We are Barren. We are Evil, on account of having left procreating until our 30s. We are Selfish, thinking only of careers and money and cars and holidays. And lastly, we are Hags. Welcome to the BESH gin palace. Babydusters and instadiffers need not apply.

frank can't wait for the hat picture. I love a big hat. Alas I have an enormous head.

Moll I can't add anything more to what the others said, they're all very wise. I'll be thinking of you. The last time I came round from GA I talked an incredible amount of shite to the poor recovery nurse. GA does strange things. Hopefully they can change something for you so you have a better experience.

euro & hest, I feel slightly better about my tesco-style now. Going on holiday always highlights how fat, pale and badly dressed I am.

Hi norf! Good tassel dancing :) How are you?

CaptainMoll · 12/05/2013 09:31

Thanks BESH. I heart you.

Frank, hat sounds fab.
Norf, lovely tassling.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/05/2013 09:09

Hello Hags, sorry to report I have no picture of the hat at the moment. It's a hire shop so I will take a picture when I pick it up on 10th June. Tis a traditional hat, but wide and it's a pale pinky/brown colour to go with my dress. I had picked out a pale pink hat and a white one to try on but the lady who owns the place said "Hmm, Im not sure the colour's quite right. how do you feel about big hats?" and whipped out this whopper that I hadn't even spotted on the rails (they have 900 hats!).

I tried it on with my dress and 2 women standing near by both went "Oooh, that's lovely!" so I was sold on it!

Capp, sorry to hear about the stress. I was very scared before my Laporoscopy in 2011. It was my first general anaesthetic and I was convinced I'd have an allergic reaction and die Blush. As the others have said, it's natural to be scared. Just make sure you let them know that your nervous.

Welcome back Norf

4 more sleeps till NYC Grin.

EuroShaggleton · 12/05/2013 09:02

Can I have a belated "heh" at faif's "no Virgin in the bedroom". Let's hope not eh? It would make for a bit of a crap marriage. Wink

I've just ordered Sherlock on DVD, so maybe I will come to see what all the fuss is about with the Batch. We have no Virgins anywhere in our house, so it was the way forward.

frank I hope you had a lovely birthday. Hurrah for hat purchasing.

Hest I agree. In the IL's village, the first clothes shop has opened up. It is fucking awful. It's like a dodgy market school and looks like it might all go up in a big ball of flame if anyone rubs two of the polyester monstrosities together, there are so many cheap manmade pieces of crap in there.

I completely get the freak out. GA makes me want to run when I come round. So I do... Speak to the surgeon. Be very clear that you do not consent to anything other than removal of lumperdink. If he/she finds anything else, it can be dealt with later, after discussion with you (if this is what you want - it risks going through it all a second time, of course). It's your body - nothing can be done without your consent.

HadALittleFaithBaby · 12/05/2013 08:38

Totally natural to be scared cappy, especially after last time. The anaesthetist will come to talk to you before the op so I agree to ask for the nice drucks. They might even be able to offer you a different anaesthetic - there's different types. They absolutely can't take your womb without your permission - just make sure you know exactly what they will and won't be doing before you go under too.

Grin at Middle Ages Russian!

RaspberrySnowCone · 12/05/2013 08:28

I had the same irrational worry about my womb being removed too. They absolutely won't do it, if they find anything other than what they have discussed with you they'll wake you up and talk to you about it

Northey · 12/05/2013 06:56

Bloody hell! A few weeks away and I miss the FCFU of the decade! Will I look weird nipple tasseling alone? Ah fuck it! Congratulations, noks, you clever old sechser. I expect you just relaxed, didn't you?

CaptainMoll · 11/05/2013 23:21

Thanks Merk, and also for making me snigger a lot at the stray Russian testicle.
I was super chilled when I went under before - joking with the nurse etc. then I came round into a massive and painful panic attack. It was so horrible. I didn't realise anaesthetists could do clever things like that with the drucks though, so I'll ask about that.

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/05/2013 23:14

And also, surely you have to give permission for them to take out your womb before you go under? They won't do anything without your permission x

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/05/2013 23:12

Clearly the Russian was middle aged and not from the Middle Ages although that may have added to the hilarity

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/05/2013 23:11

cap re general. I was petrified with my first (due to not wanting to die and also horrific big fear of being sick when I woke up). Talk to your anaesthetist who can give you different drugs so you are calm and not ill when you wake... Honestly changed my fear entirely as I woke up shivering but no sickness and entirely calm. Stress how scared you are, it's their job to make you more comfortable and its entirely possible. Other than that, be brave, the being wheeled in and the countdown are awful but they only last for seconds and after that its all done. I'm behind so when is it? It will be fine, promise.
Hols were luffly, combination of dirty weekend with VVTM then girls hol (repeat of hen do) when he had to go home to work. Cheap, hot, beautiful villa and hilarious instance on a boat when a Russian Middle Ages bloke stripped off to his red speedos without realising his (large) left bollock was hanging out of his pants in an obvious manner. Have not laughed so much in years!!

HesterShaw · 11/05/2013 23:05

Ps, no problem Moll. Tis natural to be scared. You should have seen the gibbering mess I was before my HSG.

I'm amending my crush of shame on my BESHtionnaire - Jake from Avatar. He's blue FFS.

Thanks Hest.

HesterShaw · 11/05/2013 22:17

Lovely Moll, just holding your hand. Tis scary I know. But the chances are you will be fine because they have said so. And they can't whip out your womble unless not doing so is life threatening in the short term. WHICH IT WON'T BE.

OP posts:
CaptainMoll · 11/05/2013 22:11

Oh BESH, I am having a freak out. I am so desperately not wanting this surgery. I'm really scared of general anaesthetic - last time I came round screaming. I'm so scared that they'll find out lumperdinck is evil and take my womb out, and that whichever result comes from the dye job, it'll mean more tests and invasions and crap. I've been trying so hard to be brave and pretend it's all fine and now I'm stuck at work by myself going all wobbly.
Any words fish of comfort much welcomed.

CaptainMoll · 11/05/2013 22:00

And yes plz to hat pic also.

CaptainMoll · 11/05/2013 21:59

Did you have some lovely hols despite barrenness, Merk? Hope so..

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/05/2013 21:15

Oh and had a mini scroll and need to point out to Frank that Grohl is mine, ALL MINE (although would also not be too put out by being left with Taylor)

JethroTull · 11/05/2013 21:13

Can we see the hat pliz? I've got a massive head, hats just don't fit me.

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/05/2013 21:13

Evening BESH, just back from hols. Still barren and no hope this month as I failed at having the sechs. Hope you're all doing better than me. Don't worry, have cracked the wine gin Wink

RaspberrySnowCone · 11/05/2013 21:00

I sometimes wish I had an event to buy a big hat for but the chances are I'd look at massive twat. I'm really not a hat person.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 11/05/2013 15:19

Ascot hat sorted. It's a whopper, but if you're going to do Ladies Day you might as well make a statement Grin

HesterShaw · 11/05/2013 14:35

Fuck the French. Have never found them particularly stylish anyway, with their stripy t shirts and onions round their necks.

OP posts:
TWinklyLittleStar · 11/05/2013 14:17

This afternoon I have restocked my holiday wardrobe. In Tescos. The French are going to slaughter my fat lily-white badly clothed ass, aren't they.
