Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Morning all, especially thunderpants heheh!

Thanks for all the outrage on my behalf ladies. Actually going for coffee with the FB offender this morning, so have decided to tell her (nicely) just how hurtful she can be. Wish me luck!

Sorry about imminent af thunder and bunny

Hope you survive the hangover merk!

Trying123 · 19/04/2013 08:59

morning berries!!
thunder and bunny thats rubbish. enjoy the dinks though bunny!!
Barking - maybe you can help with this - according to OPKs i did not OV till day 21-22, yesterday was the first day i would usually get AF from (cal be a bit irregular). Looking at calenders I may not even have implanted yet (if I had been lucky) so am I right in thinking there is no point in POAS? at least not for a few days/week, provinding AF stays the f* away?

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 08:29

Thunderpants...do I feel a NC coming up...?!

Bugger about af bunny but good about a good piss up this weekend. Hope the hangover's not too bad merk

Bunnygirlie · 19/04/2013 08:22

thunder pants!

AF due Monday and I can feel her on her way already! It's good really as have a big piss up next week and not sure how I'd manage a night out with work not drinking, it would be obvious!!!

kitty did you get an answer last night? Could you post a link to your chart. BBT is the best way (other than bloods obv) to confirm ovulation and without a temp rise it would seem likely you didn't O... However don't panic as I understand everyone has anovulatory cycles once in a while so it may just be coincidence that it happened this month for you

CatsCantFlyFast · 19/04/2013 08:05

Sorry bout that Thunder.
I wasn't around last night as was busy drinking wine with friends! However will catch up tonight once I've struggled through today with a hangover

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 07:46

Morning all, we're all rather quiet at the mo?

Well I poas and got a bfn so I'm out this month. I have to say I'm not surprised and there is a part of me that is relieved because I'd worry so much if I got pg before my blood levels are sorted out. Fed up of being patient though!!

Boodlebum · 19/04/2013 00:05

You're not quite talking to yourself there, Barking, I'm just about still here but very tired now so sleepy times! Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow!

barkingtreefrog · 18/04/2013 23:39

Kitty do you usually have a 'normal' cycle length and luteal phase? It wouldn't be unusual for me to ovulate later than cd21 but then I have irregular cycles and a short LP.
Would taking clomid the previous month have an effect on your following cycle? I don't know, although I'm sure I read somewhere that if anything it's supposed to kick start your body into a more regular pattern, even after the course.
So that was a really unhelpful answer. But I did try. Sorry.

barkingtreefrog · 18/04/2013 23:33

Aha! Boodle! Did we go to different parties, I didn't see you?!

I was told it would be 3 months for my next appointment and they'd send me a letter nearer the time then I would call and book in. That makes it July for me as well. I'm desperately hoping that DP will have had his op and recovered from it by then so we can jump to it as soon as they give me the sweeties in July!!!! Obviously assuming they don't find a nasty problem during the hsg or scan....

I'm sure it'll all be fine. DP's plentiful sperm will soon be swimming through and dancing with the well formed egg that will have floated down my healthy tubes and the sweeties will ensure that there is a comfy and well padded womb ready to check it in... I think I've forgotten a bit of the story...
Sweet dreams!!

barkingtreefrog · 18/04/2013 23:25

Nipping in late again. Always after the party .

Peanut I don't think you were being ranty enough, I would have exploded!! I hate all this waiting anyway, but when the results are sitting there, and saying something, but no-one is bothering to do anything about it... grrrrrr......
And your fb friend needs hiding from your news feed. My best friend is an instadiffer with two gorgeous kids and she occasionally says things like that. Another friend (who incidentally has just had part of her womb removed while having what was supposed to be keyhole surgery and nothing to do with her womb - totally different story but imagine waking up from an op to find that out Sad ) had said to my friend how lucky she was to share an interest with her husband - they both like outdoors stuff, running, biking etc. She said it was a nightmare as they fight about who gets to go for a run and who has to look after the kids.
No, that's not a nightmare. Angry

Boodlebum · 18/04/2013 23:13

Hello Berries! I'm rocking up fashionably late to the party, as always!

Kitty, hard to say about your BBT really. How accurately have you been taking your temps? What CD do you usually ovulate on? I've been charting for a while (I have 19 full charts, I think) and of those, 2 or 3 haven't detected ovulation. I have also had 2 where ovulation was quite significantly delayed; I didn't ovulate until CD 22 a couple of months ago when I was a bit stressed with work. I also ovulated late in the month we had Ofsted! Have you been feeling particularly stressed this month? Perhaps you could share your chart so someone could analyse it for you! (Someone like Merk! Haven't seen her on here today - hope you're alright, lovely Merk, wherever you are!)

Peanut, your friend, despite being otherwise lovely, needs a good kick up the arse. What an utterly insensitive thing to say and even more crappy to change her status to what she did. I'd be sorely tempted to write a sarcastic comment on it but no point stooping to the level and all that.

Barking - just because you're in the same boat, thought you might like to know that I had a letter today with my 3 month follow-up appointment; it's going to be early July. I might ring up after my HSG and ask if they have anything sooner as I think I will have got that done by early May! The FC seemed to think I would have it until June!

BombasticPeanut · 18/04/2013 22:54

So you all know, I feel a lot better for being a rantypants today. Thanks for putting up with me

BombasticPeanut · 18/04/2013 22:51

Oh-em-actual-gee bunny, as if people are that thoughtless!

Mind you, girl in question has just changed her status to 'xxxx dreams of date night' SERIOUSLY?? I'm annoyed. I just don't understand how she can be so effing tactless. (I probably shouldn't post all this on here because if she read it she'd know it was her and I'm sure she'll be on MN, but I can't imagine she'd ever venture into a berry thread!)

Even if your doc isn't working, surely you can get your results? I just phone up and the receptionist gives me them (when the hospital hasn't lost them chunter chunter)

Cate555 · 18/04/2013 22:48

Peanut What a nightmare you are having! It's so stressful having to constantly rant on the phone to get anywhere. And now your friend is being totally insensitive Sad

Bunnygirlie · 18/04/2013 22:29

Grrrrrr peanut what a witch! My beautician friend (with the tubes that are fecked) told a friend of hers that she had to have ivf and in the replying text the girl said, oh that's awful, guess what I'm pregnant! FFS!

tally don't think my doc works Fridays!

peanut and trying my friends little girl kept singing moonpiss.com Shock

GRRRAAOWWWL

My friend, who is in all aspects other than this entirely lovely, has just been chatting to me on FB. During the course of the conversation (in which I mentioned I'd been to cinema with DH tonight) she not only said 'f** off with your date night, you're so lucky - it's a dream for us, please make the most of it while you have the chance' but also 'just remember it always happens to people who seem to relax about it'. Bear in mind she's a total instadiffer who's had 3 babies in 3 years, and knows perfectly well about both the mc and the fact that we're struggling.

I don't think she has the slightest inkling that she might have just upset me Angry Angry Angry

Tallyra · 18/04/2013 22:19

No Kitty, it's the initial gynae appt at the hospital after referral from GP. Our main problem is that we both really dislike condoms, so I know it's not really a good reason not to dtd, but it really dampens the whole thing and makes me not really want to do it as much. I'd like to talk to the nurse about getting the coil put back in, but it'd probably upset things for whatever tests might be planned for me in the near future... Angry

BombasticPeanut · 18/04/2013 22:08

Bwaha Mooncup.com! Can't say I've ever tried one for either reason. I always assumed I'd get in a bit of a..erm..mess? But do correct me if I'm wrong, oh mooncuppers!

Kitty not a clue I'm afraid, but sure the temping experts will be along to help soon Grin

Charming we DTD about 2-3 days, SW or not except when AF is around. This is mainly because I don't know when SW is, but also because he totally wilts under pressure so I just don't tell him when I think we might be in with a chance. This leads to some frustrating times when I'm convinced the big O is happening, but we do manage it a lot at least it feels that way so I reckon if a sneaky egg does make a break for it, we're covered...hopefully.

CharmingCats · 18/04/2013 22:06

kitty, sorry I don't know the answer to that one. The other berries will though!

sid another ktown lady! Too many bumps around, by far. You're right about my teacher. But, he was like this last year, apparently, so it's not just because he's on the home stretch. If I do end up staying at my school, I'd hope I wouldn't be with him again. I'd have to do something drastic! Like get pg!

Trying123 · 18/04/2013 21:51

bunny and frog mooncup.com made me laugh!!! nice to know there are some fellow mooncup converts on here too!
Didn't ever think one would help with TTC but have wondered about putting a cap in after??
peanut i would not be quietly by fuming, but loudly exploding! twats! Oh and the GP will have to see you if you just make an appt.
sid hi! totally pick your timing with 'issues' especialy if they are ongoing and would not be resoved completely when you bring them up anyway!

BlindKitty · 18/04/2013 21:31

Oh knowledgeable berries I know I could post my own thread for this but I'd rather just as you guys!

Last month I started to BBT (I was taking clomid) and had a perfect chart with a rise consistent with the OPK. However, I decided against clomid this month and also decided to sack off the OPKs for once. I've had no BBT rise (I'm CD 21) but I've had some CM several days ago.

Do you think its possible that I've not ovulated? Or just that the BBT hasn't worked for me this month? Whenever I've had progesterone tests, my results have been excellent, hence why I doubted needing the clomid in the first place!

BlindKitty · 18/04/2013 21:22

barking I?m sure I do your mantra every Sunday at yoga ?it doesn?t effing work lol!!!!

Vicky very jealous of your IVF! Been ttc for 2 years too, its rubbish isn?t it?!!!

Tally is the appointment for a HSG? When I had mine, the woman who booked it was like ?if you have sex at all we will know about it? hahaha. Do agree with abstaining but my intelligence was slightly insulted!

MerkinI went through the same stresses with my new job. I was so worried I?d get pregnant in the first month of being there. Now 4 months later?I really don?t give a damn! Although because I?ve gone from one NHS job to another so the maternity pay is fine ?not that I?ll need it--Congratulations!!!

Tallyra · 18/04/2013 20:51

why Monday bunny? it's not Friday yet...?

Bunnygirlie · 18/04/2013 20:35

Is it wrong that I am now singing mooncup.com in my head?!?!?

Balls, I forgot to call docs today for day20 blood test results, will have to wait till Monday now doh!
