We are Barren. We are Evil, on account of having left procreating until our 30s. We are Selfish, thinking only of careers and money and cars and holidays. And lastly, we are Hags. Welcome to the BESH gin palace. Babydusters and instadiffers need not apply.

Can you imagine how terrible it would be if one of our heroes was found to be a drugs cheat - Cav or Chris or Wiggo or Victoria or Nicole. How many people Armstrong let down :(

for a minute there I thought you might be a lying cheating bastard with cold dead eyes.

HesterShaw · 21/05/2013 22:31

Evening Primrose Oil.

Never been a fan of coagulating my blood on purpose!

EPO, Hest? Erythropoietin? Like Lance Armstrong?

evilgiraffe · 21/05/2013 21:47

I take pregnacare, but I'm a bit slapdash with it, to be honest - I aim for every day, but frequently forget. I discoverd a two year old half-empty box of agnus castus in the cupboard the other day, though. It's now in the bin, along with my hopes. I really am expecting to be starting with adoption this time next year; a baybee of my own making seems like a ludicrous pipe dream.

Your post was completely realistic, bugs. Some will think it harsh, but it's truthful rather than cynical, so I reckon you're okay.

Are we really the barrenest BESH ever? Were there lots of miracle wins in the olden days?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 21/05/2013 21:44

I still take folic acid, though not at the moment as I'm on the cycle that never ends Hmm. I'm on the cheap stuff - Holland & Barrett buy one get one free - cant be arsed with the expensive Pregnacare and the like now. I take vitamin D when I remember.

HesterShaw · 21/05/2013 21:42

I'm taking a B vit complex which amusingly turns my wee radioactive, EPO pre ov, Omega 3 supps, and DHEA.

Don't know why I bother, but still.

OP posts:
EuroShaggleton · 21/05/2013 21:20

I'm still on the frolic acid. And a cocktail of other things that seem to do nothing other than make my wee expensive.

JethroTull · 21/05/2013 21:16

I thought your post was great Bugs. Sorry your holiday was a bit shit.

Northey · 21/05/2013 21:14

I haven't bothered since ivf, to be honest. Though I did plod on quite obediently beforehand.

TWinklyLittleStar · 21/05/2013 21:13

Following from your post on that fred bugs - are any of you still taking folic acid daily like TTCers are meant to, or has everyone long since given up on that?

HesterShaw · 21/05/2013 20:46

You don't seem like a cowbag x

You could go to the Covered Market and get Bens Cookies while you're there. Yum.

Northey · 21/05/2013 20:20

When next droid turns up, i phone the clinic to start a frozen cycle. At least I won't have the faff of trying to co-ordinate with AMNH this time. I can just have a few nice day trips to Oxford at my own leisure.

Northey · 21/05/2013 20:17

A brown foof would sound gross, even if it wasn't.

Can't believe how ivf-y we are at the moment. We really must be the barrennest BESH ever.

frank, that sounds amazing!

Arf at Euro's secret compartment!

EuroShaggleton · 21/05/2013 20:07

Ouch draf. You sound very stoic in the face of all that prodding and poking.

frank that sounds like an amazing trip. I am very jealous.

I was warned by the consultant to expect bleeding and iodine fallout from last night's antics. So far, not a drop. Do I have a secret storage compartment up there or something? Maybe that is where the spaff has been hiding, explaining lack of diffage. Hmm Still, I'm not complaining.

CaptainMoll · 21/05/2013 20:07

Frank - sounds like you've well and truly given NY a thrashing. You packed a lot in there! BESH takes Manhatten..

Draff - fucking ow! I'm still wincing from Euro's foof-yanking! (And a bit from my own wounds)

Re my wagon-alighting plans, I reckon a 6-month break is exactly what's needed. We're in a place of great financial uncertainty, still living in a two-thirds finished home, BEs out of his tree and I've got 4 jobs on the go. I'm looking at my stable, employed, well-housed friends who have babies and they're struggling enough as it is. If I got diffed now (ha), i could only claim the measly self-employed person maternity pay, and BE is now freelance too, so he'd get diddly-all paternity. I think we might actually destroy ourselves physically mentally and financially if we don't pause and get some of our ducks in a row before embracing the remote possibility of baybee.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 21/05/2013 19:26

God, that's long Blush. Sorry!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 21/05/2013 19:26

Euro sorry to hear about your iffy results, but glad you've found a Dr that at least appears proactive.

Evil, I second the "ouch" Shock

Moll, sounds like you are forming a plan.
