Come on ladies, this is the one! Time for some BFPs!

The smallprint- Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers)

OMG Barking I think your SIL has some serious issues, hopefully you can avoid her like the plague
Can't believe there are more BFPs!! Think we are on a roll.
I'm 5DPO, symptom spotting like crazy. Found a site called twoweekwait.com of course I can tick off every symptom :-)

CharmingCats · 06/05/2013 21:22

barking that all sounds like very good reasons not to bother with them any more yourselves. I'd hold dp to what he said today. She makes you feel bad, but obviously has no reason to do so. She does it to other a d gives people ulcers! Do not feel bad about the fb thing - she wanted the reaction from you. Cow! If other people don't bother, you don't need to either. Life is too short and full of nicer people to waste energy on her.

barkingtreefrog · 06/05/2013 21:16

Charming according to DP (and he's known her about 10 years I think) this is normal behaviour for her. As he tells it, she is the cause for all the friction between DP's Dad and his brother, they hadn't spoken for 6 years after she kicked off at her wedding because DP's dad dared to change out of his suit during the evening do. Apparently this was unforgivable. Close family friends helped make bridesmaids dresses etc for the wedding but she got so increasingly unreasonable and demanding as the day got closer that one of them put her stomach ulcer down to the stress SiL was putting her under, and they haven't had anything to do with the family since. DP's stepmum has as little to do with her as possible, she's confided in me before that she struggles to hold her tongue. DP's Dad even commented after they'd visited for the first time in years (after they'd had their first kid they decided to speak to his Dad & wife again so they could show off the kid) that at least SiL had a child to go on and on about, so it wasn't all about her anymore....

Bunnygirlie · 06/05/2013 21:10

Cheers ladies, will book tomorrow! Wasn't due to ov till end of the week so this is odd but who knows!

barking we went on a family holiday a few years ago with pil and instadiffer SIL and her DH. She barely spoke to any of us for the whole week. She ate her meals in her room alone while her DH ate with us and was generally monosyllabic. I was very upset by the fact that she was creating an atmosphere that was ruining our only holiday for that year. I wanted to go home early, but my DH wouldn't do that. Mil tried to find out what was wrong, but was quite clumsy about it and made SIL worse. It was dreadful. We all went away together for xmAs just gone and it was soooo different. She was really chatty and we had some good conversations together. I have to think that maybe she was very unhappy a few years ago. Doesn't excuse her behaviour at all, but might explain it. I don't think they were ttc then, as they had a plan for it, but perhaps she was upset at having to wait....anyway, what I'm trying to say is, maybe your SIL is having a hard time over something that has nothing to do with you. Shitty behaviour, but is it in character? Has she done this before?

CharmingCats · 06/05/2013 20:36

Yes, bunny, I'd go for day 19. Sounds like your cycles are short enough that day 19 could be 7 days before af, which is when the day 21 test should be.....could actually be better.

BoodIeBee · 06/05/2013 20:33

Yes, Bunny, do it! Book that blood test! I was going to say do it on day 19 anyway. Just see when AF arrives and if its a lot more or less than 7 days from blood test then you'll just have to repeat!

barkingtreefrog · 06/05/2013 19:55

Go for it bunny, sounds like a good plan to me.

Sorry about your crap weather kitty, hope it improves tomorrow!

Bunnygirlie · 06/05/2013 19:14

kitty crap that your holiday is rainy Sad

Ooh frog so whatcha gonna do? Test again or wait few days then test and then go see docs?

Guess what, got a +opk today YAY! Haven't had a + for a few months, and bit early CD12 so I'm guessing I should book in for some bloods on day 19 yeah?

Frogcatcher · 06/05/2013 18:21

barking Shock at your SIL. That is just plain rude! Did her parents not say anything to her?!

Oh no kitty that is total pants. Maybe you could practice for shag week? Wink

Frogcatcher · 06/05/2013 18:19

Bunny AF due tmrw according to FF as will be 14DPO but average cycle is 29 days & last month was a 34 day cycle (tho probably anovulatory). I daren't temp either in case they've dropped!

I would love to be able to say that we did something different this time & have found the magic bullet but I don't think we did. We DTD the day I got a positive OPK (the last Broadchurch episode too) & that was the day I Ov'd according to FF as well as two alternate days before that. This may be TMI but what i consider the Key Ov shag aka the post-broadchurch one was from behind with me lying on my stomach. I didn't use the conceiveplus but had noticed some ewcm. I then rolled over, did a few pelvic dips & went to sleep with a pillow under my hips I think. I guess I remember all that as it was the first time I've got a positive OPK so I thought it was worth remembering in case it was significant!

BlindKitty · 06/05/2013 16:58

barking sil isn't even worthy of my cat today!!!

If its still raining tomorriw I'm afraid I'm going to have a meltdown!!!! Wouldn't mind being stuck in doors if it were shag week!

Bunnygirlie · 06/05/2013 16:54

frog still keeping everything crossed for you, when would AF have been due?

Omgbarking I want to lunch your SIL on your behalf grrrrr, I think I'd be drinking more than one small Wine this eve!
And yep I did have to bite my tongue! I just hope that one day I am in her situation and wishing I had some peace and quiet and boredom!

Berries - a question, as you know I have had 2 lots of bloods (on days 24 and 20) so far that came back with low levels and doc wants me to get a third, day 21 will be when I am on holiday and am gutted I will just miss another month. Thinking about it today I am considering booking for the day before my holiday which will be day 19, what do you think?

Ok so celebrating was the wrong word but I've spent the weekend trying to be positive about not being pg yet by feeding myself bollocks about it not being the perfect time yet but it will be when it happens

barkingtreefrog · 06/05/2013 15:59

Thanks for the support berries Grin . You'd be proud of me, I was strong, even when they talked babies and even when MiL then turned to me and asked when my ultrasound was. Timing, woman, timing.

However, SiL was a complete bitch. As DP put it when we got out of the pub 'well that was a hideously uncomfortable meal and she had a face like she was chewing a wasp'. Angry
She actually sat with her back to us (sideways on her chair and side on to the table facing her child), didn't make any effort to make conversation and was on fb on her phone during the meal!!! How ignorant!!
She's obviously pissed off with me/DP/both of us but we haven't got a clue why! DP is fuming Angry . Said she was behaving like a spoilt child.

On the drive home now, DP is saying we are never doing that again Grin . He's too nice though, so I doubt he'll stick to it.

Hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday. Bunny I think I might have failed to hold my tongue on that one, I'd have probably sent a sarcastic message. Well done for your self restraint!! Wine

I will be celebrating my non-pregnant state by having a small glass of wine tonight Smile .

Frogcatcher · 06/05/2013 15:39

Afternoon all. Hope it's going as best as can bebarking. Congratulations tart & foody - definitely a trend here!

Lovely sunny & hot on the South CoAst so we have spent the morning (me,DP & SS) gardening & about to have a BBQ. I have done 2 nights sober at a party & pub but still so much in denial that haven't pimped for 2 days in case it comes back negative! I'm just going to see if AF turns up this week & if she doesn't then going to re-confirm one last time & then book a drs appt next week. Eeeeek! It's really happening. Best friends baby born yesterday so timing is actually perfect to help deal with that horrible usual jealous happy combo.

Bunnygirlie · 06/05/2013 14:55

Lovely sunny day but I'm bored, I dared to put that on fb and one of my friends who has children comments oh I wish I had the chance to be bored, we should swop lives, she hasn't a clue!!! Grrrrrr

(sits on the sun lounger of despair dreaming of ice cream)

ah, yes, the vomming cat.....
you could ask them whether they tried the sperm omlette, 'wow - it obviously works..ha ha, thought it was an urban myth...'

BlindKitty · 06/05/2013 12:09

Barking just be like 'oh goodness, you've had a baby, I didn't realise!!!! Then if she pisses you off, I'm sending the cat in...

CharmingCats · 06/05/2013 12:05

sending good vibes to barking. You can do it! Agree with sid, just pretend you hadn't noticed the block Biscuit

SidneyBristow · 06/05/2013 11:25

Sending good vibes your way barking; you got this! Just pretend you hadn't noticed the block. Think of how happy you'll be when it's your bump on display; just try not to think about hers. Let us know how it goes! Thanks

barkingtreefrog · 06/05/2013 11:10

Ooo congratulations Book another one!!!! Grin Grin Grin

I'll catch up properly later, just needed to pop in to selfishly ask for some positive berry vibes. Off for lunch with the MiL and DP's brother and SiL will be there with child and bump. Haven't seen them since bump was announced and she blocked me on fb. I am scared I am not going to handle this well. We're about half an hour away in the car and I can ready feel myself choking up. Can someone please slap me with a sausage and be ready to lunch me if necessary. I do not want to embarrass myself in front of his family or cause any more family tension when there's plenty there already Sad .

GooseyD · 06/05/2013 09:43

Happy bank holiday

Kitty and Boom thank you for the support of your cat and dog Smile

Frog and Book and Foody it really gives hope to hear of bfps after difficult journeys there - and I can so understand the nervousness and 'imposter' feelings.

Frog I think you're right to be wary of announcing to your friend who may not be TTC in a way that implies she is or should be - and as others have said I would go for the text or email (not during work hours).

Teachers I reckon you just have to go for it, it's difficult enough anyway! I had a GCSE teacher who went on maternity in exam prep time, and we had a rubbish cover - BUT if anyone asked me if I thought she should have waited the answer would be no every time.

BookTart · 06/05/2013 09:20

No kitty, my appointment with the fc to discuss iui is booked for the week after next. I'll cancel it at the end of next week if things are going okay, but I'm still worried about another cp so I'm hanging on to it for now in case. I hope your letter is waiting for you when you get back :)

BlindKitty · 06/05/2013 08:40

book that's what happened to my friend post Hsg,no joy for me though. So did you ever actually get to iui? My first iui is due very soon, hoping for a letter when I get back from holiday.

boodle that does make me feel better. Thank god dh ripped game of thrones for the iPad!
