Welcome aboard ladies (though obviously sorry you have to be here). We're a friendly bunch so come in and plump up a cushion for POAS Fridays and lots of posifrickingtivity. With a few (gentle) fish slaps thrown in for good measure.

Boo to bfn. Year of the horse does sound much better.

Also boo to stupid questions. I've had a few of them recently. I know they're asked in all harmlessness, and I know I've prob definitely asked similar questions back in my naive days, but it just cuts straight to the core doesn't it.

I'm brighter today. Have a lovely weekend ahead catching up with friends which I'm really looking forward to. I think we're going to go with the plan of not trying for a bit, but with odd 'careless' moments so we don't feel out of the running completely. Had lovely condom involved sex last night which was oddly a bit of a relief. I suppose its a sense that its just about us that way if you know what I mean. plus I'm fairly certain I'm not ovulating anyway

OneLittleToddleTerror · 19/04/2013 08:55

I am definitely in for a 2014 baby.

Earlier today I bled so heavily I was stuck on the toilet with blood dripping off. I wasn't expecting it to be so bad as my last mc was like a heavy period only. I rang the EPAU and they said I should go to a&e. I called DH and he has came back to take DD to nursery. He thinks we should go to a&e too. But I don't know what they can do that the EPU can't.

Mummytothearkbuilder · 19/04/2013 08:42

Sorry about the BFN

Kat - I constantly get asked when we are having another especially as DS is 4 now. People say things like 'wouldn't it be nice for him to have a brother or sister' or 'you better get a move on you turn 30 next year' - I used to just smile at them and say nothing however sometimes it hacks me off so much I end up saying 'well we are trying but I had a mscarriage in feb' - that soon shuts them up!!

I agree ladies - 2014 will be a cracking year to have a baby!!! Xx

alyant79 · 19/04/2013 08:41

Oh boo to bfns, but YAY to non-pregnant fun and getting blood levels sorted. And hooray to 2014 babies. It sounds like a lucky year. It will be the year of the horse in the chinese zodiac, which sounds more appealing than the year of the snake, which is was it currently is.

thunder I hope you can sort out a good plan with the Dr later.

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 08:21

Yeah we're all going to nail 2014 aren't we?

Yeah I'm fine thanks tins, and repeating mantra that's it's not a bfp I'm after, it's a healthy baby. And I know that I need a bit more time to achieve that. I hate the waiting but for today it's just good to know either way. Speaking to my doc later so will make next blood review plan.

kat Sad Angry to those kinds of question.

katerinaemalina · 19/04/2013 08:03

Boo sorry both. Hmm At least it's Friday. Really good idea to test on Fridays as there is nowt worse than bfn on a Monday. Trying to throw some positivity your way starfish as you are all stars Smile
Meh though. This malarky can drive you to madness can't it? I also need to remove feeds containing babies. Also lying v low with friends as just don't want to be around preg people or people asking me nosily when ill be having one grrr

Bakingtins · 19/04/2013 07:56

Boo to BFNs. 2014 sounds like a great year to have a baby. How are you both feeling?

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 07:49

Bfn here too.

Feel a bit relieved in a way as would be an extra spadeful of worry getting pg before my levels are sorted out.

One day...?!

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 07:08

Hey santa sorry about the bfn. You were terrified of either result how are you doing?

WillSantaComeAgain · 19/04/2013 06:46

BFN- so thats bye bye to a 2013 baby and hello another month of carefree non-pregnant fun

jmf294 · 19/04/2013 06:24

Good luck to all those POAS today xxx

fod27 · 18/04/2013 20:26

I feel the same! I want to shout and scream at them...especially as they are 17 and can't care for themselves....nearly bollocked her for something unrelated just because I wanted to be spiteful!....shitty shittty world!

I'm due AF in ten days and now im counting down the days so I can test again....this is mental torture grrrrr

Thundercatsarego · 18/04/2013 17:44

Hi cam sorry about your docs visit- not good. If I were you I'd not try not to ttc but just take the pressure off iyswim? Do you know when you'll get those other tests done? Hope referral comes through quickly.

santa I'm chickening out again. I'll be 13 or 14dpo tomorrow so af should be due tomorrow or sat.

alyant79 · 18/04/2013 16:06

Chin up cam. it's rare for doc to be less positive than Dr google, which means there must be loads of good stories out there, and soon you can be one of them :)
i reckon you should ttc, but not actively. ie have lots of sex if you feel like it, but don't go crazy. easier said than done

don't worry about the me me me, how could you ever get posifrickentivity vibes otherwise??

fod totally with you. wandering around town for lunch today I had a random bump accidentally shoved in my face. Nearly punched the poor woman. So not her fault. i'm such a bitch

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 18/04/2013 14:41

Sorry, just reflected on my very me me me post. I'm at work so not able to catch up on how everyone is till I get home later but hope people are generally doing well.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 18/04/2013 14:20

I mean TTC till after we find out the results of tests, not ever. Not that negative!

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 18/04/2013 14:19

Hello folks.

Long time no speak. I've not been on here for a little while as off trying to distract myself from the whole process. However today I went to the gp to find out more about this bicornuate uterus thing I had diagnosed at the scan that uncovered the mmc. Being referred to gyaenecology for further tests to ascertain how problematic its going to be for carrying a little'un. GP made me worry more than Dr Google did (which is quite unusual!) by saying most women with this problem have a significant difficulty carrying a child to term. Sigh. Feel a little despondent and not really sure whether to TTC now or not. Did last month (bfn), haven't this month (though we're careless once so will still no doubt poas next Fri praying for a miracle).

Need a posifrickintivity slap pls.

Mummytothearkbuilder · 18/04/2013 13:46

Fod I'm with you hun - there seems to be scan pictures all over Facebook at the moment - there were 2 on my news feed yesterday!! If one of my friends comments on one of their friends pics I see it - even if I'm not friends with them so there is literally no getting away from them :-( x

Thunder and Santa - good luck for tomorrow - fingers crossed for some more BFPs x

OneLittleToddleTerror · 18/04/2013 13:07

No fod that's why I hate fb too. I get so many newborns, scan pictures and bumps on my feed, it's not funny.

fod27 · 18/04/2013 13:00

Sometimes I hate my job! Today I managed to encounter one student flaunting her newborn about in the canteen and another thrust her 12 week scan picture under my nose! I couldn't be pleased for her I just couldn't find it in me...am I a bad person?!

Thundercatsarego · 18/04/2013 12:54

Ok let's do it santa! It will be good to know either way and there are positives in not getting a bfp this month while my body settles down so no pity if it's a bfn please!

WillSantaComeAgain · 18/04/2013 12:52

I'll be there with you thunder (not literally, obviously, though if you really want to, you can pop round at 6am tomorrow and watch me fumble and get wee everywhere) (you'd think after all this effort I would have learnt HOW to POAS by now!!) How many DPO are you? I'm terrified of either result, to be honest.

OLTT - another one with a stupid body here. And I put on loads of weight round the middle even though there was nothing there. (The only bonus was, that within 3 weeks of ERPC I had lost at least an inch round the waist despite stuffing my face with red wine, blue cheese and copious amounts of ice cream during the recovery period.)

alyant79 · 18/04/2013 12:19

POAS thunder, POAS! You can do it.

Thundercatsarego · 18/04/2013 11:16

I am 30 according to the test (am 34 really)- must be slower than you gals!

Hi OLTT and welcome. Sorry you're here and going through such a shitty time. I had a mmc and my body clearly didn't have a clue it hadn't worked out. Plonker.

So who is poas tomorrow? I could but it's v unlikely I'll get a bfp. And then if I did I'd be really scared. So maybe I'll hide from it all and wait it out. Brave, me.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 18/04/2013 09:25

I think I'll stick to the theory we are just fantastically agile Grin.
