Trying to Conceive Thread . . . .3!!

Right oh.

I thought the TTC Thread no. 2 was getting a bit depressing and we all need cheering up with extra sprinkles of babydust, so I thought I would start a new thread.

I also have a motive - having looked back at the last 4 ttc threads I have noticed (being the sad person I am) that the thread originators all became pg during the life of the thread.

So . .

Here's me:

24 years old, DD 16 months, ttc since September.

Anyone joining me on this nw, happy thread?

harman - !!! That sounds like a positive to me. Out of interest, what type of test did you use?

Congratulations fisil (and Mr fisil!!) . Good luck for tomorrow morning. Thanks for the cute card too!

Bunny, I'm inclined to agree with Quacks about the bleeding - it seems very strange and I think you should mention it to your doctor. I have suffered in the past from bleeding between periods (it used to start just after ov and continue for about a week) and did have it checked out. They told me it could be due to a polyp or something (?? can't remember exactly, it was a few years ago). But they couldn't find anything wrong and after a few months it stopped happening and looking back I think it might have been something to do with stress.

harman, I'm glad you had a good night out. I had a couple of glasses of wine tonight too. Azure, perhaps you could include this in the spreadsheet so I can keep track of my boozing. On second thoughts, maybe not!

Conratulations and jubilations Fisil. I am so, so, so pleased for you!! Well done. The e-card is lovely, made me feel a bit choked.

Hana, Ihope all goes well tomorrow with the doctor. Let us know the outcome wont you? And dont be rushed out of the door, stick your heels in and get all the answers you need.

Quacks, I was thinking about you today, how was your scan? I suppose I should see my gp about the blleding, I have had quite alot of cramping, like period pains but the bleeding has settled down. My body likes playing silly buggers I think.

cute card fisil.....we all hope the October thread fills up soon!!!

Kay1 · 11/02/2004 20:51

Well done fisil! Congratulations and best wishes for tomorrow morning xx

ermentrude · 11/02/2004 19:30

FISIL!!!! Fantastic news!!! Get back to the docs and get them to do the blood tests that others have mentioned here!

I am quite excited as AF is on it's way and that means that I can start my first cycle of temping! Didn't realise that I would be pleased about this!

Again, fisil, fantastic news!

tillymint · 11/02/2004 19:25

Fantastic news
I had early scans due to previous probs, and you can see a heart beat.
Ask for a vaginal scan, as no matter how much water I drank, they still couldn't see anything. All that aching bladder control for nothing.
Well done again - I know exactly how you feel.

fisil · 11/02/2004 17:39

try this

Lesley76 · 11/02/2004 17:28

Fisil - I was sent for scan at EPU at 5 weeks and a few days ( after LMP) as i was at risk of an ectopic preg. In fact they could even see a heartbeat which was wonderful! And everything was in the right place. Amazing!! So good luck for tomorrow!

BigBird · 11/02/2004 16:53

great news fisil. Doc doesn't sound too helpful. Hope tomorrow morning goes ok.
BTW,That link didn't work!

fisil · 11/02/2004 16:18

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks for all your help and support.

I am very pleased to graduate, but very sad to say goodbye (although, of course, I could be back). But Eyelash and I are now skipping off to start a new life together!

I went back to work, had one successful lesson, but got instantly wound up by my Y11 right at the start of the next lesson, so ran out crying. Went to see boss (who was with the head) and the head just said "sod the doctor, go home now." So I've been curled up in bed all p.m.

Before coming home I rang a friend who works in a local EPU and she has booked me in for a before hours scan tomorrow morning. I said, but surely they can't see anything? She said no, but they can see if everything is as it should be. So feel much better about that.

To all ttcers

madgirl · 11/02/2004 16:04

fisil that's fabby, it really is. congratulationsxxx

SpringChicken · 11/02/2004 15:47

Congratulations Fisil What is your EDD then?

M2T · 11/02/2004 13:17

WELL DONE FISIL!!! You're quite right.... SOD the Doctor!

CONGRATULATIONS. So...when you due??

Quackers · 11/02/2004 12:56

CONGRATULATIONS FISIL!!!!!!!!!
Yes see a different Doctor and tell them you have had bleeding, they should do 2 blood tests 48 hrs apart just to check your hormones are doubling for reassurance!!!! Well done!!!!!!!
Bunny, do you think you should just see your GP about the bleeding, if you have had lots of follicles I presume it would increase the amount of blood but just to put your mind at rest??? You haven't any pains have you???

CountessDracula · 11/02/2004 11:05

Fisil

What fantastic news, I am so happy for you! Go and put your feet up girl!

Oh well guess who'll be driving on the next SW London meet-up And no sneaky tabs on the balcony either

eyelash · 11/02/2004 11:01

Fisil - fantastic news. I knew you were. Any chance you could get yourself down to a EPU. They can do bloodtests which tell you whether your hormone is rising and that would be reassuring.

Azure · 11/02/2004 10:39

Fisil - fantastic news Best of luck for a smooth pregnancy. Unbelievable how unhelpful your GP was, though. Of course now I have to update my spreadsheet.

hana · 11/02/2004 10:22

oh fisil thats fabulous news! Do rest and sod the doctor!!
Yipee! Congratulations!!

futurity · 11/02/2004 09:52

Congratulations Fisil! Well chuffed for you!

I am only so patient as I have two negitive tests in the bin which tell me I can't be pregnant..and AF pains as well..but no AF!

Azure...your spreadsheet made me laugh..although secretly chuffed..never been in a spreadsheet before! :0 (or do I only get in it if I am pregnant?!)

Futurity - I can't believe you are so patient. I am well impressed.

fisil · 11/02/2004 09:45

Well, doctor said that it is far too early to be able to tell anything. Could be pg, could not be, could be pg and it will soon end in early mc. Nothing I can do about it, she said. She told me not to test again until next Monday as it was pointless. I suggested I rest, she said no point, I should pull myself together and get back to work!

So, being the good little girl that I am ...

I have come straight home and done another test ... definitely positive. Woah!

I now consider myself to be officially pg, and sod the doctor!
