Trying to Conceive Thread . . . .3!!

Right oh.

I thought the TTC Thread no. 2 was getting a bit depressing and we all need cheering up with extra sprinkles of babydust, so I thought I would start a new thread.

I also have a motive - having looked back at the last 4 ttc threads I have noticed (being the sad person I am) that the thread originators all became pg during the life of the thread.

So . .

Here's me:

24 years old, DD 16 months, ttc since September.

Anyone joining me on this nw, happy thread?

Jellycat, so it's at least 3 days past ov for implantation?

bunny2 · 09/02/2004 23:46

I was going to bed, went for a wee and have been bleeding a teeny amount. Now in a flap, could it be an implantation bleed? Or is it an ovulation bleed (o'd yesterday I think, maybe the day before).

M2T · 09/02/2004 22:17

Harman - I did indeed get an early positive with Boots own.... I bet everyone's really fed-up with me saying this.... but..... .... I did one 9 days after bd'ing (yes our sexlife is THAT sporadic!), that was 5/6 days before my AF was due. I got a faint positive about an hour after I threw it in the bin! I did another the next night.... and the next. All faint, but definitely positive.

Good luck. ..fingers crossed Fisil.

CountessDracula · 09/02/2004 22:14

Sorry Fisil, but maybe it's just too early

Hello folks. Fisil and futurity, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that AF does not visit.

Harman, it's so hard having to wait isn't it. As mentioned, First Response might give you an early result and I think M2T got an early result with a Boots test (have a look on one of the earlier threads). But it's very unusual to get such an early result I think, so I'm afraid if you test too early you'll probably just end up wasting your money .

I'm on CD 20 ATM and driving myself mad wondering. Maybe Persona isn't such a good idea - since I'm certain that I ovulated this month I'm just more desperate than ever to know!

Bunny, to confirm ovulation occurred I think you should see elevated temps for at least 3 days. Then if you are pg you may see an implantation dip followed by elevated temps again. Have a look at the chart galleries on fertility friend or on the tcoyf site

bunny2 · 09/02/2004 21:12

Quick question Quacks, you are the expert around here. Will my temps stay elevated till af? And what happens if I am pg?

bunny2 · 09/02/2004 21:11

Quacks, you do make me laugh! I got about 5 sessions in, dh thinks all his Christmasses ahve come at once!

Harman, I am 5 days behind you. Day 23 is very early to test, how long are your cycles?

futurity · 09/02/2004 20:45

Harman: With First Response you can test three days before your period is due so not long before you can test. I hate all the waiting as well

Quackers · 09/02/2004 20:32

Bunny, I woke up this morning and thought I bet Bunny ov's today - I know I'm sad. I was working out when you had your surge and thought well today would be the day really that you get your rise!!!! I was right!! Hope you managed to get some sessions in!!!!!!!!! The clomid worked then!! xxxx
Harman, don't panick, you're in good hands here! Hope you are successful, you'll be able to test soon!!!

Oh no, Fisil, I was really hopeful. But you must retest if no AF, I had 4 negs before a pos when I was pg last time. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some good news from you (and from you Futurity too).

Kay, a few drinks and then some serious bding sounds like a great idea. Is this your first time temping?

Well, I had a temp peak this morning, now I keep looking at my oh-so-pretty chart and smiling. I did ovualte after all, just a bit slower than most. Now I jsut have to hope all that shagging was worthwhile! Dh a bit miffed that there is no need to continue.

Harman, what cycle day are you on?

Quacks, your pg is flying by! Good luck on Wednesday, lots of love to you. Bxxx

fisil · 09/02/2004 18:34

Ah, you're all making me tearful again. Thanks for all your concern. A negative, unfortunately. But still no AF, so will have another go later in the week - I'll hold off as long as I can bear (or until AF shows)

CountessDracula · 09/02/2004 17:29

Thinking of you Fisil

Fingers crossed!

elena2 · 09/02/2004 17:27

Not a ttc'er but also wanted to say good luck to Fisil.

dinosaur · 09/02/2004 17:23

fisil - just popping in to say I've got my fingers crossed for you

futurity · 09/02/2004 17:16

AF still not showed up so did the other preg test and negitive still. I think that the 29 day cycle last month was lulling me into believing that my "old" cycle had returned. I think I am destined to have a longer cycle so expect it will arrive in the next few days.

Oh well! Better luck next time! The good thing is that my friend who is 4 months pregnant has some spare ovulation sticks which she didn't need to use so she is giving them to me so I will give them ago next time. Will be reassuring just to see whether and when I am ovulating as I am sure I had that egg white stuff quite late in this cycle (day 20ish). My friend bought two packs and used the first one and then some of the second pack before she ovulated and got pregnant that month so hopefully she will pass on lucky vibes!

tillymint · 09/02/2004 11:33

BB
I had reflexology and saw a homeopath, it worked for me.(and I only have one tube!) She wasn't expert in TTC, but new which areas to work on. In fact when I fell, she knew before I'd done the test. When she touched the area it was v painful..wierd, but true!!

Homeopath was an ex-midwife, so she had good knowledge of womens stuf!

Good Luck

Quackers · 09/02/2004 11:18

Kay, you can get a dip for various reasons, so try not to rely on that too much, but if your OPK says go for it then go for it!!!!!! You just don't know, every cycle can be diff!!! Good luck!!

Bogwoppit · 09/02/2004 11:15

big bird. I had reflexology (& fell preg same month) I went mid cycle so for me about day 13. she could tell I was oving or abouit to ov & it must've kick started summat!

even if you just go to relax you will feel better. i am about to make another appt cos I have back pains & want to chill out too!

hope that helps
good luck

baby dust to everyone
love bogwoppit (22 weeks preg today - graduate of ttc)

It makes me tearful everytime I see all your lovely messages (tearful ... symptom?). I can test as soon as dp gets in from work. He said he may even be early, so we might have a result by 6p.m. I plan to leave work even earlier and pick up a test on the way home (unless AF turns up before then, in which case I'll stay here and cry!)

Fisil when can you test?

Kay1 · 09/02/2004 10:21

good luck fisil - it all sounds really hopeful

I woke up to a big temp drop, so am wondering if it's ov dip? i am only on day 9 which seems very early to me as i usually have a 27-28 day cycle. I have a cupboard full of wee sticks but forget to use one this morning so am now trying not to wee for next few hours so i can do it later!! I'm going out for a girls night out at pub tonight, so had not planned any bd'ing.......i suppose i could always not drink too much and seduce dh when i get back!!

BigBird · 09/02/2004 10:08

hey Quacks ! How are u? I tried Star Flower Oil capsules before for a few mths. Am only on pregnacare now. You get so paranoid about diff combinations of tablets! Will book the reflexology now...ta!
