Trying to Conceive Thread . . . .3!!

Right oh.

I thought the TTC Thread no. 2 was getting a bit depressing and we all need cheering up with extra sprinkles of babydust, so I thought I would start a new thread.

I also have a motive - having looked back at the last 4 ttc threads I have noticed (being the sad person I am) that the thread originators all became pg during the life of the thread.

So . .

Here's me:

24 years old, DD 16 months, ttc since September.

Anyone joining me on this nw, happy thread?

Thanks for the links Moomin, have been taking loads of echinacea for a cold/flu coming on and will now rethink that !!

Quackers · 09/02/2004 10:02

Hi BB!!!! My friend does rflexology for ttc and apparantly there are specific areas they target to make you optimally fertile!!!! Take some evening primrose oil capsules too as they maximise CM!!!

BigBird · 09/02/2004 09:49

Congrats Eyelash ! Geat news.

Good luck fisil.

Q about Reflexology - was gonna book a session for this w/e. Should it be booked as a session specifically for ttcing ? Cos I don't think anyone around here specialises in that. Would it be worthwhile just to go for a regular reflex session or should I spend the money on a massage instead ? Just trying to de-stress before O !

Hi Bunny, no shift at all?? It's such a pain, cos I know the feeling of checking your temp each day and expecting one thing and getting another. It is such a useful tool to you though and you can show your Doc so they know wether to increase dose etc... I'm following you every time I log on!!! Even think about you in 'real'life!!
I'm fine thank you for asking. I'm pretty much 16 weeks and due 27/28th July. Scan on Wednesday.

Take care for now xxxx

bunny2 · 08/02/2004 20:53

Fisil, I read your post and immediately thought "implantation bleed", I really hope it is. Good luck. Eyelash needs some company!

Quacks, hi mate, pos lh surge on Fri but no thermal shift. So, not sure what is going on. How's the bump? Are you feeling more positive now. Also, when is your due date?

Quackers · 08/02/2004 20:43

Hi!! Firstly Bunny!!! Yippeee! Hope you are 'busy'!!!
Harman. First response is the most sensitive available - 3 days before AF due, but early responses have been achieved with clearblue and Boots!! Everyone seems different! Good luck!!

Fisil, I agree, I think it could be an imp bleed. They vary from literally a spot of pink to 3 or 4 days of spotting of any colour they say! Certainly unusual for you though as you say!!! You'll know soon enough then!!

jellycat · 08/02/2004 19:59

Ooooo fisil, that sounds hopeful ! I had spotting when my period was due in my first pg - it was a bit like you're describing. I also had an implantaion bleed which was a bit heavier than that.

Harman, there is a brand (I think First Response) which is supposed to work from 3 days before your period is due. I've only ever used Boots own brand tests - they are reckoned to be very good but they only claim to work from the day your period is due.

tillymint · 08/02/2004 19:52

fisil,
you'd have to get a lot more, like a light period, before you'd need to be concerned. I think eyelash is right.

harman
hello, are you back on the prozac yet? Hope you get a positive, not sure about early testers I've always used Clear Blue, its accurate from one day late.

fisil · 08/02/2004 19:44

Thanks all. Trying not to get hopes up.

hana · 08/02/2004 19:34

fisil, hope you get a positive....

eyelash · 08/02/2004 19:31

I remembered because of pissy sticks!!! Will be thinking of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fisil · 08/02/2004 19:17

Oh, and other symptoms is extreme tiredness & snappiness, but it might be my job!

fisil · 08/02/2004 19:16

Eyelash, you've made my day, I'm really touched. I can't believe you remembered which day I surged! That's made me feel better already. Will probably wake up with af tomorrow, but if no show by the end of the day, I'll pop into the chemist on my way home.

Fisil

Any chance it was an implantation bleed? If I remember rightly your lh surge was day 15(?) so it could be. Any other symptoms?

Fingers crossed for you and everybody else waiting to test!

Thanks again for all the great messages. Assuming the scan is good on Friday I will join the October thread. I hope to see some of you there.

fisil · 08/02/2004 18:56

What would more "russet" mean?

tillymint · 08/02/2004 18:48

Do a test, sounds like remnants of an old cycle clearing out.

But if you get much more russet let me know.

Good Luck, fingers crossed!
tilly

fisil · 08/02/2004 18:35

Two or three quite bright streaks (a couple of centimetres long, slightly thinner than thread) the first couple of times, then a sort of russet coloured goo. Don't know how to put this delicately - it was never enough to "hit the knickers"!

tillymint · 08/02/2004 18:30

fisil'
A bit personal, but are the spots red, or prune?
tilly

fisil · 08/02/2004 18:21

What do you make of this ladies?

Wednesday: spot
Thursday: spot
Friday: spot
Saturday: nothing
Sunday: nothing

So, three days of spotting, then nothing. Usually three days of spotting then full on AF. Certainly not seen a gap between spotting & AF before - usually it works itself up. DP has suggested the stress at work playing with my body as an alternative solution. Today is cd 28.

futurity · 08/02/2004 13:54

Thanks Kay1. Pains still here but no period yet..due on today though.

Kay1 · 08/02/2004 13:47

Bad luck futurity - it's really hard to not do a test isn't it. As it gets nearer and nearer to AF, i find that i just want to know AND NOW! The fact they do those early test kits doesn't help my bank balance either.

If it is AF for you this time - best wishes for next month.

futurity · 07/02/2004 13:17

In a bad mood!! Just ignore me when I say I won't buy preg testing kits until after I am due becuase I did yesterday..I was in Boots and the First Response leapt out at me! Anyway..did it and negitive Then about an hour later my aches and pains turned up and have had them today as well as well as being in a horrible mood..so roll on AF as I know it is on its way.

GRRRR!

jellycat · 07/02/2004 09:00

Yippee bunny !

tillymint · 06/02/2004 21:59

Moomin
I had reflexology, with unexplained fertility (and only one tube). It worked! Am peregnant now and have a 6mth old (at 41).
Goodluck, and beleive.

You may wish to visit a homeopath aswell, to get your cycle 'sorted'.
