Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

morning from me and my bloodworm. I have found myself a local reflexologist who specialises in sub fertility. Emailed her for an appointment as she only takes calls on weekdays. The acupuncture has not worked for me on several levels, so I don't really want to continue with it. Apart from the fact that it has not regulated my cycles, I don't find it relaxing and I don't really like the therapist. Also, reflex is cheaper and I loved a taster session I had a while back. So there! Also considering options for the acne. I've read it can get worse during pg (if I get there!) due to the hormones and extra blood flow. and, in certain lights, I definitely have the beginnings of a corner 'tache. Great.

frog, bless you for being so thoughtful. Remember though, you are allowed to be happy too!
Boom (just typed boob!), I'd forgotten about your quest for a pcos diagnosis and the blood worm vs scan saga. FFS! Have you been seeing different docs, or is it the same one? I have many of the symptoms so am convinced I have some form of it. My bloods were all taken on the same day as I was still in my crazy 107 day cycle, so all it showed were high estrogen levels and LH surge as I had managed to ov that day. I have to have a day 21 prog test, but surely it should be 7 days before af due, which will not be cd 21 for me. I have absolutely no way of knowing when that would be. Been reading about diet and lifestyle stuff too....
A berry upthread asked about organising a jizz test for OH and how to go about it...I'd like to know that too, please. Does he just need to go to GP?
merks Really good to see you again and hear that you'll soon be away from the nutbar and back on mn. Did you ever get to the clinic etc? Good luck with shag week.
thunder your brother sounds great fun! Glad I'm an only child.

Thunder - brothers! Bah!

MrsB00Mbastic · 04/05/2013 10:47

Oh thunder totally agree! I still cringe about the way that we told people last time - announced it at our post-wedding party, when looking back there was definitely at least one couple there who were ttc (and still are to the best of my knowledge) and whispers we did actually post a scan on FB. I would never be so thoughtless again, but I suppose it's something you don't consider until you've experienced it from the other side.. at the time it was just great news that we thought everyone would want to share

Frog I think it's lovely that you're considering other people's feelings, and I second the motion to not announce it with a FB scan post Grin! yorkie's suggestion to text your friend sounds good to me, then if it does upset her she has time to put her brave face on x

yorkiebilb · 04/05/2013 10:34

Oh thunder bloody insensitive brothers!

Thundercatsarego · 04/05/2013 10:26

yorkie I totally agree. I would much rather get a text or email so my reaction is not being watched. If someone acts sensitively and even explains that's what they're doing then I appreciate that. Well I would if anyone ever did!

Dinner last week with family- my brother (two instadiff 'happy accident' children) asks the room- so It's best to have children when you are young?

Thanks then.

puppy yeah that's what I was thinking. Do the 'ovary' bits of your feet get puffy or hot or sonething?!

PuppyMummy · 04/05/2013 10:21

thunder there are 'areas' on your feet that correspond to the rest of your body. they can target areas of concern. I don't know how they actually tell what's going on tho! sometimes bits feel 'crunchy' or 'crackly' they can work those bits out!

yorkiebilb · 04/05/2013 10:20

frog I know it might seem like a cop out but maybe text your friend instead when you want to tell people. I have this fear that someone is going to tell me they are pregnant in person and it will be written all over my face how sad, upset and envious I am. I will then be racked with guilt that I can't be more happy for my friend and what a bitter & twisted person I have become! If you text her she can read it, deal with it in her own time, have a good cry if need be and then respond positively. Maybe not the best way I know but would save both of you some stress.

Thundercatsarego · 04/05/2013 10:11

bunny because didn't your reflexologist tell you you were about to ovulate? I was thinking something must show up on your feet for her to know this?!

frog that is sweet of you to think about others with your news. In my bitter and twisted mind I would say don't announce by putting a scan photo on fb. I certainly won't be doing that when if it happens for me!

yorkiebilb · 04/05/2013 10:06

thunder glad to hear your doc is listening and is going to up your levels. You're nearly there!

Bunnygirlie · 04/05/2013 10:03

Thunder - yes feet, I was just wondering why they might change lol

OP posts:
Frogcatcher · 04/05/2013 09:59

Thanks thunder. Great news about your doc. There are some good'uns out there then.
When I do tell people I will of course try to be super sensitive to those who may be upset having been there & seen what the berries go through. Most of my instadiffing friends have kids already but I have 1 friend who's only got 1 ovary after she had to have the other removed due to a cyst & although shes never said I think she must be TTC as she's been married 3 years this year & is 37. I will try & tell her on her own before she finds out from anyone else.

Thundercatsarego · 04/05/2013 09:44

Oh and bunny am I being a total numpty? Is reflexology not on your feet?!

Blush
Thundercatsarego · 04/05/2013 09:35

Morning all,

frog that is fantastic news. Don't feel anything bad about posting that on here, we are all thrilled for you. And ready to follow closely in your footsteps. And yes things may go wrong but today they are right, and that is the way to approach it.

How are you doing merk? Did you follow up about that clinic?

Oo spoke to my doc and she's increased my thyroxine dose a bit to get my levels lower. She said if we weren't ttc she would happily leave me where I am now but she knows we are aiming to get them lower to conceive/for pg. good eh? I like it when they are thoughtful/sensitive and look at the bigger picture.

yorkiebilb · 04/05/2013 08:46

frog that's understandable that your dp wants to be cautious until the 12 week scan. Telling your mum for support is a good thing though

Yorkiebilb - 35, cycle 9. Mmc Dec. awaiting DH swimmers test results and going to get blood tests done next week.

PuppyMummy · 04/05/2013 08:45

congratulations frog!

cramping already here!! very early as af not due til Tue. pah!

Frogcatcher · 04/05/2013 08:15

Yay kitty you found wifi! I think Mr Frog in shock as he immediately started talking about practical stuff. I then shed tears later when we were discussing when to tell people etc & it came out that he wants to be really cautious till 12 wk scan. I said I had to tell my mum before then as would need support if something bad happens. I know he's just trying to be sensible.

Thanks merkin & everyone else for kind words. I don't want to leave you as I don't know anyone in the grads! I'm sure you will all be joining me v soon though xx

GooseyD · 04/05/2013 08:11

I meant 'following 2 years 'not TTA' - I was pretty dim about the whole thing but not quite stupid enough to go backwards!!

Kitty are you there? Is it beautiful?

Barking I uninformedly agree with your uniformed assumption! Worth trying for yourself given the success stories and as you say you're heading towards treatment so it's not holding you up (which was my mistake, trying all the natural stuff before getting into the system...)

Did anyone reply re HSG and hycosy? Not exactly the same: fertilitythewholestory.blogspot.co.uk/2009/06/hycosy-vs-hsg.html

BlindKitty · 04/05/2013 07:34

YES!!!! frog you little beauty!!!! Made up for you Smile. What did mr frog say? Xxx

boom totally know what you mean. I had this little fantasy about telling dh on holiday, or before that on valentines day, before that at Xmas bla bla bla!!!

Tallyra · 03/05/2013 23:59

not much to say at the moment except ic sticks have never failed me, so frog, it's sounding good!
Oh, and the lovely lady on the phone did say that they might want to test my tubes for infection, which is a new idea for me so at least they might actually have an idea what might be wrong to be looked for!
