This is really just to pass the time of a 2ww. I can't test until at least Sunday and although I know I can't possibly detect any symptoms until at least then (or if not after), can you lot please come and tell me what "symptoms" you watch out for?

I've heard stuff about a runny nose, grumbly tum, headaches etc etc and my rational side knows that these would be either coincidental or just imagined at this stage- but would help me pass the time!

So, what vvv early pregnancy symptoms do you look out for?

hello, can I join in?
Can also test on Sunday! What's going on here, eh?
Tingling boobs, feeling sick on and off and a colleague commented on how much I was eating today. Oops. Really tired too. Of course, this could all be PMS and the result of a very busy weekend. Oh, and slightly dodgy tummy too. Trying not to get excited...but I am!

TobyLerone · 20/03/2013 20:10

I'm exactly with you, Kuma. 8dpo, testing 27th.

Metallic mouth, off and on nausea. Both alleviated by eating something. I've had this before, though, and it's been nothing.

Also, my brain has been like a sieve today! I forgot to buy light bulbs in town, went to Sainsbury's to buy them, got the wrong ones, went back to swap them and bloody well left them there!

IamKuma · 20/03/2013 19:50

I'm 8dpo today and had cramps most of the day yesterday, which got really bad when I went to bed although they have gone today. Good old 2ww rollercoaster!

I've also felt bloated and a bit windy and have been in a terrible mood which usually only happens right when AF starts. Poor DH has had his head snapped off twice when rationally I know I have been completely unreasonable.

Going to try and wait to POAS until 27th...

RubySlippers77 · 20/03/2013 18:38

minicc - sorry to hear that :(

I still have period like pains although nothing else to report at the moment other than being tired and grumpy, but that's nothing out of the ordinary!! Ordered some pregnancy tests from Amazon (v cheap by the way) so will use one probably on Saturday if nothing's happened by then.

And now I am off for a lie down and a snooze!

minicc · 20/03/2013 07:07

Think I'm out this month... Pmt and period pains are the order of the day today :-( fingers crossed for you all!

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 19:43

Yup it's possible although I think it's rare!!! But good luck to you!!!!!! Fingers crossed... You never know! Xx

IrnBruTheNoo · 19/03/2013 18:51

Some women conceive their DC on CD1 or CD2. It can happen! Have been reading up on this today.

RubySlippers77 · 19/03/2013 18:44

I've convinced myself I have the period pains too. I mean I do have some crampy pains, but I'd probably think nothing of it if I hadn't started looking up other symptoms!

Dear oh dear. It's going to be a long wait till Saturday with me wondering about this every waking moment.....

TobyLerone · 19/03/2013 15:31

My mouth has tasted metallic since Friday (CD18). I'm now at CD22 and the only time it doesn't taste like that is when I'm eating!

Also sore boobs, but that's normal.

Testing on 27th.

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 14:13

Well u could be having ovulation pains/cramps ... So carry on dtd! Wink

IrnBruTheNoo · 19/03/2013 14:08

Nope, have just DTD, no idea when I ovulate. Hope you are all lucky this month! :)

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 14:04

IrnBru maybe you're ovulating early? Do you know when you usually ov?

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 14:03

Well anything is possible!!!!
We NEVER dtd on CD1... I don't even want to be looked at! Lol Grin

IrnBruTheNoo · 19/03/2013 13:55

That's what I thought gilly, but I don't normally get cramps after AF has left...Yep, CD1 as in the first day of AF.

minicc · 19/03/2013 13:45

REALLY clutching at straws here, but, sciatica?! Shooting down my r thigh, it's horrid! I've just pinged something, haven't i?!!

RubySlippers77 · 19/03/2013 12:47

BankWuggery - thank you for the list! I'm probably going to start imagining even more of them now though!!

I do have a runny nose but then I usually do as our office is freezing, I feel like a Labrador (very wet nose!) most of the time...

It's going to be a long wait till Saturday!! Thank you ladies for keeping me entertained (and hopefully sane!) in the meantime!

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 12:29

Cd1 as in the first day of your period? And now you're on cd9?
Doubt it... It's HIGHLYunlikely to ovulate at the same time as AF!

IrnBruTheNoo · 19/03/2013 12:20

DTD on CD1 and been feeling very crampy (currently on CD9) and nauseous. Can't possibly be pregnant surely on CD1?!

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 11:44

Don't forget the vivid dreams! I've heard that can be a symptom too?

I always dream anyway.. Every night... But the last few nights dreams have been crazzzzzyyy and so vivid!

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 11:41

I've had a very bunged up nose and phlegmmy throat for the last few days! This morning I've spent a lot of time coughing up a lot of... Gunk! Nose is totally blocked. Blehhhh.

BankWuggery · 19/03/2013 11:32

Gilly that sounds promising! I had period pains last night too. And couldn't finish my dinner (so so unlike me Wink) All my "symptoms" though are so easily explained by something else. Only one that has me really thinking is my stuffy nose. Its not runny, I don't have masses of bogies (soz tmi) but is just blocked. Also this morning my gob tasted vile - but of course it would, my nose is blocked so I've been sleeping with my mouth open! So bloody annoying.

So what "symptoms" are we all on the look out for then?

  1. Stuffy nose
  2. Periody type pains
  3. Bumpy rash- oestrogen surge (good one agendabender, thats one Ive not heard before so will be on the look out for it now!)
  4. Nausea
  5. Tiredness
  6. Nasty taste in mouth
  7. Early morning waking
  8. Scuzzy cervical mucous
  9. Weepy/emotional
10. Sore boobs 11. Headaches

Come on ladies what else!

OP posts:
RubySlippers77 · 19/03/2013 07:44

I think I'll do a test on Saturday if nothing's happened by then - it's probably the earliest I'll be able to get to a pound shop anyway to buy a test!! Not feeling quite so emotional today though so who knows!

gilly86 · 19/03/2013 07:26

7dpo today (I think).. Very VERRRRY vivid dreams for the last 2 nights and what basically feels like period pains today.

agendabender · 18/03/2013 19:41

Ooh can I join please? I really have very little chance of being pregnant, since you can't will it so, but we're only using withdrawal and I have a feeling.

I've got a red, bumpy rash on my chest and neck - could this be an oestrogen surge? I had some rusty-coloured mucous last night, but so far no other sign of the period due today. Could this be somehow construed as implantation bleeding?

I'm determined not to test unless I go inescapably late, because I'd be really disappointed if it was negative (which it would be). We had our first son while using condoms. A second accidental baby would be a whole other layer of embarrassing!

minicc · 18/03/2013 18:47

Oooh Saggy things like this are MOST welcome here! Congrats!
