Welcome aboard ladies (though obviously sorry you have to be here). We're a friendly bunch so come in and plump up a cushion for POAS Fridays and lots of posifrickingtivity. With a few (gentle) fish slaps thrown in for good measure.

Hi Emki, I'm not too bad now thank you. Just mega aware of the enormous amount of pregnant women and babies everywhere!

If you don't mind me asking, how did your cycles return after your loss? When did you get a period? Xx

Emki · 19/04/2013 20:32

ldt87 sorry you are here and hope you get some posifrickingtivity from the ladies here!

i had a mmc 8 weeks ago. Hope you are ok xx

ldt87 · 19/04/2013 20:25

Hey everyone, been away a bit, not really had anything positive to contribute for a few days.
I have got my ovulation tests today so need to get my head around them and wait for my period. We have been having regular sex, but I don't expect to fall pregnant that quickly. It took us ages the first time.

It's 3 weeks on Sunday that my miscarriage started. Not sure when to expect a period. I have seen people say count cycle day one as first day of proper bleeding, which was the Monday so I would be at day 18 at the moment.

I got a negative test by the Friday after my bleeding started. Not even a full week.

Hope everyone is good and if anyone has had good news then congratulations xx

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 20:20

I've got fairly painful cramping, if I didn't know better I would think I was coming on my period. It's almost putting me off DTD but there is no way DH would let me he's determined I'm getting pregnant this cycle.

emko wow that's a long cycle, I can see why you would get so fed up waiting.

Emki · 19/04/2013 19:44

I must proof read! Hope you can work out what I meant!

Emki · 19/04/2013 19:42

fod27 · 19/04/2013 19:27

Help me I've started symptom spotting already....nasty spots on chin, lots of thick discharge (tni I know) and cramping ....eeeeekkkk

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 19/04/2013 19:24

Thanks Chocolate. Im trying really hard not to get my hopes up. I keep telling myself not to get excited. It was only a watermark. I have EVERYTHING crossed!

fod27 · 19/04/2013 18:20

Hi folks olt you need to get yourself to A n E it's imperative your safe and looked after, hope your ok it's a horrible experience...very emotional too as it marked the end for me and a moment of realisation ( hope that makes sense)

LB yayyyyyyyy so so so pleased for you

Thunder so pleased that your feeling and being treated better...hope you find yourself feeling posifrickintive now cxxx

Can't join in on the testin as I'm hoping my next test will be a pregnancy test...cross your fingers for sticky beans
I know what you mean about all the questions, my colleagues keep asking if we are trying again but I'm afraid to answer, partly because I'm a proportional lecturer with a zero hour contract and that they are trying to establish the likelyhood of maternity leave (or an excuse to get rid of me if we are TTC) and partly due to the pressure just wish I didn't show so soon or blew up to the size of a elephant so that I could keep it under wraps til at least 20weeks

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 19/04/2013 18:17

Hmmm Saggy - I had a "is it a watermark, is it a line" squinty thing 2 Friday's ago - which was early for me too. So will be keeping my fingers crossed for you

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 19/04/2013 17:54

I've been feeling incredibly sick. Slight achy boobage. Emotionally all over the place. No cramps, no pre AF spotting. Even if I'm not pg, at least I'm feeling Something this month. Which means my hormones are doing something!

katerinaemalina · 19/04/2013 16:14

LB love your weekly emoticons. I feel exactly the same. I'm convinced my boobs are a bit sore from all the poking I keep doing to them

Bonkers time. I wonder if our OHs have a thread where they chat about wtf their rational OH has gone?!

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 15:41

alyant don't beat yourself up it's so hard when to predict when to DTD. We've been DTD since Satarday going to have to do tonight and tomorrow too. But the has cerainy been cycles were we did it at totally the wrong time.

saggy the 2ww is dreadful I just want to know BFP or AF so I can get onto the next cycle.
I've noticed I have a emotional cycle as well as the physically
week 1 Sad no BFP convinced I'll never get pregant again.
Week2 Smile slightly more positive but realistic, fine with the BFP.
Week 3 Grin excited while we DTD convinced this cycle with be IT.
Week4 Confused start imagining pregancy symptoms worrying it hasn't worked.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 19/04/2013 14:16

I'm being a bit 2ww obsessive ATM as well. I can't decide if I am imagining certain symptoms, and I did POAS this morning, but think I was looking so hard I could see the watermark on the test. AF due in 4 days, so that's 4 more days of obsession then I can relax!

alyant79 · 19/04/2013 14:05

OLTT I hope you're sorted now. It's a horrible time.

tins. what stage of the cycle are you?

LB yay for ovulation, Sad for approaching EDD Flowers

I'm going out to dinner tonight with 3 pg friends, one of whom has the same EDD that I had. We were preggo buddies together Sad I'm going to have to drink LOTS of wine. And then go home and shag DH senseless because I think I might have messed up my dates. Still a bit of EWCM today and we haven't DTD since tue. Hmm Should have tried harder wed night instead of crying.

Bakingtins · 19/04/2013 13:43

OLTT hope you did go to A+E and have been either reassured or sorted out. I had major bleeding with first MC because tissue got stuck in cervix which meant uterus couldn't contract down and attachement site just kept bleeding. Once it was removed it settled down straight away but I did need fluids. Better to be safe if it is worrying.

LB hope Noah's EDD passes peacefully. I found after first MC once I was past the first EDD the feelings got much less intense, it was like I'd accepted I wasn't going to have a baby before I could accept the loss of the pregnancy, if that makes any sense. I do still sometimes think about how old she would have been now, but I think in terms of moving on it's a good date to have got beyond.

thunder good news that your doctor is a bit more proactive now. HOpe you can make some minor adjustments and be all set to go for next month and a Jan 2014 baby.

I'm driving myself 2WW mad even though the consultant told me I wasn't likely to ovulate this month. DTD around the appropriate time anyway, and today have lots of blood tinged CM, and I'm going "implantation, implantation" when no doubt it's just WTF cycle weirdness. Somebody slap me with a big fish, I need to get a grip.

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 13:19

thunder I feel a bit strange about the EDD I have no idea how I will feel on the day. Last week I had a few tearful days but since then I've been fine cheerful even. Not sure if I should book the day off work,it's likely we will visit the cemetery anyway. Never mind what to expect when your expecting I need a what to expect when you've MC.

On the whole I'm looking forward to moving past the EDD then I feel like I can really move on put the pregancy behind me. I will always live with the fact I have a dead baby but I can at least put the actual pregancy behind me.

Thundercatsarego · 19/04/2013 12:56

santa we are sad and relieved together. How do you feel about next month? I had a good chat with the doc who seems to suddenly be treating me as a patient rather than just the numbers- hooray! So I can go back in a week and a half for another check and we may make a small adjustment to my meds then. She even mentioned TTC this time without me having to say anything. God knows what my notes must look like.

OLT I hope you are in/have been to a&e by now. And I hope you're ok duck.

cam I'm pleased you're feeling brighter- sounds like the weight is off your shoulders a little bit- good!

saggy and little Sad that you feel your lost babies are forgotten by others. My friends and family are the same but I have to say I don't really mind. I explained to DH that the EDD fast approaching feels weird and sad but I don't share that any more widely really.

Still loving the idea of all those ponies saggy, I wish we lived a bit closer cos I'd be round like a shot with a handful of carrots.

I'm off to a christening this weekend. Hmmmmmm! Nah it's alright really, I'll go and make the right noises think to myself that my baby will be much better than theirs and then slope off down the pub.

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 12:53

Oops Grin I did actually mean 2014 babies not actually having to wait till then to get knocked up during 2014.
Gad I hope I get a break from all the shagging in 2014 we don't have the stamina to keep it that long! Grin

WillSantaComeAgain · 19/04/2013 10:16

Sorry, missed the last page so massive cross post! littlebairn - hoping to get knocked up before 2014!! But here's to 2014 babies Grin

I'd go to A&E too, OLTT. Just to be safe.

OP posts:
WillSantaComeAgain · 19/04/2013 10:08

Sad and relieved. Did you POAS in the end?

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 09:54

Year of the horse eh...must be all that time were spending with our stallions. Wink

saggy Its so shit when family ignores it because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Everyone I know (except DH ) never mention Noah its like well 4 whole months are past what's the matter now?! Angry
DH did point out its partly to do with other people having never met the babies we lose to them until a family/friend mets the baby and holds them tHey aren't really a part of their lives they are just an idea.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 19/04/2013 09:46

Year of the Horse eh? Well that has to be my year! Horses are my animal, I have 5 and a half!
I sometimes wish people in my family would harp on about babies. mad as that sounds! they all seem to think that the MC was an anomaly, and that I shouldn't want anymore because I'm old and have teenagers! Not one of them ever says anything about trying again or even mentions
the baby at all. I sometimes feel that all of the lovely positivity they showed at the time was just false.
If it wasn't for my lovely special friends it would almost be like the baby didn't exist. Sad
I'm really sorry for the BFNs, but I suppose we can all draw a line now and have a fresh start now. End of one year start of another.
Galloping into 2014 with Posifrickintivity! Smile

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 09:33

Omg finally I've got ovulation sign on the CBFM! I take all the moaning back about it. Grin
It's also possibily explains why it's taken so long for a BFP, im on day 17 we have usually stopped/taken a break from TTC by day 16 since I was convinced I Ovulated early and that's the info I got from OPK when I tried them.

Sorry about all the BFN. Here is to us all getting knocked up in 2014.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 19/04/2013 09:03

OLTT. I would go to a&e just to be on the safe side personally. You poor thing. Hope you're as ok as you can be. X
