Welcome aboard ladies (though obviously sorry you have to be here). We're a friendly bunch so come in and plump up a cushion for POAS Fridays and lots of posifrickingtivity. With a few (gentle) fish slaps thrown in for good measure.

OLTT that sounds v similar to what happened to me with first MC and it was v frightening. Hope you are coping ok. Please take some time off to recover even if you tell them you've got D&V or something.
Jbrd hope you got some sleep and are being looked after. Roses are tough, they'll be fine, people not so much and need some cosetting!
Essex congratulations on your new baby and thanks for posting, we need some encouragement to keep the faith at the moment.

EssexWelsh · 21/04/2013 06:15

Just saw this thread and wanted to post some posifrickitivity...I am lying in bed next to my beautiful 2 week old who was born a year to the day that I started to suffer my last miscarriage. I still cried some tears for my lost baby when I realised the date the day after labour, did get caught up on the actual day. So just to say it is possible and you will still be sad for lost babies but you will eventually get to hold your LO in your arms. I was discussing this with a friend (currently pregnant after suffering a missed miscarriage in August!) and we genuinely feel quite lucky to have suffered a loss as it really makes you appreciate the pregnancy and all the rubbish symptoms that go with it and without a loss you may just take it for granted, so definitely take some positivity in that, every day of your pregnancy it does make you more worried you will lose again of course but you will also cherish every day and every time you're sick as you know this time it is working!!

Best of luck to you all and happy 'trying' Grin

OneLittle That sounds horrific, hope you are OK now! Look after yourself, please tell me that you're not going to work next week!

Rock When I had my ERPC back in January, I didn't bleed at all afterwards, but then suddenly started again about a week afterwards. So it's still possible that yours is a delayed reaction.

Saggy Oooh, that sounds promising! How long are your going to resist poas?

So, after not being able to get out of bed this morning because of the horrendous pain, everything was fine again in the afternoon. Spent some very satisfactory hours hacking away at our overgrown rosebushes, very therapeutic, but not sure they will recover Shock
But then, very unexpectedly, I passed what only can have been the embryonic sac earlier this evening (yes, I fished it out the toilet and examined it - I had to know!). And although I'm feeling sad, I'm so so relieved that at least the waiting for this is now over! I had been so worried that I'd have to wait weeks and weeks, like last time, and then still have the medical or surgical procedure. But now I at least know what stage I'm at with the physical process, which really helps (it was like that last time, too). So, hopefully, I can start drawing a line now and relax a bit.

LittleBairn · 21/04/2013 00:05

saggy I'm crossing everything for you too, sounds like you have good reason to be hopeful.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 20/04/2013 23:33

I feel sick as a parrot right now! There is no justice in this world if this isn't MS! I'm also getting prickly boobage and my ovaries ache! Confused AF due Tuesday. I'm not going to be happy if she shows up!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 20/04/2013 23:28

God, One, that sounds terrifying! {{hug}}

MrsExcited · 20/04/2013 23:22

Hugs to those with bfn's, 2014 sounds a great time to have a baby.

My positivfricking is if we get going next month, we will be at heavyset stage of pregnancy in cold winter so not to hot, and when we are starting to emerge from panic of newborn it will be spring!!!

I poas'd yesterday and bfn but as AF hasn't shown up yet since ERPC will carry on on a Friday till it does!! (I have lots of sticks:))

It sounds like there are some scary mc's going on out there - hope everyone comes through physically ok, so they can start to pick up the pieces.

LittleBairn · 20/04/2013 21:40

one (hug) that sounds like an awful experience.
I had a hemorage too it's a frightening experience, you may feel a bit shaky about it all for awhile be gentle with yourself.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 20/04/2013 19:48

rock I'm inclined to believe it is delayed reaction too. Otherwise isn't it stranger to have ovulated and than an AF in such a short period of time?

guff good luck on starting to ttc again. I might wait for a real AF to return, but maybe I couldn't wait that lomg!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 20/04/2013 19:42

Evening. DH dragged me to A&E after he took DD to nursery. We had a little incident in the hospital car park where an idiot told us off for parking our car where we parked it. We saw the car park through another row of cars. He was parked a long way off in the row where the space was, but obviously oblivious to the space available. Maybe some other nicer people would have gone out of their car and tell him there is a space available further ahead?

Anyway luckily we didnt, because just after I left the car, I could feel a whole gush of blood came out, and my leggings were soaked through! I touched my bum and I could see blood on my hands. If we had given up our park, I would have soaked my car seat. At A&E we were seen by the triage nurse immediately and then got put straight through. I guess having a blood stained bum helped you get noticed in A&E. (I was left waiting for 4-5 hours with my last mc and that was why I was reluctant to go). Long story short, the tried to clear my cervix twice but the bleeding didn't stop. So I ended up with in ERPC in theatre in the evening and stayed overnight.

I'm all ok now except having to take iron tablets for two weeks. I'm glad it's all over.

fod I know what you mean by not wanting to tell work. I am on a permanent contract but even that I just told work I was sick yesterday. I didn't tell them it's a mc. I took annual leave for all my scans and appointments. If they know I'm ttc, I'm sure they will think I will be off to maternity anytime soon. I hope they are right but we know things aren't that easy. It will take away any chance I have for promotion or pay rise if they think I'm going to take a year off anytime soon.

jbrd I'm so sorry you didn't get a happy ending this time. Maybe 2014 will be our lucky year. And yes, year of the horse is a lot better than year of the snake isn't it?

Rockchick1984 · 20/04/2013 16:33

Didn't think of that Blush I presumed it would be about a month until AF arrived! Did a pregnancy test this morning and it was the faintest line ever so think I can safely say I'm back to negative on them - have been testing every couple of days. Was strangely very upsetting to see, obviously I knew it would be happening but felt horrible to see.

Good luck with DTD Guff!

GuffSmuggler · 20/04/2013 13:24

Hi rock it was over 3 weeks ago, I bled for ages so annoying Angry

It might be your AF you never know? 10 days seems a long time for a delayed reaction to the ERPC!

Rockchick1984 · 20/04/2013 12:22

So sorry Jbrd

Guff how long ago did you have your ERPC? Mine was 10 days ago, didn't bleed after so we tried DTD after 5 days but it hurt Sad I think I was just tense as I was nervous, so the following night I had a bottle glass of wine and it was fine, not painful but I got quite emotional afterwards.

Typically I've now started bleeding. It was quite heavy last night and this morning, but have rang the hospital and they said probably just my body decided to have a delayed reaction Confused as there is no funny smell so hoping desperately I've not got an infection!

GuffSmuggler · 20/04/2013 11:42

Hi all,

Sorry to see you here jbrd, I haven't been here long but as lovely as these ladies are it must be awful to return Sad I hope you can get through the physical side asap, I'm so sorry.

Sorry also for the BFNs but glad to see such positive attitudes here. There seem to be quite a few in the tortuous waiting zone so let's hope for some BFPs soon!

Right, I've FINALLY had a couple of clear days with no bleeding since the ERPC so I might dare to DTD this weekend I guess that's a good place to start on a TTC thread Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 20/04/2013 11:00

JBrd I'm so sorry. That is absolutely fucking shite! {{hug}}

Thundercatsarego · 20/04/2013 09:44

Hi everybody.

jbrd I am so sorry. Absolutely gutted for you. There just aren't words to describe how unfair it is. A big hug for you- take the drugs and then do whatever you can to be kind to yourself.

alyant79 · 20/04/2013 09:40

JBrd I'm so sorry Flowers
Nature is so cruel sometimes

Mummytothearkbuilder · 20/04/2013 08:33

Jbird - I am so sorry hun - bakins is right, once is awful but multiple times must be just truly deveatating. I hope you are getting lots of love, care and support xxx

Fod - re the cramping - I ovulated this week and also got some quite strong cramping but have read that ovulation pain can be quite strong - fingers crossed!! Xx

LittleBairn · 20/04/2013 08:19

JBrd I'm so sorry that truly is shit.

Bakingtins · 20/04/2013 08:00

Jbrd I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so shit that anyone should have to go through this even once, but multiple times is so cruel. Hope you are getting lots of hugs. Sad

JBrd · 20/04/2013 07:51

Good morning, ladies, may I re-join you?
It wasn't meant to be - like last time, I made to almost 8 weeks, but then started spotting and bleeding. A scan on Thursday found no heartbeat Hmm

And now I'm doubled over with the most horrific back pain and stomach cramps, just took some paracetamol. Hoping that it will all be over soon.

This is my second mc in 4 months. Life is just sh** sometimes.

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 20/04/2013 00:06

Ooh littleBairn - is the cramp more on one side? Could be ov pains? (Mittelsmerz?) keeping my fingers crossed for you

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 19/04/2013 22:35

hey ltd87, my AF was exactcly 6-weeks post first day of mc bleeding. But ovulated the next cycle if that helps and returned to normal cycle after.

LittleBairn · 19/04/2013 21:37

ltd I think the average is 4-6 weeks after MC. For me it was about 5 weeks even after having a late MC and weeks of post natal bleeding.

Emki · 19/04/2013 21:36

I'm probably the wrong person to ask as I'm still waiting!!! Going into epau on Tuesday if still hasn't arrived ... I was 8 -9 wks pregnant - but there are ladies on this thread whose AF arrived much sooner x

I know what you mean - everyone i see either has a bump or a newborn!!! Xxx
