Not a video of you peeing, that is a bit TMI but a video of the lines appearing on the stick after the peeing.

SweetieTime · 10/04/2013 11:39

Morning all, sorry for the delay I have been waiting for the negative aura to pass!!! I think I am getting there only just So thanks for the fertilisation dancing it obviously worked, 4 of the 5 are fertilised and going strong. So they have booked me for transfer Friday afternoon (day 3). They will grade the embies tomorrow and discuss what we/they plan to do. I was worried that they would just bung back whatever but they have assured me we should have at least one worth putting back. They have sent me a stats sheet of what chances each day of transfer carries and what risk of multiple birth. This has actually made me feel much more positive so I am starting to get my head around things again.

So what is everyone else up to????

Beedle will your grads pee stick have arrived tomorrow for you to pee on? Are we having a group web cam of the actual event? I am surprised Channel 5 haven't picked up on this trend they seem to do everything else of bad taste Good luck for tomorrow, I so hope you will be confirming what we all know.

Scarlett so lovely to see you. I have reacted so much worse this time than I did with my own eggs. It is really strange, I almost felt like I was grieving yesterday for what could been. I am not sure it makes any sense but until you have been through it no one can say how you will react. Sorry you are having such a tough time of it too and DH isn't helping you with the decision.

Great to hear Imps is still around, has anyone seen anything from Biscuits lately either?

Geek I always find work pregnancy announcements very difficult, but have yet to come across a round of applause!!! As Boo says I don't think she had struggled as she would have been more sensitive otherwise.

Solars did you ever tell us about Italy? How was it?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/04/2013 11:38

I like your ideas :o I will buy that domain name now (or whatever it is you do to get your own website)

I think a video of the peeing in a ramekin might be going a bit far though Shock

Let me just check if www.beedlespositivepeestick.com is available...

Yep, surprisingly nobody is using that so it is free for lots of pictures of said pee stick and maybe a video of the actual stick dipping so we can watch those lines appear You can email a link to everyone you know and we could put it on fb too :o

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/04/2013 10:51

Beedle we should arrange a skyped round of applause for you too Grin

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/04/2013 10:44

sorry no news here, I'll test again tomorrow - and then when I get a positive peestick I'll pee on 10 more so I can send one to each of you to admire. You can pm your addresses :o :o

Brooks for the eggs> come on eggies fertilise. Call, clinic, call!

Scarlett sorry your dh isn't being more helpful. I'd say a month off can't hurt, can it? In terms of physical things. If you're not champing at the bit then it might be good to give it a while.

beedle...?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 10/04/2013 09:04

Beedle I nearly forgot! Any news? Or are you holding out until tomorrow?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 10/04/2013 09:01

Come on Sweeties eggs!!!! Brooking for 5 lovely looking fertilised eggs. Good luck my dear.

Hi Scarlett so nice to see you. It's a tough decision to make, I know it's really hard to "miss" a month as I also feel that we only have limited opportunities. But I sincerely think that you need to be in the right mindset to undergo any form of assisted conception. It's a big thing to put your body through, if your mind doesn't feel ready. I guess what I'm saying is if you really feel you need a break then you have to give yourself permission to do that. I remember reading a post a while back from a frequent poster in conception who was really apprehensive about starting an IVF cycle. She had a terrible time during DR and ended up cancelling her cycle herself. Good luck with whatever you decide x

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/04/2013 08:59

Just read back, sorry Scarlet wasn't ignoring you, I'm 37 weeks this week and no sign of booby shifting. The eviction process is starting next week [eek]

Geek hope you have a more peaceful day at work.

Still Brooking for you Sweetie, what time will the clinic make the call?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/04/2013 08:39

Adding some Brooking for good news Sweetie

Brooking for Sweetie's eggs to fertilise...

ScarlettInSpace · 10/04/2013 07:49

Morning all, sweetie I hope you're feeling a it better today. I think IVF puts so much pressure on us that we can never manage our expectations properly as its so emotional. I'd bite your hand off for 5 good eggs lol! I'm sure it will be fine, good luck for the call today, I was on a knife edge the morning after EC so I feel your pain x

boo have you not bloody dropped booby yet ffs?? Are you one if these weird women who likes being diffed? Wink

Big hugs to maybe beedle geek cups keep solars, face if you're lurking I hope you are doing ok, and did I see imps posting lately Grin Grin ummmm jen and bartlett I think I've seen too, sorry if i missed anyone...

AFM I'm on CD17 of the weirdest cycle ever, I've had every type of CM including a couple of days of Gushington Central lol - but none of the hallowed EW variety and I usually get that every month without fail, p'raps my body has given up altogether now and I'm going to be one of those lucky ladies who goes into menopause in my 30's Sad

So I don't think I ov'd this month, But I guess if I'm not capable of natural conception I don't suppose it matters! I'm due on next weekend so should be starting the IUI then but I think I'm going to put it off until June, I just think I need a break but I also feel like my chances decrease with every passing month they goes by though, so maybe i should just get started as planned, what does everyone think? OH is useless, he says it's up to me Hmm

BeedlesPineNeedles · 10/04/2013 07:07

At least you manage to skulk at the back geek . Though I am still slightly confused at the person who started the clapping. Why???

I'm brooking for good fertilisation news this morning sweetie so that we can start the divide embryo divide dance.

ControlGeek · 09/04/2013 22:49

Good point well made boo Sad

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 09/04/2013 21:47

Bloody woman, so you are talking about 37 women of child baring age and she does that. She must have been one that got pg quite fast or by accident because anyone who has had even a minute of struggling ttc wouldn't have done that.

ControlGeek · 09/04/2013 21:41

Thanks boo that was my thinking. She was leading up a work's group of about 30-40 of us, mostly 20-40 year olds (only 3 blokes in the whole group) so chances are at least one, not counting me, could well have been struggling ttc. I know of at least one other lady in the company who struggled to get her first, and is now going through IVF to try and get her second.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 09/04/2013 21:15

Well that is not quite as bad, but still she could been a bit more discreet about it.

ControlGeek · 09/04/2013 20:56

x-post boo to be fair, the person making the announcement kind of did it off the cuff in a spur of the moment type thing because she was jumping about like a mad thing then had to explain why she had just jabbed herself in the stomach with a popped-open safety pin but it was just that everyone else made such a hoo-haa about it. I have to admit to standing at the back of the room, begrudgingly clapping with everyone one else so as not to appear ingracious, muttering to myself 'ffs'. I don't honestly know her situation and she may have been trying for years for all I know. It was just the whole applaud thing that got to me.

ControlGeek · 09/04/2013 20:52

cups I've had counselling twice previously, un-ttc related and about different things each time. The only time that was helpful was when I was honest with myself (and the counsellor). The other time was more a case of going through the motions so it wasn't particularly helpful. Is yours through work or through the clinic?

sweetie I'm so sorry today has been so tough for you. But remember, you only got one egg last time and it fertilised beautifully. Now, you have five. It's fab that they were able to tell you that the donor's previous donation was successful, especially if it was recent. Brooking like billy-o for a positive outcome this cycle for you. ICSI must have been a bit of a shock for DH, but apart from cost I think it's really positive. It gives you a greater chance of fertilisation (from what little I've read), and means they can pick the very best looking sperm for the job (a kind of Mr Universe of the sperm world).

solars it's really lovely to have you back, did you have a nice break?

beedle I dare you - when your time comes (which will be very soon), pass your pee stick round asking 'can you see anything? I'm not sure...'

I had a bit of a double whammy today. Not only was there the pg announcement from hell (complete with applause) but when I got back to my desk this afternoon there was a massive 'congratulations on the birth of your new son' card waiting for me to sign. I didn't even know anyone in the team had given birth Confused

I have been a bit mean to MrG. I haven't told him that I suspect ov to have happened. He is working hard to make sure his boys are working hard, iykwim Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 09/04/2013 20:46

Brooking like a crazy person Sweetie

Geek may I congratulate you on not shoving a stapler up her nose, applause indeed. I read a thread on here the other day about gender reveal party's, when will the madness end Hmm

Beedle obviously a faulty stick being used there, just you wait and see the difference a brooker stick will make :):)

Solars · 09/04/2013 20:35

Oh Sweetie 5 is still plenty and as everyone is saying it only takes one but I'm certain they'll all fertilise with the rest to freeze, hugs to both you and DH.

Cups your counselling session sounds so positive. I never took up the free session we were offered at our last ivf clinic mainly because of having to go all the way to Oxford plus DH wanted to come and we could never coordinate a time.

Geek now that is the strangest thing ever, really an applause well done you for coping with that!
