tally hope your ferret feels better soon!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine if they're not working. What's everyone up to?

Had an interesting day so far. Have randomly signed up to a beginners crochet course! Anyone else crochet?

Also just had my hair cut and strangely the guy who I've never met before asked me if I'd been pregnant recently when looking at my hair. I said I'd had a mc in Dec (not that I go around saying that to everyone!) how odd is that?!

BlindKitty · 20/04/2013 14:57

peanut Yay to kittens!!! I?d love another cat but I?d worry it would boss her about being blind!

Tally ah sounds rubbish but then, lets see what the doc says.

bajas sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he gets better soon x

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 13:41

Yeah, think that one's fine happy, it's a penicillin and they're fine in pregnancy as long as you're not allergic. Ooh not heard that they can help, wonder why that would be...

happylass · 20/04/2013 13:31

Thanks Peanut. I'm sure it's fine, I'm just being paranoid cautious. They are called Flucloxacillin? Have done some Googling and seems to be ok. Even read somewhere that antibiotics may help with TTC. Will let you know in a few weeks ha!

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 13:18

I meant Hmm when I said [skeptical]... Cannot follow simple instructions.

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 12:48

Happy which antibiotics are they? Most of them are fine, I dole out loads of antibiotics to pregnant women Smile

Bajas, Barking, sorry to hear about your dads.

Thunderpants hope you survive the day. My suggestion: gin.

Tally hope your ferret is ok (this sounds like innuendo...it's not. Honest)

Bunny and Frog, sending you a solidarity sigh at the general uselessness of menfolk. They're only good for their sperm and round here they're not even good for that [skeptical]

Feeling good today, got up early, had avocado and pineapple smoothie, did 5k parkrun in the sunshine and now awaiting a probably burnt roast lunch cooked by t'other half. Shame it's all going to be spoilt by having to go to work at 3 Sad

Tallyra · 20/04/2013 12:40

and u send you all hugs back, especially bajas and anyone whose dad is not well. Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

Tallyra · 20/04/2013 12:39

never heard anything about abs being bad didn't ttc!!! Shock

thank you everyone for my hugs. I'm about to have a very busy afternoon. got to take the ferret to the vet as he's been projectile vomiting and then going to a birthday BBQ of friend who has 4 month old baby. she was an instadiffer so ill have a bit of a heartache when I got home I think. I really hope the fuzzy is ok though. we lost 2 of his brothers in the last yeT and a half and only have 3 left and they're only young still.

happylass · 20/04/2013 12:02

Sorry to hear your dads are poorly Barking and Bajas
Quick question berries - went to the GP earlier and have an cyst in my boob which may be infected. Doc gave me 2 weeks worth of Penicillin and said it was fine to take whilst TTC. Anyone know if this is right? Am a bit Hmm of the NHS! Shag week is fast approaching and don't want to waste a month unless antibiotics would be dangerous!

Trying123 · 20/04/2013 11:22

Have good day in the sun berries! off to work Envy

Thundercatsarego · 20/04/2013 10:49

Cake me frog too!

Cate555 · 20/04/2013 10:30

Sorry Barking I caked you Frog earlier

Bunnygirlie · 20/04/2013 10:05

Bit grumpy this morning, DH rolled in at 1ish drunk as a skunk, of course he goes straight off to sleep and I lie there fuming that he's woken me up and is full of booze, shouldn't he be cutting down! He is at the rugby today so he'll be drinking all day aswell grrrrrrrrr

trying I really recommend reflexology, it's helping my IBS and regulating my periods, if only we could time the DTD right Confused

Morning! (she says, bringing bacon sandwiches to the pity sofa) tally sending much hugs, bajas wishes for speedy recovery for your dad. Really hope he is ok. My dad has had 3 strokes and thankfully made nearly full recovery and is still working, but each time the first few days are filled with so much worry. Like you barking this is one of. The reasons i want my body to hurry up and sort itself out
Also thinking about reflexology maybe. Had Reiki ages years ago(one off at a festival) without even laying hands on she said shecould feel some sort of blockage and asked wham my last af was- i had not had one months after coming off depot- she spent quite a bit of time hovering her hands above my abdo and lower back. Later that eve af arrived! Not great timing for the festival, but the whole experience was quite lovely.

yorkiebilb · 20/04/2013 09:55

Hey thunder hope today isn't too hideous for you.

Thundercatsarego · 20/04/2013 09:53

Hi everyone.

Just a brief one before I face the baby hell day.

Just to say sorry for poorly dads- that is really sad and totally understandable that you want to get pg, I feel the same- some of wanting a baby is about my whole family, not just me and DH.

peanut you have my total respect for talking to your friend. I am a total wus when it comes to confrontation and if I have to do it often do it in writing to avoid the awkward face to face bit.

I remember the conversations about the 'cervical dip'. Tbh there's enough pressure and difficulty dtd enough let alone having to worry about that too!

I'm finding the acu conversations fascinating and love the idea of a hot lamp in my belly. Anyone get squeamish about the needles?

Right better get going- I've got a short time to try and make myself look presentable. is the expression polishing a turd?

yorkiebilb · 20/04/2013 09:48

cate barking sorry to hear about your dads too.

cate I'm scared of needles and was v wary but it was absolutely fine and not painful in the slightest.

yorkiebilb · 20/04/2013 09:43

bajas really sorry to hear about you Dad but good to hear he's starting to improve.

Thanks berries for being so nice to me last night. Slept well for once and DH has started researching ways he can help more e.g cutting down alcohol etc. so that has to be a good thing.

frog that's why I decided to do acu. I thought if it can help me relax more it has to be worth it.

tally I didn't know acu can make you emotional - may explain my meltdown yesterday I guess! Sorry to read about your traumas around ttc and waiting for your app. Hope the time goes quicker for you.

Bunnygirlie · 20/04/2013 09:40

Oh bajas and barking how awful that your dads are poorly :-(

I want to get pg soon as I still have to Granny's around and would love them to have a great-grandchild!

Cate555 · 20/04/2013 09:36

Bajas sorry to hear about your dad I wish him a speedy recovery.

Frog I know exactly what you mean my dad is in hospital at the minute, everyone in our very large extended family adores him & I know if I ever do have a baby it won't get to grow up knowing him.

Anyway loving to sound of Reflexology and accu I'm going to look where my nearest are. I take it the needles going in are not painful?? I'm a bit of a scardy cat with needles Blush might try Reflex first.

barkingtreefrog · 20/04/2013 07:41

So sorry to hear about your dad Bajas, hope he's doing even better when you see him Thanks
I totally understand why it makes you want to get pg even sooner as my Dad has Parkinsons and has gone downhill lots since we started ttc. I've always adored my Dad and he was a very hands on father so it breaks my heart to think that by the time I have a baby he probably won't be able to pick it up and hold it Sad .

Pipbin · 20/04/2013 07:40

Yorkie. DH showed me that. We decided that it was the pinnacle of human achievement and everything else afterwards might as we not bother.

Bajas · 20/04/2013 07:19

tally that sounds so hard. I can see why they're telling you to wait- mist be hard though when all you want is to be pregnant.

I've had a tough week. My dad had a stroke and is in hospital. Starting to improve. Leaving for the 5 hour journey now to see him. Before that dh's excema was really bad so haven't dtd this week and have had a 1 degree temp rise this morning so another month wasted. Knowing my dad isn't well makes me want to be pg even more as I want him to know his future grandchild. Pretty miserable all round but hopefully getting to see him will cheer both him and me up.

Tallyra · 20/04/2013 01:18

I have heard that acu can make you quite emotional after the first session. I've had basic acu on my neck and shoulder for other problems, but I don't know who to go to for this, and couldn't afford it even if I found out. which reminds me, I need to try and book another session cos I can hardly move my shoulder

Kitty I'm not even sure what we're doing at the moment. doctor suggested not trying until the appointment, which makes sense because I don't really want to go through another mc. I had (and almost certainly will have again) hyperemesis which meant being hospitalised for fluids each time and I never got further than 9w, so I REALLY don't want that to happen again if there's any remote chance it could be prevented from mc. There's not really any hope of not being sick though Sad
However, Our first one was in 2009 so I'm getting pretty pissed off with it all and also pretty desperate. Everyone else that I am aware of having trouble have now managed to get duffed and I'm left sitting here, over 4 years later when some friends babies are practically old enough to start school, and they are the ones that got there after I did.

Bunnygirlie · 20/04/2013 00:00

Hey frog not tried acu but reflexology is another of those things that I thought was a load of baloney lol started in December and it's regulated my cycles to 28/29 days, never liked people touching my feet but it is very relaxing and seems to help my IBS too!
