keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 06:23

Yes, much better to know early as poss, though of course then time slows down. I am brooking for you, lovely.

cartoontrickster · 09/05/2013 05:40

I really want to be relaxed and happy but...... well we will see.
as I say its early, maybe by 4 days-ish. but I had started to panic knowing really I should be on my meds so decided the sooner I knew for definate the better.

keepitgoing · 09/05/2013 04:01

Oh god face, congratulations! Hope the clinic sort out your meds asap. Hugs, hope you're OK.

GreenOlives · 08/05/2013 21:38

cartoon I didn't start the pred until bfp so don't stress - just get back on the meds asap. I have everything crossed for you. Xx

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 19:50

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 19:28

Fuck Fuck Fuck diffed

Solars · 08/05/2013 17:48

Sorry, been quite busy today but just wanted to respond to Kitty immune issues can be looked at for recurrent miscarriage, recurrent ivf failure and unexplained infertility. I'm at a private clinic and they recommended the immunes blood check because of the failed ivf and the fact I had an endometrioma on my ovary, they cited that it was more likely the case I would have immune issues. My results came back with elevated NK cells but cytokines were all within limits. Privately it costs about £800 to get the bloods done, they send them off to Chicago. Treatment for it is expensive, I'm going to be paying £1500 for my first lot of IVIG and if I get pregnant I may need it again during my pregnancy. A lot of clinics/consultants don't believe immunes being an issue hence not a lot of clinics offer it, there's not a lot of research out there at the moment. But there are clinics out there with great success rates that treat immunes so difficult to ignore. I've literally just received a book I've ordered about the theory and so far it's interesting. I'm trying to get myself all clued up so that we are in fact making the right decision! wish I didn't have to but hey ho

D'oh Sweetie Grin

Thanks again Olives

Hugs Face

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 17:40

my problems are going to be if the NHS consultants find some other reasons for the Mc's I won't know which is right. I'm fucked if we've got updiffed thus month and they say its a genetic problem. sometimes I wish we didn't seem to get preg so easily. but since u have no idea when it if I ovulated its just as likely that we missed it.

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 17:34

be difficult if your clinic won't go for it kitty because you don't want conflicting info or two consultants thinking of completely different action plans.
I'm not sure if there's much in the way of symptoms for you to try and guess! all I know is that some consultants think it can cause recurrent mc or at least be a factor. may be worth getting the tests done to put your mind at rest but I'd wait see how you go with the iui first. I won't lie its very expensive if you can't get it on NHS.

BlindKitty · 08/05/2013 17:13

Cartoon well I'd read something about it on an American site about the 'actual' causes of unexplained infertility. Also, i very rarely get ill, if having a good immune system is actually a sign. Bet my fc won't go for it

Keep I'm 33. Should be hearing about my first iui very soon (hoping I'll have a letter waiting for me for when I get back from holiday)

SweetieTime · 08/05/2013 17:12

Grin Grin Grin doh

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 08/05/2013 17:04

#was not nap

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 08/05/2013 17:03

GrinGrinGrin Sweetie that nap priceless!

Geek with that sort of timing surely your BFP is in the bag Wink

I'm feeling much better today Cups thank you, DD is lovely :):) (can't get used to putting DD and not DS)

keepitgoing · 08/05/2013 15:59

Er, 7.5 months, sweetie, but I like how you just proved your point! :)

SweetieTime · 08/05/2013 15:54

face lovely to see you back, have you had chance to talk to a counsellor about your feelings? Hope you get some answers at your next appointment.

Cup hope all went ok on your last day and a nice rest before you start your new role. Do you have anything planned?

Geek get yourself up for DTD and that ironic BFP

Beedle glad you are ok on the down regging, it just goes to show how different everyone is. Not long now until it all happens for you. I am brooking so hard that it all works out.

My scan is next Tuesday, so that will be the day we find out if it is one or 2 3 or 4 OMG am scared and excited already. I have a new symptom for you all to spot. I have completely lost my marbles, this happened as soon as I got my BFP. I can barely remember my own name anymore. I forget EVERYTHING including way to places I go all the time, words mid sentence and this morning I made coffee in my cereal bowl. It is going to be a long 8.5 months if this continues.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 08/05/2013 15:38

Oh Face no wrist slap from me. I think I understand what you are saying about hope. Although I've no experience of what you have been through. After nearly 3 years of ttc I still get irrationally upset if I think we have missed ovulation as a small part of me thinks that could have been our one chance or if we have a good month & dtd lots (especially if it feels like its been natural and spontaneous) I convince myself ill get my BFP. I'm keeping everything crossed for your next bean to be super super sticky.

Boo I start my new job on the 20th. How's DD doing? Hope your feeling a bit better about things today.

Geek I'm sorry to hear dink boss is getting dinkier. Well done on getting a high at last. Brooking for lots of rat smacking and a quick ovulation Grin

cartoontrickster · 08/05/2013 15:03

thanks keep
hi boo and cups
not sure if I will stay just find the whole thing a bit difficult and perhaps I'm better in my own bubble where I can try and push it all away.
well I seem to have gone completly mad and we have taken several risks this month even though I'm on no meds or anything so would probably be unsuccessful if I was pregnant. but I suddenly got these feelings of hope that maybe just maybe it might be ok without any extra help. I have read stories where this has happened. thing is nk cells change so you just never know. I shall await my wrist slaps. Confused

keepitgoing · 08/05/2013 13:35

face I have high hopes that you'll conceive a sticky perfect one soon after your appointment. Big hugs, it must be so hard :(

keepitgoing · 08/05/2013 13:33

Congratulations on finishing your job cup. AF should stay away, dammit!

kitty I believe that high nk cells usually cause miscarriage, rather than stopping bfp in the first place. Though I guess could cause v early implantation failure. The treatment is expensive and controversial so maybe try a few rounds of assisted conception first, I think you're quite young? But the pred thread is the place to ask.

geek brooking for ov for you!!

ControlGeek · 08/05/2013 13:17

Sorry boo I missed your message Blush I went up to three metformin a day but I'm not a breakfast person so was getting lots of nausea as I couldn't eat enough with the tablet. I'm back down to two a day now and coping fine. Next on the agenda is getting MrG in the mood for lots of nookie, squeezing out a golden egg and cancelling my IVF due to an ironic BFP Wink

ControlGeek · 08/05/2013 13:14

Just a quickie as busy at work again today - I don't mind so much as I've just found out that my overtime will be coming through in this month's wages yay!

cups that's come round so quick! Sorry you've not really got the best of weather for your break but hopefully you can recharge your batteries ready for your new job. I am sure they will be a lovely bunch of people and you will make good friends in no time. Brooking that AF stays away if she knows what's good for her

beedle yay for four day weekends Grin Brooking that your boss sees sense about your time off, but if not maybe just explain that it's 'something medical' without going into details? Long may the downregging give you no grief.

keep I think you're right about the combinations of things possibly being the key. There are so many things that have an effect that if each is out by just a little then the cumulative effect could be pretty big.

I got my first CBFM high this morning, but I'm not sure whether to believe it or not as it was super-strong wee. At the very least hopefully it means my hormones are building up for ov. Looking at my FF charts, I'm following a pattern which means I may ovulate in 6 days. If I do, then I get to call the clinic and start my IVF cycle just before the end of May yay!!!

Dink boss is being a dink (again) so I am looking forward to taking the morning off for a scan every other day for a couple of weeks. I still haven't been able to talk to him about my appointments because the stoopid dink holds all our 121s in the canteen so there is no privacy to talk. He tried to bring it up yesterday with loads of people around and I refused to discuss it until he booked us a proper meeting room. Grrr!
