Tricks lovely to see you, I have been thinking of you and how you and DH are getting on. Are you back for a while??

Cups when do you start your new job?

Geek lovely, how are you doing? How is the metformin treating you, has the dose been increased yet?? What is next on your agenda?

I have forgotten everything else I have read so I will brook for speedy appointments, successful treatments and no nasty down reg side effects :):)

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 12:45

kitty its just a blood test. I would have thought you would still need some form of treatment to zap the cells as well. but I might be wrong. the consultant I saw slightly tailors the treatment to each person. the difficult thing is not all medical professionals believe in the theory. what's made you think about this, if you don't mind me asking? if you visit the TTC on prednisolone part 10 thread someone there would know the answer to any question you might have.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 08/05/2013 12:44

Hello Face it's lovely to see you. How are you doing?

Beedle hope you get everything sorted out with your boss. Fingers crossed you can sort it by doing that extra work but I'm sure he will be understanding if you need to explain it all to him.

Sweetie have you got a date for your scan yet? I was thinking about you yesterday as I was looking after a lovely little boy who was conceived via donor egg IVF (he is a twin btw!)

Well I've finished work!! Yesterday was my last day. We had cakes & lots of hugs. I've got a leaving meal to look forward to next week. I'm really going to miss my colleagues not the job or the managers I hope my new team are as nice.

AF is not due over the weekend for me. I'm stupidly getting my hopes up as we have dtd lots over the past month.

BlindKitty · 08/05/2013 12:40

cartoon (aka person who seems to know everything!), how do they test for nk cells? If I do have them, do you know if iui will still work?

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 12:28

depends a bit on the day keep today I'm ok. just kinda feel like we're waiting for something to happen and this one appointment might not be the end of the wait.

keepitgoing · 08/05/2013 12:26

Very well thank you! Looking forward to lots more grads in the next couple of months. Not too long till your appointment now, but that's been quite a wait for you. How are you doing?

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 12:13

not sure, that was ment to say! d'oh

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 12:12

beedle I'm sure I tend to get obsessive and spend every minute here!
but I'm ok. time seems to be on go slow but we'll get there.
keep our appointment is 29th may.
how are you?
how is everyone?!

keepitgoing · 08/05/2013 08:24

face! When's your follow up appointment, should be soon I think?

solars a combination of minor things can all add up I guess. Even borderline things. I think our issue was getting sperm to meet egg, with poorish morphology, and maybe I was slightly wrong ph or something. I agree, worth trying it all.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/05/2013 05:32

Nice to see you cartoon how are things with you? Can we tempt you back permanently?

solars it sounds like making some minor changes to a few things might be what you need. When's AF due so you can start?

geek any sign of ovulation?

Rather busy at work at the moment, and my normally nice boss is umming and arring over the few days "holiday" that I want to take in 4 weeks time Hmm I'm going to work some overtime over the weekend which will hopefully put his mind at rest. Otherwise I will just have to explain that its not holiday and it not negotiable, so there And its his fault for giving me an extra project and a new employee to look after. But on the bright side, downregging is still ok, and we have a 4day weekend coming up :o

yes you can, I didn't but I think olives did. don't think you can get all the treatment on NHS though.

BlindKitty · 08/05/2013 02:57

Thanks cartoon, do you know if its something I can get tested on the nhs? 24 months down the line and still no answers!

GreenOlives · 07/05/2013 21:28

solars I was told to take an additional 25mcg of Vit D on top of what was in the preg multi vitamin. x

cartoontrickster · 07/05/2013 19:24

not me solars I was having the intraliped drips.

Solars · 07/05/2013 18:26

Thank you so much Olives & Face that's really interesting I will definitely look into the thread Olives. I'm taking the Zita West pre-concep vits which contain (1000IU/25ug) vit D3 which I hope is enough and I have also been taking omega 3. I got a copy of my immune results today and from what I can see only a couple of my nk levels are only just elevated above what they consider ok for fertility, but DH and I had a long chat about it today and decided to put our faith in the clinic (considering their success rates etc) and just go on what they advise. All that has been going through my head today is what is the issue then with me and DH as surely the slightly raised NK cells can't be the real issue. Perhaps it's a combination of age, endometrioma, NK cells Confused who knows but we just want our baby now :( I think the IVIG is freaking me a little too, but you had this didn't you Face? I do hope all is well with you, lovely.

A big all encompassing wave to everyone else, will post properly tomorrow.

cartoontrickster · 07/05/2013 16:46

de lurking for nk cell chat. not that I've lurked much.
vits wise same as olives said asprin, vit d. but also preg multi vits plus omega 3. that they wanted me to take from at least 8wks before TTC which is a standard for everyone I believe.
its natural killer cells kitty

BlindKitty · 07/05/2013 12:30

The sun is out now so positively bronzed and a bit pink

What are nk cells? Xxx

GreenOlives · 07/05/2013 11:58

solars You are right in thinking I have high NK cells. The treatment plan for me was prednisilone, vit D and aspirin and it was all on the NHS - they wouldn't have paid for intralipid treatments though, although from what I understand that is only required if you have very high NK cells. I do know that levels due go up and down over time and some ladies who had very high levels were retested and found to have normal levels on the thread I was on. Probably worth having a read there as the ladies have a wealth of info, can't link on my phone but its in Conception and is called something like ttc on prednisilone. Smile

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 06/05/2013 17:56

Ah man, keep please send some bankok weather to samui!!! There's only so much game of thrones we can watch...

keepitgoing · 06/05/2013 13:26

No rain here, or just the odd shower kitty...

BlindKitty · 06/05/2013 12:37

Keep how the f* did you get sunburnt? It's been raining pretty much since we got here :-(

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/05/2013 11:31

keep no real side-effects yet, I've been feeling a bit warm but I don't really think you can call them hot flushes, and I often feel a bit warm the week before AF is due anyway. Next appointment is 2 weeks today, where they will scan me to check nothing has changed with my fibroid and teach me how to do the injections - which I think will begin a day or 2 later.

scarlett sorry your body is still being stubborn. Though I was wondering, if you usually ovulate yourself couldn't you have done the IUI with the stimming, just with a few scans to check when you were likely to ov. Ignore me if that is a really stupid suggestion!

No bank holiday here but it is lovely and sunny, and it was the same yesterday so we were out with friends (at a huge outdoor play arae filled with children, which wouldn't have been my first choice but as they have small children it was OK!)
