey mentioned I'm also having a ultrasound done prior to fc referral.

scone that's exactly what I thought - how on earth can they say they are going in the wrong direction?! I do wonder if it is DH's wording. I've asked him what she said 3 times now and he says I need to stop asking him now!

Good luck with shag week scone!

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:49

Sorry Merks completely ignored you there . How's the work situation? What's happening with you at the moment ? Boooo to cystitis.

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:48

Ugh FB pregnancy announcement from chavvy second cousin who had her 1st dc at 16 then declared she'd never have another. Sad

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:46

and apparently no pick for tea! I mean Brew

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:45

Flowers for Merkin as can't offer you Wine or [tea] and no pic for cranberry juice! Poor you, cystitis is hideous

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 21:44

Apologies, missed a whole page of posts when I wrote mine!

Waves to everyone I missed,
merkin cranberry capsules did the trick for me, I used to get it a lot.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:41

I think GPs might vary a bit but this is what I had:

Before they could refer me:
CD3 blood count and FSH/LH (I think!)
CD13 an ultrasound
CD21 oestradiol and progesterone
Jizz test

After initial consultant appointment I had an HSG and more progesterone test.

sconeoclock · 13/05/2013 21:40

Evening all, hope you had a good day.
yorkie refer all to fc sounds promising, I have no idea about optimum levels I'm afraid.
How can they tell swimmers are going the wrong way?

bunny yay for docs finally getting bloods, fix for good results

boom glad exam went well

I'm tired, busy day. Heading into shag week now so better get the berocca out!

Will start opk tomorrow as expecting to ov on Friday. Have been temp charting for 3 days and temps have been consistent if a little high.

DH and I have decided that if it doesn't happen for us this month then we will go to docs as it will be a year TTC and looking at last months chart we DTD at all the right times around ov.

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/05/2013 21:37

Flings self on sofa of pity dramatically. I have cystitis And I haven't even had sex Hmm

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:34

My last prescription for the pill was Feb/March 2012 and took that until August. Told the GP last time I'd been trying since last summer and she said she'd be vague in her notes so think I should be ok! Do you have to have tests before being referred? I've had the progesterone and DP has had a jizz test. Anything else?

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:30

but actually what Yokie says is probably more to the point.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:27

Hi Happy - your notes probably say how long you've been trying - I've seen different people and they knew. But you could say of course something like well that's when we started monitoring it but we hadn't used contraception for...

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:27

happy been ttc since Sep last year with mmc in Dec. yes glad we are being referred but concerned about test results.

Def say to your gp that your previous one said you'd be referred this month if no success. I'd be surprised if they went back on what your previous gp said as it would make them look incredibly incompetent.

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:09

sorry goosey never taken it

happylass · 13/05/2013 21:09

Good to hear you've got your referral yorkie. How long have you been TTC? I'm off to the GP tomorrow to demand enquire about being referred. Only been TTC 10 months but feel that's long enough. Plus lovely GP who has now deserted me left the practice said I could be referred early. Should I lie and say I've been trying the full year?

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 21:06

Can anyone who's taken Clomid tell me about when you're likely to O? I've been told to take it CD2-6. I guess the CBFM still works when taking meds..? Have to see if I can find the leaflet. If any of you can do my FC's job for her have any advice that would be great!

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 21:03

Thanks goosey I've no idea what they can do about it. Anyone else know? I'm at a bit of a loss. DH doesn't seem worried but I am. Think he's going to ring our gp back and ask some more questions that I've told him to ask as he was on the train when the gp called.

GooseyD · 13/05/2013 20:52

You could ask for another progesterone if you want to make sure Yorkie? Sorry about the news on your DH's swimmers, do you know what they tend to do about that? Good you've got your referral, I hope it comes through quickly.

Sid I agree with Boom and Barking, it can't harm to set the ball in motion, and you can still decide to take your time later on. So jealous of your DH's commitment to the cause.

Boom surely you deserve a couple of pints after an exam! (Are you not meant to be drinking?) I guess whether you get away with it depends how co-ordinated you normally are in his class Grin I normally dash off in the wrong direction in any vageuly choreographed gym classes without having a drink!

yorkiebilb · 13/05/2013 20:29

packing bunny - sounds exciting! Where are you off to on your hols?

So test results in for me and DH. Everything okay apart from the fact his swimmers are going in the wrong direction and therefore the result shows borderline subfertile. He has to go back next week and retest so not sure if I should be worrying or not.

For me all mine are okay apart from progestrone which is low (18) but I did explain that I think I ovulated later than normal (day 18 as opposed to normally 14-16) and went in for my tests on cd 20 so that would probably explain that wouldn't it?? The only thing I was concerned about was the fact that my lh and fsh levels weren't tested on cd3. I did ask her about this and she said that it wasn't a problem? Also got thyroid tested and my tsh levels were 0.6 which apparently is fine but I've read that optimial level for conception is between 1-2. Any ideas?

Regardless she's referred us to a fc which she says will take a few months.

Bunnygirlie · 13/05/2013 20:11

Ello, sorry been busy all day packing and stuff, only just sat down to chill with a vino!

Well the docs have my blood so we'll see what they say!

goose I did get +OPKs this month but I may give in to temping next month! happy yeah I know, a berry from the start and yet I don't chart! Ooh I'm a poet and I didn't know it!

Evening berries, one and all!

Exam done. I can't say that I aced it, but I'm feeling fairly confident that I at least achieved the pass mark so that will do. Got to wait a month to find out now...

Hello Sid, nice to see you! Glad you've got signed off by the neuro doc, and good on your DH giving it his all! Hope you do get your BFP, but like Barking says is it worth getting your referral through in the meantime? You're unlikely to get an appointment for at least 3 months anyway from what I gather, plenty of time in which to get diffed Grin

I don't think they're particularly hesitant to give me the PCOS diagnosis, it's more that it takes 6 wks to see a doctor following scan. Hopefully next time I see them they'll agree with what I've been saying since day dot my self-diagnosis.

Kitty how rude of the belly-rubbers! Flaunting a bump in front of a berry should require instant Thai jail time Hmm

Tally sorry to hear you suffered after your little indulgence. Hope you're feeling better. And definitely - block FB! A whole week and no tears because of bump pictures here!

Right, off to the gym. Sadly DH is the PT at the class I'm going to, and I don't want to tell him that I had two pints of super-strength peach cider after the exam...does anyone think he'll notice I'm a bit on the wobbly side..?

barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 18:04

sid it's likely to take a few months to see the fc so personally I'd ask for the referral then get knocked up naturally while waiting to be seen and take pleasure in cancelling the appointment as you don't require their services Wink .
That's what my mate did and she's the one currently diffed with twins!!Envy

barkingtreefrog · 13/05/2013 18:00

I keep hiding people on fb, although it's getting to the point that I feel I need to tell a few people what I'm doing so they know why I'm suddenly not responding to what they post. Only closer friends who I speak to via fb on a relatively frequent basis but who live far away so only contact really is fb. I know the ones I'd speak to would understand, and I'd rather do that than just look like I'm ignoring them. One friend for example has three gorgeous daughters and is always posting about their adventures in a very entertaining way, but I could do without the pangs of jealousy. She knows we're trying and I'm sure she'd be lovely about it.

SidneyBristow · 13/05/2013 17:56

Hi berries, trying to catch up after a hectic week - Sick SK, sick dog, hurt my own back but am recovering....life goes on! CD10 here and DH has chosen the "shag daily" method of TTD; I wee on things behind his back but can't find fault in his logic, even though it makes me nervous to abandon OPKs altogether (so I'm not!).

welcome scone, you have my dream job, sadly I have no self-control so could never trust myself around gorgeous cakes all day Sad

Boom sorry to hear of your scan results, that had to be a big surprise but it sounds like you're handling it really well Thanks Why are they so hesitant to diagnose PCOS though? Or am I just reading too much into it?

Tally even reading about your holiday made me want to reach for an illegal substance so who could blame you for taking advantage! Sorry for the migraine. It will pass!

Kitty I swear the universe throws pregnant ladies and tiny babies our way just to keep us on our toes! They are everywhere esp in Kston and next door as of last week, sob

Only new news my way is that the neuro my GP referred me to has said he's happy to sign off that I'm completely well and can be referred to a FC at any time, as far as he's concerned. I've gone off my meds which have kept rather nasty headaches at bay, so the last few days haven't been great, but perhaps it will pass. Not so ready to hit the FC just yet though. I keep feeling like it will happen naturally in the next few months, if I just give it time. Delusional, or just trying to be less impatient? Wink
