TTC after MC - nice people in crap times, full of posifrickingtivity

Thanks for replying birds. Actually made a mistake in my post, meant to say I had a faint BFP on the 23rd not the 16th - three days before the BFN at GP.

Yes it's extremely confusing and horrid. I just want to know what's what, one way or another, so I can get on with my life.

Guff - we had our ERPCs on the same day and my period has just left the building so we're pretty much in sync!

We're going to start the shagathon over the weekend, although since the MC and putting in nearly a stone I'm not feeling particularly 'enthusiastic' or in the mood!!!

In other news, I did a ladies charity pamper event today (I'm a beauty and skin therapist) for mums of children with cancer. Very humbling to say the least....puts a LOT of things into perspective. X

Hmm. I'm not sure, am definitely not an expert in these things, but don't want to leave you without an answer! I guess it depends how sensitive the gp's test was compared to your home tests on 16 April and today. Is it possible that your tests are detecting hormones that your gp's test didn't pick up? Have you called your gp to ask? Maybe try a digi test in a week's time to see how pregnant it says you are...Anyone else got any good suggestions? Poor you, this sounds a very confusing and weird experience to be going through if you started mc'ing before you realised you were pregnant. {hug} the uncertainty is horrible Isn't it? X

Hi lovely ladies. I've been following this thread for a while and you all sound so strong and lovely, it saddens me so much what you're all going through, it really isn't fair.

I'm not sure if anyone can help me or not but I'm driving myself crazy so I'll ask anyway.

I started MC on the 13th April. Before this I didn't even know I was pregnant. POAS on the 16th (faint BFP). The bleeding stopped on the 26th April. I had a doctors app the same day, she did a PG test that she said was BFN. I presumed the MC was complete. DH and I started having sex again (Sun 28th & Mon 29th). Bleeding started again yesterday . POAS tonight and got a faint line, same strength as on the 16th.

I'm really confused because if the current BFP is just because of the HCG from the miscarriage then why did I get BFN at the GP and wouldn't the levels have dropped somewhat since I POAS on the 16th?? Surely I cannot actually be PG already?

rock mine was 28th March, I bled for 3 weeks, had less than 2 weeks off and now have a really heavy AF. Quite fed up of all the blood!!

Hello all - sorry to those with unwanted AF's, hurrah to those who have been awaiting them. I feel like I'm going to be waiting a long time to TTC again. However - I have a weird feeling that I've ovulated already, had weird stabby pains in lower right abdomen, and just felt, well, ovulatey.

Congrats BFPs! Lets have more of those tomorrow then!

thunder great that your bloods have come down - sounds like it's all going in the right direction.

Am not poas-ing tomorrow...too early for me I think. 10 may is going to be the earliest I test, I've decided - even though really I know chances are very slim. Dtd completely haphazardly this month.

But fingers crossed for any who are poas-ing bright and early!

I didn't say last week, as I am that scared that it wouldn't stick - still am. I hope some more bfps come tomorrow and we can get some positivity from it. It's such a scary time of just agonising waiting. Am so pleased but now worried about falling from higher height if it happens again.

Anyway, saggy rubbish AF - maybe cycle will be back on track from here?

I didn't have an ERPC. I miscarried at the beginning of February naturally. I've had 2 AFs since but they were quite small. I was worried they weren't quite right deep down, so hopefully this big clear out will put me back on track.

Saggy and Guff when did you both have ERPC? Mine was 10th April, didn't bleed until a week later and it only stopped 5 days ago so no idea when to expect mine! We are back to TTC (well, not trying to prevent at least) so there's a little part of me that's hoping I get pregnant and AF never rears her ugly head :)

I'm also having an awful post ERPC period, really hope it's a big clear out too leaving a lovely extra fertile uterus

I, on the other hand am having the AF from hell now! this had better be my post MC clear out, before the final push to a BFP!

thunder that's really great news from your bloods. That sounds to me like a fabulous drop in just 6 weeks, and you're not far now from where you need to be. Wonderful.

Katerina congratulations! Come to the grads thread. I decided this time round there is no point waiting. Won't be joining a January bus, but the grads from here will all have been equally anxious. They have a mantra "today I am pregnant" because taking it one day at a time is all you can do.

Geelong everyone I can't keep up with this thread! I hope you are all ok today. I had some good news last fri - a bfp. I have been too scared to tell anyone - even you lot - as I think I will jinx it. But I thought well if it happens again you will know anyway and also I hope it might be a nice bit of posifrickingtivity too. Lets hope it stays. An now scared to death and constantly checking my pants! I do have some symptoms which reassures me a little but otherwise ill be hovering here for a good while yet! Oh poor you- that's not on making you wait all that time. Good that you've got yourself some meds and a scan booked but yes you are going to have to think up some seriously distracting things! One day at a time

Ok thanks. Was a bit stressed yesterday and Tuesday as spent all day waiting for doctors to phone me back, and my sense of urgency is obv a lot greater than theirs. All sorted now and on aspirin, high dose folic acid and progesterone, so all I can do is wait. I have a scan booked in 3 weeks. Just need lots of things to occupy myself until then!

They haven't tweaked it at all yet. I'm speaking to the doc tomorrow and I expect she'll up it just a little bit. Guess this means I'm still out of the running for at least this month but trying to think positive.

That's good, thunder. Did they tweak your dose again?

And just to update, the bloods (tsh) are down to 4.23. So not quite below 2 where I'm heading but they've come down from 15.3 six weeks ago.... I'm going in the right direction!
