Welcome aboard ladies (though obviously sorry you have to be here). We're a friendly bunch so come in and plump up a cushion for POAS Fridays and lots of posifrickingtivity. With a few (gentle) fish slaps thrown in for good measure.

onelittle Yes, the first calculation I used dated it at 27 Nov. Sorry to hear about your losses. I've been using gardening too JBrd - I'd never realised how therapeutic it was until this weekend. The idea of planting things and awaiting new life is really helping, especially this time of year. Might try some baking tomorrow night too.

JBrd · 23/04/2013 16:07

Hi Ariel, sorry to see you here as well - life is so cruel sometimes Sad
Strangely enough, I had also been looking for a rosebush yesterday! However, it was one that I've had my eye on for a while, not really anything to do with my mc...
I also didn't make it to my booking appt, I started bleeding just when I had arranged it with the midwife. Just like last time. I had, however, filled in the sodding form. Just like last time. Because, of course, they had to change the form completely in between Angry

My bleeding is getting less and less, and there is no pain or any discomfort anymore at all. I take that as a good sign, that my body is taking care of everything. Hopefully, the physical side of things will return to normal soon. I still feel a bit numb, not sure if I'm going to have a meltdown at one point... But I feel strangely calm and resigned, especially since I've passed the sac on Saturday. So different from the mc back in January.

I'm doing lots of baking and gardening, finding it very therapeutic. Fate has it that I've got last week and this week off anyway, as I'm starting a new job on Monday. Great timing Confused

OneLittleToddleTerror · 23/04/2013 16:01

ariel I see, you must have been due end of Nov? I should have been 13 weeks now Sad. My positivity today would be third time lucky and aiming for a 2014 baby!

Ariel21 · 23/04/2013 15:49

Yes I know what you mean, I think we are going to go with the doc's advice and wait for AF - she said that if it was 'normal' then feel free to go for it. We are quite keen to jump back on the horse, so to speak.

Bought a rose bush yesterday to remind us of the baby, it's called 'Lark Ascending' which I thought was a bit lovely.

I didn't make it to booking in. I was due to discuss it with my doctor last week but instead she talked me through my MC :/

OneLittleToddleTerror · 23/04/2013 14:57

Ariel I'm so sorry you are here too. I'm trying to be positive and think only of the future. I'm not sure if we'll try this month, or wait till a real AF. But it's hard to tell how I'll feel in a week, so I haven't ruled anything out. I guess I'll know I'm ready when I dust off that bbt thermometer and my fertility friend app.

Not sure what I'll do with my next booking in though. For my second time, I didn't fill out a new form, but used the one from my first time, and crossed out the last known period date. But then I didn't make it to the booking in first time, so the midwife haven't scribbled all over it. I don't think I could bring myself to fill out the same form yet again! I wonder how the midwife would react if I gave her the old one, and told her I would fill a new one in if I make it through the 12 week scan? Hmm

Ariel21 · 23/04/2013 14:26

Hello everyone. I know it's a bit soon but I thought I would check in. Already recognised Onelittle and JBrd from the Nov thread that we've sadly had to leave.

I miscarried over the last week, at what should have been 9 weeks. This looks like a nice safe haven. We are naturally devastated but really positive for the future.

I'm back at work, in a beer garden doing some reading and writing...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 23/04/2013 11:46

"I get knocked down, ill get knocked up again, cos you're never gonna keep me down..." Grin I'm still bloody singing that song!
It's going ok here. AF due today.--yesterday if going by my current cycle length. Still nothing. Hmm Confused

alyant79 · 23/04/2013 11:19

love it! now i have that song in my head though Hmm

saggy how goes it?

littlemiss glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today

OLTT I completely understand about being back a work taking your mind off things. Still think you're brave though.

sapphire good luck for June! It must be quite nice to have something concrete to aim for.

fod27 · 23/04/2013 08:54

Oooo I like it I like it a lot!!!

littlemisswednesday · 23/04/2013 08:37

sapphireday thanks very much for the message. Have been feeling much better about things over the last couple of months but just struggled with the EDD yesterday. Pleased to be past it now though as its been looming over me for a while. Think I was just so lucky to get pregnant straight away last time that I hadn't really prepped for the fact that my EDD date might roll round and I might not be pregnant again. I had a bit of a naive expectation that it would happen again quickly but it's taking longer than I thought.

BUT feeling much more positive today :)

Ooooo good idea..... We need little graduation pics!
What should we call it? I think it's fab we are all feeling sooo positive there's definitely more to this....eeeekkkk..,,, this could be it!! Omg I'm so excited now! Smile Grin Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/04/2013 22:00

Mummytothearkbuilder · 22/04/2013 21:55

Xx

Sapphireday · 22/04/2013 19:33

Hi everyone, thought I'd jump back in here. Back from a much needed holiday and have just had my dates for my next IUI cycle confirmed. June's the month for me! I'm full of posifrickintivity (thanks for the additional boost FOD!) and have my fingers crossed for one that sticks around for longer this time.

OLTT I think you are very brave to have gone back to work so quickly, and understand that keeping busy can help. Make sure you are looking after yourself though, and take time to grieve when you need to.

Saggy, I also have my fingers crossed for no AF for you. Hope those signs stay away.

Littlemiss so sorry that you have reached the EDD for your baby and are feeling down. I'm dreading reaching September 9th which was my due date. I completely understand the desire to get straight onto trying to conceive again after a mc, as I'm sure most (if not all) of the ladies on this thread do. Hope you're being taken care of today by your DP.

fod27 · 22/04/2013 16:19

Oooo eeeellkk just had a fabulous thought I wanted to share....wouldn't it be just fantastic If we were all preggers next month?! "life will knock us down....but it's up to us to decide wether to get back up again"

Throwing millions and squllions of bags of posifrickintivity your way girls!!!

Mwah xxxx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/04/2013 15:10

Well AF is officially due tomorrow and still no normal signs. Confused
Still feeling sick, POAS last night, nothing. and I managed to leave the wrapper in the bathroom and now DP and probably both teens think Im going mad!
I think I need to stop POanything, my head might explode before much longer!

Bakingtins · 22/04/2013 13:34

You can't use the CBFM if you have any pregnancy hormone left in your system, so you may have to wait until first proper AF, but that doesn't stop you trying if you get any other signs of ov this month.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 22/04/2013 13:17

alyant I'm back at my desk today. If I have stayed at home, it'll just be me dwelling in my sorrows. Being busy kept me thinking about sad thoughts.

I wouldn't be the first in my extended mum group to have number 2. Three already have newborns. A couple due in May, another in August. So many are having their seconds this year Sad. So yes, the party was a lot of bumps and babies. My DH was being very positive, like his normal self. He was talking about how a larger gap would save us money. Like nothing having to have two group 1 car seats, a shorter amount of time with two preschoolers, etc. Well I know he's just trying to cheer me up so I didn't tell him that they are all stupid reasons.

alyant79 · 22/04/2013 13:08

OLTT and guff i'm right there with you. I was the first of my group to get pregnant with number 2, but now it seems that most of the others are pg, with successful scans and here I am with nothing. Sad

JBrd GREAT positivity. Like it. I'm sure you'll be third time lucky

saggy FX that AF doesn't arrive

OLTT I hope that you are feeling alright today. I hope that you are coping with being back at work today (if you are). You are very brave and have just had an awful experience so if you need more time off I don't think that you should feel bad about taking it

AngelMummy2012 · 22/04/2013 12:40

Hello again Ladies!

I've been popping in every so often, but can't keep up with this post!

Congratulations to everyone who have got positives, sending you all sticky vibes!

My AF is 5 days overdue, negative test yesterday (sad). I'm assuming my AF hasn't come due to coming of the pill over a month ago. Also found out my Thrombophilia screening, protein C was on borderline 73%, retested 2 weeks ago and my results won't be back for another 2 weeks.. why am I so impatient? Blush
