Morning everyone,
I thought I'd start a Fred here documenting the first part of the eggs movements. Now, before I actually start I'll just say I'm not even yet pregnant so I'll babble on about every wasted egg too! I'm not obsessed but find writing things down easier than telling my already bored with a glazed over look on his face, husband. Im not asking you to reply but it would be fab if anyone would and welcome added input from everyone, whether you're TTC, already pregnant, or interested in reading about someone else's current efforts to get up duffed!
Right, are we all sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

A little about me. 30, married for 5 years, been together longer than a decade and came off pill jan 1st in anticipation. Taking folic acid amongst other vits and generally doing my very best to entice the swimmers into signing a 9 month tenency agreement. Husband is also 30 and trying not to get too excited as he knows as soon as he does, I'll be! Then it all goes to pot.

Ok, so as I've said jan 1st came off pill expecting to a)either fall pg straight away or b) take a good few months to really get back into the swing of things. I've been on the pill since I was 15 so was pleasantly surprised I went straight back into a 28 day cycle. Thought it may be a fluke, but no, feb saw the same activity! Then came march!! March bloody madness more like.
This month I'm a baby making looney tune! My body has led me down every emotional pathway, tricking me into thinking I'm pg. 2 tests later, both BFN I now imagine its getting me back for 15 years of no PMS symptoms! I've had them all.
It started with a kiss being so bloated that I resembled aunt petunia after Harry blew her up, working its way to wind that would rival the saharan summer nights, boobs are wonky, massive hard and itchy nips. I've felt the ovaries release, the ( in my imagination) implantation pain which was awful, the spotting, could be cataracts and seeing things, the nausea... Cooking mistakes and the crying at the smallest things, thousand hint OBEM last night was not helpful.
I've got the blue veins showing in the boob and so much CM I feel like I'm on a slip'n'slide (tmi)!
I've even got the stuffy nose and (grasping at straws here) its apparently a pg sign...albeit a small one. Who knew?

So AF is due to visit tomorrow should my 28 day cycle carry on, she's coming for 4 days making herself a general PITA but no pain, no gain eh? So for the next 4 days I'll be a sweaty, crampy, moaning harpie and after that expect OH to fancy me again.

Sorry if you've lost interested or I've killed a thread before even starting, but I'll keep at it and hopefully it'll pick up, turn into something more exciting or provide a place for others to say 'hey that happened to me too'.

See you on t'uther side.

Meema

Sorry, silly phone posted before I was ready!!

Yes, stuff to worry about - current worry is that I have a short luteal phase if I'm on CD14 of a 28 day cycle & haven't ovulated yet. Eeeek. A few months ago I didn't even know these things existed...

Off to the doctors now for (routine, unrelated to TTC) blood tests & will ask again about fertility testing on the NHS. All their guidelines say if you've been TTC for a year for most couples or six months if you're over 35 (I'm 36) then you should have further testing. Not sure why my GP said it was 18 months, anyone know if it's dependent on your local PCT?

RubySlippers77 · 30/05/2013 07:43

Any news minion?

CD14 and at last a Medium from the CBFM! Thought it would help things but it's given me a whole list of new stuff to w

Minion · 29/05/2013 18:50

Due on today and no sign of her.
Sore nips, and funny ad twitches, but I get that monthly so I'm not hopeful x

RubySlippers77 · 28/05/2013 19:52

Just found out that I'm not sure I've been using the CBFM correctly - bugger! Didn't realise there were blue lines to be seen on it (usually squinting at it in the morning without my contact lenses in) so have missed out on using this useful info:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1143716-Not-Ovulating/AllOnOnePage

CD12 now and Low readings all the way but have emailed Clearblue and they said not to worry, as it can take a couple of cycles before the monitor gets used to you?!

RubySlippers77 · 25/05/2013 16:53

Hey littlest

Sorry to hear that TTC is getting you down, and I hope you feel better soon (both less queasy and more positive!). We've only been TTC for 3 months but even so I've found it pretty demoralising, especially as you say with all the 'helpful' people saying about how they weren't even trying properly, it happened first time for them etc..... or even worse, "just relax and it will happen". AARRRGGHHH.

I've been concentrating on eating better and losing a bit of weight - have started running again, which gives me something to focus on - joined a local running club and have entered a couple of Race for Lifes, meaning I HAVE to be able to drag my arse round 5K somehow next month. Plus should we ever get to the top of the NHS waiting list for investigations, I didn't want them to be able to say we weren't eligible because I had to lose 3lb or something!

First cycle using the CBFM, which I picked up for £30 via eBay by the way - could not believe how much Boots were charging!! A lot of people sell new or nearly new ones on there, have a look; I haven't found anywhere to get the testing sticks cheap though, so let me know if you find any :) for me using the CBFM was another means to an end - I want to know that I'm actually ovulating (like you, I never got a positive on the cheapy OPKs) and if I have a couple of months with no results at least I can go back to my GP with that. CD9 and Low all the way so far, which I think is normal.

Oh and I've contacted a couple of local fertility clinics to find out how much they'd charge for investigations if we decided to go private, otherwise we won't be eligible for anything till Christmas if we go via the NHS, which is a looooong time to wait......

Other than that, I try to find stuff to do which I couldn't if I did have kids and make the most of it that way!

Am thinking of you and hoping you get your BFP soon x

littlestgirlguide · 25/05/2013 13:15

Feeling proper queasy today :-(

littlestgirlguide · 24/05/2013 23:19

Ruby, if you find any ways of remaining positive I hope you will share them, I find it hard. Now been trying 10 months, and it's pretty depressing. Especially when people keep getting pregnant really quickly and without even trying!
How are you finding the CBFM, thought about getting one and shied away because of te cost. I've used Internet cheapie OPKs though and never had a single positive, even on months when every other sign of O is there.
CD 22 today and I am suffering heavy, achey boobs again which is a pretty good sign for me that I'm out again this month, they appeared on day 20 exactly the same as last month. So I'm expecting AF to show her ugly mug next Friday.

RubySlippers77 · 22/05/2013 20:04

Oh - and I found out that antihistamines can dry up cervical mucus, which might be why I never saw any EWCM last month! Pesky hayfever.....

RubySlippers77 · 21/05/2013 19:15

Hi all :)

I'm on CD5, feeling better for starting running & eating healthily again, but still finding it difficult to stay positive sometimes - for example, I run through the park and see people with their kids and think, will that ever be me?! :( I know not everyone with kids had them without a struggle and that really we've been trying no time at all (third month of TTC) but would appreciate any ways of helping me stay looking on the bright side... How does everyone else cope?

First month of using my new CBFM so hopefully that will help - I was thinking that even if we have no luck it's something I can go back to my GP with and maybe get some further investigations done, if it turns out that they're needed!

littlestgirlguide · 20/05/2013 19:45

Got my days wrong - AF should just avoid my bank holiday by a couple of days. Doing my best not to symptom spot. Day 17 and nothing.

Minion · 20/05/2013 12:30

2 week waiting here too and like you I've done all the right things. So fingers crossed.
This month is very different, I'm no longer getting the 2 weeks of cramps and backaches so it's much easier to actually get through this 2 week stint.
No sore boobs as of yet, which appear slightly Nyways but all we do now is wait x

littlestgirlguide · 19/05/2013 21:54

Entering the 2 week wait here, day 16 today. Absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be lucky this month - all the right things happened - but trying not to get my hopes up! If AF turns up when expected she will spoil another bank holiday! How's everyone else doing?

RubySlippers77 · 14/05/2013 21:44

Hey minion - how I empathise with your statement about work!! Quite frankly I've only been holding on for the maternity pay, and as that doesn't look like it'll be needed any time soon, I'm going to do a bit of job hunting.....

AF seems to have decided to bugger off for a while and leave confusion in her wake; I've never had bleeding between periods before but yesterday I did have a few spots, no idea why. Well, I thought AF was starting early but apparently not, so who knows! In a positive thinking kind of way I contacted two local fertility clinics to see what tests they offer and how much (don't get anything for free with the NHS yet!) and they've both been helpful, so will talk to DP about that once AF finally arrives. Thursday is D day but I'm determined not to test till Saturday morning if it's late, as I really don't think we'll have any luck this month.

Good luck with the shagging - enjoy!! Wink xxx

Minion · 14/05/2013 09:00

Hi ruby, sorry you've had a Shyte day chick, and that the ugly witch is beginning to show her mug. It's shit isn't it? Shit, shit, shit.
Not much new on my front, just shagging away as I'm coming up on my fertile window. This month I'm approaching it differently though. I'm going to keep shagging thru the window and beyond just in case I OV later than normal as body still messed up post pill.
Let's hope that works cuz frankly I can't be fucked with work haha xxx

RubySlippers77 · 13/05/2013 12:32

Pfft. Knew they were phantom symptoms - think AF is starting today, 3 days early again - no idea why as I've always been around the 28 day mark. Won a CBFM last night on eBay thinking that would give me plenty of time to get it, but nooooo, so looks like I won't be able to use that till next month.

Also I'm having to deal with a sarcastic & work shy colleague today which combined with the above, has already nearly reduced me to tears. Pretty crappy day for me all round eggwatchers, hope all your Mondays are going better!!

RubySlippers77 · 12/05/2013 18:39

Oh dear, fellow eggspotters - CD25 sees a return to false symptom spotting..... today's are 'my boobs hurt' and 'everything tastes funny'. I think the first is due to the imminent onset of AF and the second to my poor cooking, sadly! I was hoping to distract myself with many aches and pains after yesterday's fitness class but it doesn't seem to have done the trick Hmm

Currently bidding on a CBFM on ebay (must also remember test sticks and batteries or I will end up scratching my head about why it doesn't work.....) so let's hope next month is more productive!!

RubySlippers77 · 10/05/2013 18:39

Hi minion - what a pain!! I hope this month is productive for you and am sure that the cramps, spots etc are worth it when that BFP arrives!

I had an 'ooooh maybe' moment when I realised that I've been sniffling for a few days, and that can be an early sign of pregnancy. Then I remembered it's hayfever season - LOL, what a muppet.

Still going to buy a CBFM so I can at least feel that I'm doing everything I can about that side of things, and concentrate on the running and low carb-ing in the meantime. I do feel better for it and my trousers were ever so slightly looser this morning. I think it'll be quite a while before I look like Kate Moss though.....

CD23 and no EWCM that I've noticed this month, BTW. What is going on?!

Minion · 09/05/2013 11:53

Hi ruby, yes I think it's beginning to settle down to a rhythm now. I'm quite possibly one of those people who cramp constantly in the 2 ww, fun. And the spots, oh the spots!
So all in all I wouldn't have a clue what it may feel like to be pg as it will be exactly the same!
AF is more painful however, boo. But this month just passed was a lot liter than previous months.
little valentines babas! How lovely and to have spring/summer off with the baby, so sweet all those little clothes xx

RubySlippers77 · 08/05/2013 23:27

Hi again all,

Well, I haven't been obsessing about getting PG for a little while as I have replaced it with a getting thin/ fit obsession!! Got on the scales and was shocked to find that I'm almost 11 stone, this is the biggest I've been for years Shock I should be around 10 stone or preferably just under, I have high blood pressure and know my consultant will shout at me if I haven't lost weight by my next appointment in August.....

So anyway, I have been out running, joined the low carb bootcamp challenge on this very helpful website and am generally feeling quite positive about it all Grin I'm hoping that once I'm in better shape I'll also have more luck conceiving. I'm going to invest in a CBFM though as I feel like that way I can (hopefully!) find out when I'm ovulating, concentrate on DTD then and not wonder constantly when would be the best time. I've tried the OPKs but never get a clear result - occasionally a faint positive line but it says you need a dark line for a definite result - not sure if that's because I drink such a lot of water! On CD21 this month and no positive as yet, I haven't noticed any EWCM either so who knows?!

minion - how are you settling into the post pill rhythm, are you feeling better about things?

littlest - I will have my fingers crossed for you to have a Valentine's baby!!

littlestgirlguide · 08/05/2013 22:15

How is everyone?
CD6 here, and so far so textbook. AF has gone after a fairly short (for me) stay of only 5 days. Maybe this will be my month, who knows! Conceiving this month would give us a February baby, and the whole spring and summer off work.... Better get busy ladies!

Minion · 01/05/2013 08:52

And so we begin again. CD1
I'm not too disappointed as lots of things happening work wise hopefully and being pg may have put a stop to it.
But hey Jo, onwards!
I feel the old body may just be starting to work itself into a rhythm post pill. I now know that I get sore nips before AF and that stops the morning she arrives and approx 12 hours before I suffer with a bit of nausea, so at least I know what to look for now.

littlestgirlguide · 29/04/2013 19:39

Well keep us informed!
As I know categorically that I am not pregnant this month (poor DH and his groin strain!) I am using it as opportunity to chart standard cycle symptoms without getting all hung up on what everything means. It's quite refreshing!
I sold my buggy yesterday. My DD is nearly 4, and we've not used it for months, but I had a proper emotional moment as the lady who bought it put it in her car. It feels like the end of my time with a baby, I just can't seem to convince myself that we will ever get lucky again. All my baby memories went with that buggy. Our first family holiday, trips to the beach, hill walking, muddy camp sites.... Plus how the hell am I supposed to carry a picnic on this years holiday in June?!

Minion · 29/04/2013 19:10

You're absolutely correct Mrs. The evil wench is due tomorrow assuming itll be a 28 day cycle. Body is still coming down the pill so conservatively thinking between 28-32 days long.
Nips still sore, and still having cramps. Taste coming and going and spotty spotty.
Tis a shwme pms symptoms are the same as pg ones, x

littlestgirlguide · 29/04/2013 18:33

If my calculations are right Minion, AF should be due around your way about now? Before hotfoot ing it to me on thursday for the bank holiday weekend!

Minion · 27/04/2013 07:08

Ai.
Just a few days though. Nothing exciting.
