Right oh.

I thought the TTC Thread no. 2 was getting a bit depressing and we all need cheering up with extra sprinkles of babydust, so I thought I would start a new thread.

I also have a motive - having looked back at the last 4 ttc threads I have noticed (being the sad person I am) that the thread originators all became pg during the life of the thread.

So . .

Here's me:

24 years old, DD 16 months, ttc since September.

Anyone joining me on this nw, happy thread?

BeckiF - definately get the medal. How awful...esp with the tests - do you buy them in batches on the net? Or have shares in ClearBlue?

Welcome PandaBear - hope you're not here too long! And Futurity you complain and moan all you want. We all have dif cycles and histories and we're certainly all entitled to complain about our own realities.
Have a great romantic weekend everyone!

BigBird · 12/02/2004 16:34

welcome pandabear!

Becki - you will have to win the prize for longest cycle I think

I get frustrated waiting the 28 days - you must be off the scale.
Wishing you all the best of luck !

BeckiF · 12/02/2004 16:24

Much love and happiness to all the successes! I am currently on day 124 of my cycle .... yes really! No sing of AF at all and a string of -pg behind me! I totally give up and HATE my body. Thankfully dp is taking me away for a romantic valentines weekend. Please send baby dust and fertile vibes our way, just in case!

Kay1 · 12/02/2004 13:59

Well done Harman - sounds like a positive!

Futurity - it must be really awful waiting and not knowing - so please don't feel you shouldn't be complaining - I've only ever been one day late and was climbing the walls (not literally) but you know what i mean.

and hello Pandabear - good luck in ttc

Azure · 12/02/2004 13:42

Hello and welcome to the thread PandaBear. Best of luck in ttc.

PandaBear · 12/02/2004 13:37

Hi,

New to this thread - just started TTC so hope you don't mind me joining you. Have one DD who is 20 months old and hoping for not too long an age gap!!

Just wanted to say Good luck to all of you who are waiting to find out if they are pg - I'll keep my fingers crossed.

bunny2 · 12/02/2004 13:15

Futurity, I didnt get a pos till day 34, dont give up yet.xxx

Hana, what an anticlimax. Dont they realise how important these tests are to you? I remember when they screwed mine up, I went ballistic. So sorry, I know how you feel.

Anyone heard from ChaCha?

futurity · 12/02/2004 13:05

Hana - 2 weeks late..blimey! You must have stressed out big time about that. I'm not even a week late yet so I should stop complaining when there are others who are having a much tougher time than me. Feeling a bit better now..felt crap this morning due to tiredness. For the first night in a while DS slept through but I still woke up 3 times needing the toilet (to which my DH replied..you must be pregnant!)

hana · 12/02/2004 12:48

Futurity - my AF 2 cycles ago was nearly 2 weeks late and I spend a great deal of money on tests.....I think I was just so stressed out about ttc and m/c etc etc.....of course am hoping that your result won't be the same and you get some great news soon. Sorry

Harman- good things happen in threes ( if you're so inclined to believe in those things!) so that's you, eyelash and fisil! Many congratulations for a healthy happy pregnancy.
Time for the next set of luck to start now....who's it going to be? (All of us out there saying ME ME ME Me please!!!!!!!)

I'm on CD 16 and have been told no bd b/c I'm having a smear test tomorrow. Think that DH is secretly pleased about this and having a break....so think the timing has been a bit out this month.
And my results - a long long story short - the lab say they didn't get the blood. Incredibly frustrated and upset about this and regretting not going privately - they now have to be repeated.
Thank god I'm going away for a few weeks to Canada (yah!!!!!!) so can put it all aside for a while.
hana

futurity · 12/02/2004 10:48

My last AF started on the 10th January which makes today day 34 I think? Last two cycles were 29 and 31 days so I figure that I was due around then. With DS my cycle was 29 days without fail so when I was due on the Saturday and nothing happened I tested on the Monday and bingo!

Oh well..nothing I can really do but wait.

dejags · 12/02/2004 10:41

Congrats Fisil & Harman!!!

All the best for happy, healthy pregnancies.

dejags · 12/02/2004 10:41

Congrats Fisil & Harman!!!

All the best for happy, healthy pregnancies.

CountessDracula · 12/02/2004 10:29

Well done Harman - many congratulations to you

Azure · 12/02/2004 10:28

Futurity this must be interminable for you. When I was pregnant with DS my test result was not positive until a week after AF was due. Are you around CD 33 now? Fingers crossed.

fisil · 12/02/2004 10:00

I know. It's the not knowing that feels so awful, isn't it?

futurity · 12/02/2004 09:59

Don't know...can't be pregnant with all these results but hate AF not coming (never thought I would say that!).

fisil · 12/02/2004 09:58

Oh futurity, Will you test again on Saturday?

fisil · 12/02/2004 09:57

Congratulations Harman! Come join us on Oct '04.

I feel so much better. Couldn't see anything on the scan - of course - but was treated with understanding. They took bloods, have to do some more on Saturday, then they'll compare the hormone levels to see whether they are progressing correctly. And will automatically
get an early scan. So feeling much more in control - good to have DONE something!

Anyway, I'll leave now, because you only need to scroll a short way down this thread to see how much it pissed me off when people got pg. I know it's time to move on!

Best of luck everyone.

futurity · 12/02/2004 09:56

Just took another test and negitive again. Seriously fed up.

BigBird · 12/02/2004 09:44

Congrats Harman ! Do another first response test first thing in the morning maybe....?

Oh Bunny - hope you get sorted soon !

Hana - good luck with results.

Quacks - GREAT NEWS ! Sounds like you are in good hands.

Good luck to anyone bding this weekend (like me !). DH has to travel next week (from cd 14) so here's hoping for an early Ov !

bunny2 · 12/02/2004 09:16

Harman, congratulations to you . I am so pleased (and dead jealous!!). That is great news. Well done.

Quacks, great to hear the scan went well and that you are, deservedly, getting extra special care.

Bleeding again, will ring Dr. bugger.

Quackers · 12/02/2004 08:54

CONGRATULATIONS HARMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
Bunny, hope the bleeding has settled, I do think the Doc would put your mind at rest and rule out some possibilites that this could be, although it does happen doesn't it sometimes, it's just if it happens every cycle I presume that it becomes more of an issue. Scan fine TQ, a little small as DD was so they will scna every month and consultant will see me every time, so I do feel very looked after. He was so nice about my m/c's too, very reassuring, if only all of them were like that!

Azure · 12/02/2004 08:48

Harman, I think congratulations are in order. A positive line, however faint, is a positive. Looks like that October thread is starting to fill up!! Fisil, your card was great.

Oooh, interesting - not one of the First Response ones then. Did you get a twinpack?
