Loads of water. If you don't have the sachets, bicarb of soda to turn your pee more alkaline (be warned, I tried this once and went a bit overboard and thereby discoved that this has a laxative effect....). It did the trick though, but did entail a lot of time in the loo from the peeing and the rest...

Ahem. I believe I can help here. Blood in wee is pretty severe cystitis, bordering in kidney infection, but nothing to worry too much about. You may need antibiotics though. I once ended up in A&E in Pembrokeshire while on my first holiday with MrHest as I appeared to be pissing blood. Had to have a bladder x ray, but it was just cystitis. Too much sex.

Not happened since obv.

I would second the gallons of water. 1. it will give you something to actually pee out when you do go and 2. it will flush the horrid bacteria that are gathered in your urethra out regularly. Take some paracetamol too, they will help!

I thought I remembered something bout cranberry juice being bad. Thanks for the confirmation. NHS website says blood is a symptom so a little calmer. Am off now to attach my mouth to the cold water tap whilst permanently sat on the loo peeing WinkHmm back in a better mood soon, thanks for the answers

Merks - aside from those sachets of powder, I do remember the bombshell news that cranberry juice once you've got the cystitis is bad as its acidic and makes it worse. It's a prevention not a treatment. I vote you make an emergency appt with your gp tomorrow. I don't know about blood in wees but it sounds unpleasant. Maybe call 111 and talk to an NHS direct person?

Seem to remember somebody having brilliant advice re cystitis, can anyone enlighten me as I have my first dose for 10 years and its agony? and it's not even sechs related
Hope all well and fb pregnancy announcements are successfully hidden. Perhaps someone should invent bellybook or something equally crap to move all pregnancy statuses elsewhere

Speaking of presents from the cat, I had to rescue a mouse from our cat on Sunday. She brought it into our bedroom at 4am Angry
It was alive and unharmed as far as I could see, so I scooped it up and chucked it into the flower bed. I hope to god none of the neighbours were about as I had to go out in nothing but a pair of knickers and a vest as I had the mouse cupped in my hands and couldn't put a coat on. HWHNN slept through it all Hmm

Twink I think more likely the sonographer couldn't be bothered to work the weekend - I was originally told day 6 (which would be Saturday), which is what I did last time and was too early to see anything. So I think it will be a wasted trip, but at least it will get the ball rolling.

Well done on the weightloss draf. I feel like a right heifer at the moment. :(
