Ooh yes to candy crush. Hours, you can lose. Hours!

RubberBullets · 19/04/2013 15:57

Sweetie you need to start playing a really addictive game. Hours can pass like minutes :) Candy Crush Saga and 4 Pics 1 Word seem to be the popular ones at the moment.

keepitgoing · 19/04/2013 15:40

sweetie worrying will not do anything, that's crazy talk. So that's one less thing to worry about. Ok, Wednesday, five days. You can do it. I like sofa shopping BTW.. x

ControlGeek · 19/04/2013 14:15

oh sweetie I've only just had time to read the thread, and can't really add anything to what the others have already said. I hope you're able to distract yourself until DH comes home. Sofa shopping sounds nice. I really wish I could give you a huge hug.

Sorry I dont have time to post more, work is manic (as usual) today. AF will be with me either later today or tomorrow, so I will make sure I sit on her very hard so she can't bother sweetie

SweetieTime · 19/04/2013 13:12

Thanks all for your understanding and such positive comments. I think I will be better this weekend when DH is home to occupy me. We have quite a few plans so I think this will help the time pass. We are going looking for a new sofa, boring I know but it should take my mind off things.

Solars I have been working from home trying to get most things out of the way in the mornings so I can do my relaxation CD on an afternoon. I have been using rescue remedy, suggested by my reflexologist, and lavender scented candles. I agree I am now at a point where there is very little else I can do. Just just hope the anxiety won't have a negative impact on the result. I am sure others who have had a nervous 2ww have gone on to get their BFP.

keep thanks for your reassuring post, being a recently confirmed IVF preggo I am sure it is all fresh in your mind what we actually go through. I have a couple Superdrug tests, which people seem to rate, so will see how mental I am early next week. I was sort of thinking of POAS Wed which would 16dpEC, but might crack even earlier. Like you say though a negative test would be difficult but I will take it a day at a time.

Cup I found/find the waiting really tough too. I know when I was on the drugs before I knew what was happening I just hated it. Is it the control freaks in us that makes us like this? I almost found it reassuring that we needed assistance, it sort of took the pressure off the trying every month and we went back to just SFF, do you remember those heady days?

Very unMN hugs back to all of you ThanksThanksThanks

Solars · 19/04/2013 11:11

Oh Sweetie I agree with what everyone else has said. When I was on my 2ww for ivf I worked in the mornings and would give myself some sort of treat in the afternoon, I used my relaxation cd a lot especially during the afternoons and before sleeping, you had one too, right? and I also watched a lot of movies and read which helped to keep the crazy away. But I also kept repeating in my head that I've done everything possible up until now and it's in the hands of fate what happens next. Also it helped thinking it's not time to worry yet a phrase my mum always used to say Big hugs.

keepitgoing · 19/04/2013 10:40

sweetie, lovely, it's so hard. OK, I had very sore boobs, but I had had them ever since stimming so I had to discount them. I did feel womb cramps a couple of days I think, but they are easy to mix up with bowel stuff.

Basically I felt normal, as everyone said. And anything I might have had could have come from the fanny candles, so I tried to force myself not to think about it.

I had a transfer on 5dpo, and otd was 14dpo, so I only had nine days to wait. Its harder for you, not knowing for longer. I think testing at 14dpo is reasonable IF you use a good test - as you know I had a crappy boots one.

I almost gave in on 12dpo, but dh was right that a potential false negative would be v bad. I guess I thought there was plenty of time to be sad after otd, so I really just focused on that.

But, of course, if you read my posts back there is plenty of crazy, and the night before otd I cried and said I didn't want to test. Actually that was d8 after transfer, so where you are now.

If you test at 14dpo you have only four days to wait. I always think once you wee your FMU it's easier not to test as you can tell yourself it'd be too weak.

I promise promise you that you can't guess the result. I kept thinking of one of the girls on the egg buddies thread who was 100% sure it hadn't worked - had had a few things then woke up one day and nothing. But she had a bfp.

Start your countdown, keep busy, and know that we are all here cheering you on xxxxx

Sweetie (((hugs))) I think Beedle and Boo have said it all really. Most people have no real symptoms before their BFPs. I can't imagine what you are feeling and I'm sure like Beedle says we will be the same in the tww. I think Keep didn't really have any symptoms either. Trying to keep yourself busy is the only thing you can do x

I've been feeling really low too ever since the clinic turned us down for treatment this month. I don't know why I feel so terrible, I mean its only another 4 weeks until we can request again. I honestly feel like I can't face another AF. I don't even want to DTD as I feel like if I do ill spend another 2ww obsessing about being pg even though we have practically no chance of it happening. God I'm totally crazy, it's all I can think of. Please feel free to slap some sense into me Confused

RubberBullets · 19/04/2013 09:47

Sweetie the only symptom I had was AF not appearing. It's not guaranteed that you will have any so please don't feel that it has all gone wrong.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/04/2013 09:24

Oh Sweetie I am sorry to hear you're having an anxious time of it, though it is completely understandable! At this very early stage I would be surprised if you had many symptoms, the consensus over on grads has been at about the 6 week+ time. Is there anything distracting you can do in the mean time? {{{Hugs}}} Thanks

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/04/2013 09:07

sweetie sorry you're feeling so anxious. I'm afraid I don't have any words of wisdom, I imagine I will be exactly the same in 2 months time. But nothing you do at the moment will have any bad effect on your little embryoes (assuming you're not planning to take some hard drugs or go skydiving). So I'd say try to find something you can do that will stop you thinking about it even if its just for 10 mins. I'm sure your lack of symptoms can in no way mean that it has failed . And whilst some people may say that they knew they were preganant from 4dpo, I'm sure that for 99% of them it is just a few random things that they realise about afterwards. Over the last 2 years I've had and I'm sure you've had almost all the apparent early pregnancy symtoms but it didn't mean anything. And we all know that no symptoms is a symptom.
And finally don't worry about being me me me ((hugs))

Sorry I haven't been around last few days I have been feeling very anxious about things, rising panic most of the time. I was really positive to start with, everything seemed to be going well. I had a few cramps Mon & Tues and sore boobs for a few days but now nothing. I am trying to stay positive but just feel no different so am expecting the worst. I hardly slept last night for worrying. I have another week to go until OTD but am thinking of testing next week just to put myself out of this misery.

Keep how did you feel at this stage d8 after transfer, I know you had a d5 transfer though. What day was your OTD? How did you stop yourself from mentalling all the time as you didn't test early did you? You must be made of stern stuff.

Sorry this is all me me me!!!

keepitgoing · 19/04/2013 03:47

Also face good luck for your appointment soon.

kitty I just realised you meant you're coming here, not solars/geek. I live in bangkok, if you would like to meet up let me know!

keepitgoing · 19/04/2013 03:44

Huh?! Have I missed something? A brookers visit to Thailand? Amazing.

beedle that's great you get plenty of chances. I'd say you can get three frosties, we did. It sounds like a plan - positive but not expecting.

I was thinking of maybe yesterday. Isn't she starting vvv soon?

BlindKitty · 18/04/2013 21:49

solars and geek going to Thailand...can't wait!!!! Really need to spend some quality time with Mr B! Been so pre-occupied on getting pregnant, I've forgotten all about my husband and that he's not just a sperm provider

Sweetie Using MN does not make me worse FACT!!! NOT using OPKs makes me stressed FACT!!! and BBT'ing does not stress me out FACT!!! Wish people would stop telling me what makes me stressed lol!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/04/2013 18:40

Yes keep 3 goes with up to 3 FET from each as if I'll manage to freeze 3 eggs I did actually say the same thing to Mrb just so that he didn't think i was guaranteed to get pregnant at the first attempt. Anyway I'm going for feeling positive whilst not actually expecting it to work.

I haven't seen maybe lately, is she having a break whilst waiting for IVF?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 18/04/2013 10:42

beedle there's no harm in positive thinking. But ivf should I think be seen as a three round thing if possible. I think you get quite a few goes?

My niece is actually ridiculously gorgeous. Am slightly worried no baby could be as cute, but dh assures me that's where parental bias comes in.

sweetie how are you doing, lovely?

GreenOlives · 18/04/2013 08:17

*definitely (or maybe even by 75%) Grin

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/04/2013 06:40

geek excellent news about MrGeek's son

solars good luck to MrSolars today, hope it goes better this time

sparks 31 weeks, how did that happen? Shock

keep how cute is your niece? I also dream about telling my family I'm finally pregnant. Our first cycle of IVF will nicely coincide with a trip back to England to tell everyone if we suceed. I'm varying betwen being really excited about starting and then feeling that I shouldn't get my hopes up as the first attempt is more likely to fail than suceed.

And in other good news my brooking pee-sticks arrived yesterday from the lovely olives which should increase my IVf chances by at least 50%* :o

*probably

geek that's weird but brilliant about the email!

Good luck to mrsolars today. I'm glad he's wanting it as much as you but know what you mean it's hard to see. The other day when I had a spot of blood mrk had a tear in his eye and I could tell he was really scared. I don't know why I was surprised, we're prob just more vocal, I guess.

You guys are sweet to ask my 'telling' stories. I dreamt about it all every month too. We've kept it simple - just blurted it out really. I don't need gimmicks or anything. We're doing it over Skype. It's hard with the time difference and people at work and me going to bed so early so we still have my and dh brothers. Told my sister who went hypersonic and squealed, and cried... She asked my 2yo niece if it's a girl or boy, it's a boy, apparently :) she has a 100% success rate so far - she guessed my sister's correctly. So there you go!

Oh Geek that is fantastic!! So pleased for Mr G :)

ControlGeek · 17/04/2013 20:05

Of all the weird coincidences, MrG just popped on to send an 'are you ok' email to his son, only to find a long email from him waiting for him in his in-box, sent just after 6pm tonight. Spooky! and hugely relieved

ControlGeek · 17/04/2013 18:21

beedle glad MrB is getting his head around it all. Hopefully, now that the process has been started, he'll not find it so hard and won't have too many opportunities to put things off Glad to hear you're still able to squeeze in your ironic BFP before IVF though!

sparks 31 weeks?? Where on earth has that time gone? Thank you for your kind words and advice (and to everyone else, too) about MrG's children.

MrG emails them both every fortnight even if there is no reply, but we're too nervous to suggest another meet with the son just yet. An open offer was made to him in the first email MrG sent after the meet, so we were just going to leave it at that rather than seem to be putting pressure on. Before the meet-up, MrG and son were emailing on a daily basis, sometimes two or three times a day. I'm thinking of suggesting MrG send him a quick note tonight just asking if everything is ok. What do you all think?

c'mon boo, hide that sausage bounce that ball! We're all dying to see your booby Grin

Rubber I will do my best Grin Perhaps I should do another test tomorrow morning, just to get the faulty batch used up, y'know!

solars the very best of luck for MrS's JIA re-run tomorrow. Well done on the anti-soapgate coaching. Brooking that you get an excellent result back and that that was just a one-off. I think it's ever so lovely that he's as keen for the BFP as you. Sometimes I get scared MrG is only still plugging away because I want this so badly.

cup hahaha I love that my spreadsheet has people in awe of it, I had no idea I was doing anything unusual or out of the ordinary when I created it. It's such a 'me' thing to do. 3.5 years is a fair old time - I bet there's always something new to learn with the NHS, too.

Right, I'm off to give my faulty pee sticks a pep-talk for tomorrow morning!
