Oops...having promised inane chat, we had an unexpected visitor turn up so I haven't been able to get on all evening! Sigh! Do these people not realise I want to just hide away for the school holidays!?

Barking, I am very jealous of sunny Spain! I'm glad to see some sun forecast for this week but it's still waaaaaay too cold.

A list could help fill up the thread.Or how about a little chart sharing. I had a stupendous dip this morning so I'll be interested to see what happens in the morning. Could it become my shortest luteal plase ever? Could it be an implantation dip? (Not that I think it will come to anything - spotting will start any day now, implantation or not.)

CharmingCats · 01/04/2013 22:24

Hola barking - enjoy the holiday.

Inane is my middle name, boodle [bugrin]

barkingtreefrog · 01/04/2013 21:03

Hello from sunny Spain! .
Feel like a whole new human being after the stress of last half term!! No dtd managed in the campsite though as predicted, and it should be shag week.

That daily mail article - yep, I did the maths as well and immediately questioned possible shoddy journalism (not from the dm though, surely?!). Why did they start trying at 18 for a start, and if they had, why hadn't they gone down other avenues in the intervening 15 years?!?!

Boodle - also with you on wanting a slightly longer cycle in the hope that they'll give me sweeties and I can start taking them immediately!!

EasterBunnyGirlie · 01/04/2013 20:58

I can think of something to fill up the thread, a list lol

BoodleBonnetParade · 01/04/2013 20:24

Charming, I'm not too hot when it comes to witty banter. If you'll accept inane triviality, I'll be glad to oblige. Smile

EasterBunnyGirlie · 01/04/2013 19:46

I can't think of anything witty lol

I seem to be eating everything this weekend! Diet starts tomorrow!!! About 6 weeks till my holiday, am hoping if I can manage 6/7 weeks off Facebook then I can cope with 6 weeks of healthy food and exercise!

Frogcatcher · 01/04/2013 19:24

Bad luck boodle & pip. I think I'm also CD17 tally but with a much shorter cycle than you (average of 28 days & has been 25 before) that is not such good news for me as means LP is on the short side. Anyone tried & had any luck with LP extending suggestions like B vits & progesterone cream? Obvs I could have a longer cycle this month (BFP AF expected any day now & then LP will be fine. Fertility fucker friend has refused to give me any crosshairs tho its plain to me when O was. Maybe cos all the OPKs came up neg or my temping times were a bit erratic.

CharmingCats · 01/04/2013 19:14

Never! Shall we try to fill it tonight with witty banter?

EasterBunnyGirlie · 01/04/2013 18:37

Oh pip what timing! boodle that sounds crappy!

Where is everyone else this weekend??? Did they all go away? The last thread took less than a week to fill, this one was 2 weeks old yesterday, have we run out of chat?!?!?

happylass · 01/04/2013 18:35

Cycle buddies Tally! I'm 3 dpo too according to FF. Didn't have any OV pain this month though and usually get a few hours worth Hmm. FF said OV on cd12 but temp had gone up by then, thought OV was always the day before the rise??

BoodleBonnetParade · 01/04/2013 18:10

How on earth was that lady trying for 15 years? Surely some of that story must be missing - wouldn't she have been on the IVF path way before that? pip, that's terrible timing for you. Mine's not as bad but I'm flying at the weekend with AF due just before. Yay for menstrual cramps and vomiting whilst sky bound... Hmm

Tallyra · 01/04/2013 17:51

Grr pip, bad timing! Don't give up though!
FF has finally given me o. I'm on 3dpo now so that's good, I now know I ov at cd17. with a 31 dat cycle it's about right!
But I haven't had any cm thus month which is odd as I normally get loads!

Pipbin · 01/04/2013 15:03

So I've just had a look at the dates this month and I've realised that shag week is going to be the week when we are moving house and due to complicated reasons we will be staying with friends for a couple of nights. Arrrgh

Pipbin · 01/04/2013 14:57

I was thinking that Cats. Started at 18 if she is 33 now and been trying for 15 years.

A dear friend contacted me last night to ask if it was OK to be put in his will as the people to have custody of their baby should something dreadful happen to them both. All these things you have to think about, getting a BFP is just the start isn't it.

SidneyBristow · 01/04/2013 14:53

Cats [busad]
Hungover here today. Not sure what possessed me to drink like a fish, but I'm paying for it today. Hmm maybe it was all the talk after dinner of my BIL's new nephew; that would've done it! CD22 here and am wondering if I've pickled the poor embryo(s) that might've gotten conceived last week.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 01/04/2013 14:14

Crikey cats I didn't even do the math!?! I thought she was older, she looks older than me!!!

Sorry bout your bfn [busad]

Have a good holibob peanut

CharmingCats · 01/04/2013 12:00

bunny am I right in thinking that the couple in that article started trying when she was 18????? Not even gonna go there.

CharmingCats · 01/04/2013 11:59

I was weak and gave in to the temptation. Yes, I pimped and it was a bfn. So now I'm full of angst about how it was too early and all is not lost, while losing the hope ive had for a week....

BombasticPeanut · 01/04/2013 10:55

booktart sounds like a strategy I need to adopt! Yep, really, complete with super-fun caption, 'oh no, as if I don't have enough on my plate, another bloody baby! I hate feeling sick!' oh ha ha flippin ha!

Thanks frog, I'll wait until I get back from my jollies and get a proper one then. Off to go yomping in the Lakes (read: off to force DH into militant sex routine because we're on holiday so it's the LAW) Grin

Frogcatcher · 01/04/2013 10:33

Oh & water leak fixed for now but ceiling still needs repair. Thank god for the emergency plumber we could get thru DPs household emergency insurance.

Frogcatcher · 01/04/2013 10:30

Good luck peanut. Try & get a basal body temp one if you can as they are more accurate. I started with a normal one but was recommended to switch by one of the other berries. I'm currently fx that AF doesn't arrive for another couple of days or I'm going to be joining the short LP club too. O was CD17 & it's only CD27 today.

No 'amusing' Facebook updates from my friends as most already have at least one child [buenvy]

BookTart · 01/04/2013 10:11

Oh god Peanut, really? I think I've stopped seeing updates from almost everyone that posts stuff like that. As I've also blocked people that: moan about immigrants; give regular updates on their running/gym programme, and post non-ironic inspirational pictures, I basically only have two people that can post to my wall. Firm but fair.

I wasn't given Clomid last week because so far my ovulation looks okay (more tests to come). He was definitely being stingy with it! He said he might give it for a cycle or two if we had IUI, but that's it. No sweeties for me '-(

EasterBunnyGirlie · 01/04/2013 10:06

Hey peanut thanks for the explanation!

Ooh your friends sound hilarious, when you do get pg, do make sure you tell them how much it hurts!!!

BombasticPeanut · 01/04/2013 09:48

Ooooh, if only they did Clomid Easter Eggs. I'd be all over those like a rash. I've got at least another 4 months before they'll break and give me fertility sweeties drugs. Hope you get your slightly longer LP Boodle!

Girlie Clomid is a drug that stimulates ovulation, it's often a first line treatment especially in PCOS. But they're really tight about handing it out. They say this is in case of hyperstimulation but really it's because they're mean and like to see us suffer.

I can't see who was the helpful berry who told me about temping because it's on the previous page, but sounds like it's worth having a go - my cycles are all over the place, somewhere between a week and 3 months between periods at the mo. So maybe it's worth trying. Right, off to buy me a thermometer and find out how warm these here eggs are.

Incidentally, anyone else had the HILARIOUS facebook updates where your friends pretend they're pregnant because it's April Fool's day? HAHA oh dear, I just couldn't stop crying laughing!
