am testing again tomorrow and this will be the last time. having been told by gp surgery that my blood test (done on Tuesday) had come back with "we don't do blood pregnancy tests", I am going to make one more attempt to try and determine if I'm pg.

have all the simptoms, even feel like I'm getting a little bump (if I am I'll be nearly 8 weeks), but all tests bfn.

please please please let it be a bfp. a week since did last test.

Sad Wannabe

Nag, nag and nag some more until you get a scan. Even if your not pg at least the gp's can get on and do relevant tests to find out whats going on.

If you are and like you said you would be around 8 weeks, thats good enough to see something on a scan.

Good luck Smile

bloody hell wannabe whats going on you must be so frustrated.I agree with the others bombard your gp on monday and tell tem you want to go to the epu for a scan.xx

Hopecat · 13/05/2006 14:28

Bloomin' eck wannabe! I can imagine how gutted you felt this morning. Sad. How frustrating.

I agree with the others - sounds like it's time to bully your GP for a scan referal. We want to know if your new bump is a beany.

coggy · 13/05/2006 12:15

I had an early scan at seven weeks - so it would be viable now for you wouldn't it?
Have you asked if that's a possible next step?
It seems mad that there is nothing else being sorted for you.
Sorry that it wasn't the answer you wanted this morning. Sad

wannabe, i have read quite a few of your threads, just posting to say im so sorry that you are going through this, and also angry that the hospital wont just book you in for a scan, surely that would be easier for everyone? is paying for a private scan an option? i really really hope you get the result you so obviously want, and not in 7 months time!!! Smile

Natty1806 · 13/05/2006 11:01

Oh WannabeSad

At least you seem in good spirits, i would get down that doctors on monday and not move until they tell you what is going on.

However i think i did read on another thread that someones friend got bfn up until she was 11 weeks.

wannaBe1974 · 13/05/2006 10:37

morning all :)

Well, tested and still bfn. Not really much else I can do now I guess - just hope I give birth in 7 months or so, lol. Am past the point of being upset, after all I've had so many bfn's now and still the simptoms continue.

Am busy training with new dog over the next wwo weeks so won't have time to think about it really, thing is dh is still being positive, saying that I've got all simptoms, including those spots you get on your boobs and what looks like a developing bump, but surely surely if I was pg the tests would be bfp, well i guess there's a chance I'm a freak but ... :O.

Anyway time will tell, will have to go back to gp, if I am pg then it will show sooner or later, if not, then I just hope the nhs can be bothered to take it further.

thanks for all the good luck though :) (((hugs)))

Good luck wannabe, we're all hoping for you!

Hopecat · 12/05/2006 18:20

I'd be bloody fuming! Can't they send it to a different hospital?

Can you call a GUM clinic or Marie Stopes Centre in your area to see if they do blood tests? Sometimes it's easier to bypass GPs in my experience.

I know that the GP is probably thinking 'another week or so isn't very long to wait', but if you are PG, this kind of stress is the last thing you need.

Hope this all gets sorted out for you asap.

wannaBe1974 · 12/05/2006 18:14

it is! but the surgery were unaware, and what annoys me most is that the nurse actually rang the hospital while I was there to check what colour tube the blood had to go in for the hcg test and they confirmed it! so why didn't they say then that they don't test for hcg? as you might imagine I am more than a little annoyed about this.

GOOD LUCK WANNABEEEEE... (shouting to you from London).

Keeping everything crossed for you. Quite painful, but probably toning me up.

Maybe your GP won't have to eat her hat after all. Grin

By the way, they don't do blood PG tests? That's crap.
