Have you amended your spread sheet Geek, we would have for it to be wrong Grin

ControlGeek · 16/04/2013 13:12

keep yay!!! I'm sorry you were freaked, but hopefully the scan has put your mind at ease. So, you now have a heartbeat on board that is slightly baby shaped Grin How did telling your and DH's parents go? Are you looking forward to telling siblings?

solars would they test for HCG as a matter of course? Might it be worth a little PIAR just in case?

cup brooking that you don't get as far as your third cycle, and that your next one is all systems go (if you don't get your ironic BFP before then of course). Yay for the new job! Is there any chance your current job might offer you garden leave when you hand your notice in? I love a good notice-handing-in, I do!

Well, we hit another milestone in the journey to being able to afford mat leave today, we have both cancelled our mobile phone contracts and are moving on to PAYG. Every little helps, as the saying goes!

Solars · 16/04/2013 11:19

Cups how great about the new job. I'm brooking you get to start next cycle. I hope I can start straight away but just depends on the immune blood results, it can delay things if I need further treatment for that, although if they're not too bad they give you treatment during your cycle. They said that due to my endometrioma it is quite likely there may be an immune issue for me. I'm getting my bloods done for the immunes next week when I go in for my scan.

keepitgoing · 16/04/2013 11:02

We have told parents today, siblings tomorrow :)

Oh cup so its either four or eight weeks, ish. Brooking for four. Great timing on the job BTW... Wink I love handing in my notice, so liberating!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 16/04/2013 10:37

Woo Hoo Keep fantastic scan news!!! Are you and DH going to tell your family now?

Beedle at our appointment DH had to decide what would happen to any of our frosties in case of divorce/death. He signed to say I could still have them which I thought was quite sweet and a bit morbid

Geek it's too early my dear, brooking for a BFP in a few days Grin

Kitty a holiday sounds great. I thinks it's really good to step back from ttc every now and again.

Solars so what happens after the monitored cycle? Will you start straight away? If so me, you and Beedle could all be doing IVF at the same time.

Sweetie how are you doing? Are you back at work yet?

I'll need to request treatment again next AF, they can turn me down again but they must accept me on the third request. I'm really hoping it will happen next month, I was gutted when they said no. Looking on FF forum there is a real mix of when people get accepted so fingers crossed for next time.
As for other news I start my new job in 5 weeks! I'm so excited/nervous. I'm going to hand in my notice this week!

Solars · 16/04/2013 09:04

Keep excellent scan news!

Kitty the break sounds like a great idea, anywhere nice?

Good luck for tomorrow Beedle

Geek way too early but hope you're feeling better.

I may have PIAR but the clinic took my bloods yesterday and I'm sure they would have picked up anything strange with my hormone profile then but all was normal Confused I'm thinking it has something to do with the ayurvedic herbs I took.

keepitgoing · 16/04/2013 08:50

It was only a tiny bit of blood, but I assumed the worst, of course... 7+4 woo hoo.

Can't wait for more brooking bfps!

GenericDietCola · 16/04/2013 08:44

Yay keep you are an USEPP!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/04/2013 08:42

sorry about the scary bleed keep but woohoo a heartbeat congratulations :o :o Thanks

keepitgoing · 16/04/2013 08:14

It was meant to be Thursday but I had a little blood yesterday and freaked out and moved it earlier. But all is great, we saw the heartbeat, and it looks a bit like a baby!! I'm in shock, think I'd convinced myself it was bad news but now maybe I'll let myself start to believe I'm pregnant :)

sweetie I'm SO pleased you have a frostie to make a sibling for the twins once you have the energy...

beedle we had to say who got to decide on any frosties if we split up or one of us dies. But it'd be weird for mrkeep to find a surrogate...
geek, too early. Slap wrist.

solars, one word. smegs...

ControlGeek · 16/04/2013 07:38

Sorry beedle, curiosity got the better of me. BFN (but it was only 9DPO, what the heck was I thinking?) Wow at the law stating your embies have to be destroyed in the case of death or split-up. I'm so relieved that's not the case here what with MrG being 59 and me being no spring chicken myself

keep oooh it's today!!! For some reason I thought it was tomorrow. What will you see today? Will you see the heartbeat?

kitty A break sounds like just what the dr ordered. With luck, you'll be bringing home more than you went with, iyswim :)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/04/2013 07:30

so geek crazy high temps and feeling over-emotional? PIAR girl!

and solars strangely light period? the same goes to you!

MrB was rather shocked at coming home to find 3 letters from the health authority last night. But one was the bill for my smear, one was my thyroid results (fine apparently) and the third was a whole load of stuff and questionnaires for our IVF. I had a quick read through and apparently any frozen embryoes must be destroyed if we spilt up or either of us die (its the law). I can kind of understand, its a bit gruesome to think of your children being born after you have died but I was still slightly shocked and I had better not bump off MrB yet :o

keepitgoing · 16/04/2013 04:44

Hi soph! Good to see you. Jiaj is jizz in a pot (for sperm analysis).

beedle I stimmed for only eight days, which is quick. Triggered cd11, EC cd13. I normally grow my follow big and fast then ovulate cd14-15 (have wondered if this is an issue). Good luck for tomorrow.

cup that's so annoying you can't start this month! Was it the third month they have to say yes?

I have my scan in just over an hour. Terrified.

BlindKitty · 15/04/2013 21:08

beedles solars cupcakes geek sweetie HEY GUYS!!!!! I'm good thanks! Afraid I don't have any special 'news' to tell you just yet! Decided to listen to Mr Kitty and gives MN a rest as he thinks it makes me worse. Turns out, it doesn't haha so I'm back!!!!

I've de-nurseryfied the nursery (its not just a cream room that makes me even more sad)

Oh and I've booked a hol (for next month) so fingers crossed I'll be sooo relaxed and shagging so much I'm bound to get pregnant yeh right

beedle sorry to hear about AF Sad. What jiaj? x

ControlGeek · 15/04/2013 20:53

Sorry boo I missed you out!!! Have a (((hug))) in the hope that it will kick-start your sneezebirth!

ControlGeek · 15/04/2013 20:49

soph/kitty lovely to see you back! How is everything with you now?

beedle bugger to AF. BUT! Wednesday is just around the corner, and your BFP will be not far behind it. Poor MrB having to do more JIAJ though.

sweetie oooohhhh you got frostie!!! You are absolutely right, it is quality over quantity every time. I find it utterly amazing that 60% of the eggs collected didn't just fertilise but are still, to this day, little tiny human beings (albeit one's a bit chilly now).

cups nooo not you too :( bloody AF, and bloody clinic not being able to fit you in. Brooking for your miracle BFP though. Are you guaranteed a place next time?

solars dammit how can AF get to so many brookers at once? But you say it's a bit light? Could you be doing a smeg? Congratulations on starting your monitoring cycle, and I'm very impressed that you will get your AMH results back in a few days. Mine were 6-8 weeks.

Thank you for letting me rant on Saturday. I don't know what's been the matter with me this weekend, I've been bursting into tears at the drop of a hat. Temps have been crazy high so maybe I'm going in for a cold. I've got another 5 days before I am due to test ha! who am I trying to kid? Since when has that stopped me? or no doubt I would have caved by now, things have been so weird.

Solars · 15/04/2013 18:00

Sweetie excellent news on the the blasto! How are you feeling today?

I'm a cycle buddy too with you both Cups & Beedle AF arrived on Saturday too, however mine has been quite worryingly light this month. I'd go with what Cups has said about ivf, really depends on what protocol you're on and how you respond. I think I stimmed for 12 days.

Welcome back Kitty how are you? Where are you with everything?

Brooking for your BFP this month Cups shame they couldn't fit you in this month, do you know which protocol you will be on?

So I have kicked off my monitoring cycle today, got my results back already and all looks good, fsh of 8.3 so I'm happy and they've booked me in for my mid cycle scan next Wednesday. They also took my bloods for my amh but will get those results in a few days time. So far I'm impressed with the clinic, always call back when they say they will and very polite too even though it seems so hectic when you go there.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/04/2013 17:27

Hi Sweetie that's great news that you have got a blastie for the freezer Grin

Beedle it depends on the protocol and how you respond. Short protocol is similar to a normal cycle length and long protocol can be between 6-8 weeks. At my clinic for long protocol you call on 1st day of AF & go in for a baseline scan in first few days. You then start down regging on day 21. That can go on for about 2 weeks. Then you move to stimms which is around 10-12 days. Then you get your trigger shot and they give you a day for EC. Then ET on day 2, 3 or 5. I think that's how it works anyway Blush

I'm sorry AF arrived, if its any consolation we are cycle buddies as the bitch turned up here on Saturday afternoon Confused I called the clinic to request treatment & they can't fit me in this month as they already have too many people cycling so I've got another chance for a miracle BFP.

Kitty long time no see! How are things with you?

SweetieTime · 15/04/2013 16:51

Hey Kitty nice to see you again, I didn't recognise you in the new guise!! How are things going for you?

Beedle boo hiss at AF arrival, but yeah hey for the clinic appointment. You defo need to warm MrB up for his bit as he may need to do another JIAJ before the real one. My DH found it really hard or not IYKWIM the more he had to do. I think I did 9 days stims, day 10 nothing, EC day 11. They force ovulation with the trigger shot, which they tell you to take when those follies are ripe at 17mm+. Once you are going on the stims they scan you every couple of days to monitor the follies and how fast they are growing. HTH.

Well both our remaining embies made it to Blasto, but they have only frozen the strongest as the other was poor quality throughout. But I am amazed that the eggs did so well. I was sooooo upset on Tuesday when we only got 5, I couldn't see that we would get any to freeze. So it just goes to show, we might to have got this far with 10 eggs. It really is quality over quantity.

Very quiet in here at the moment, hope everyone else is ok and just enjoying the Spring!!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/04/2013 11:05

sweetie hope your little embies are making themselves comfy. Did you get good news about freezing the other 2?

kitty how is everything with you?

geek hope you're speaking to MrG again.

There was no ironic BFP here, AF showed up on Sat am. But I'm looking forward to our apointment on Wed. I explained to MrB the basic idea of IVF because he hasn't bothered to read anything about it. and I told him to start preparing himself mentally for more JIAJ :o

For those of you that already have some IVF experience, how long did you stim for? and how does that compare with when you ovulate on a normal cycle?

Hope everyone else is well

BlindKitty · 13/04/2013 20:41

Hi Guys, long time no speak! Its Soph80 with a makeover!

Geek - he was prob just thinking out loud and not thought of the consequences. I know I often think its all about me but our men suffer just as much :-( Agree you should tell him how you feel but don't let it turn into an argument x

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 13/04/2013 20:29

Oh Geek {{{hugs}}} bloody men Angry I second talking to him when you feel up to it, and explain why it upset you. Especially after the surgery and recovery you have been through ready to get your BFP.

SweetieTime · 13/04/2013 20:10

Geek I think you hit nail on head about men not engaging brain before speaking. I am sure he would be upset if he realised how insensitive his comments are. Try to not dwell too much as I am sure he doesn't mean that. Have a chat when you are calmer and explain how his comment made you feel. Anyway we all know you will get your DC, Brooking no argument.

Hope you are ok {{{hugs}}}

ControlGeek · 13/04/2013 16:33

Fuck fuck fuck. Got to have a rant on here as I daren't let MrG see me upset. We were unpacking boxes (yes, still, 18 months after the move) and came across a remote control dune buggy and action men of mine from years ago. I said I might as well freecycle them, and MrG just says out of the blue 'it's a shame you couldn't have given them to your son'. FFS. Why is it so impossible for men to engage brain before working gob sometimes? I just stared at him and tried to pretend he hadn't said it. He'll get all miffed and upset if he knew I was still upset about it now. I efel so stupid for getting so emotional about such a silly comment. I'm not normally like this until the day before AF's due. Right, got to pull myself together. He'll be back from the shops any minute. GRRRRRRRR. Sorry.
