Newbies very welcome provided they meet the entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Awwww rubbish cherry do they not realise how important this is!

Well berries, you know I was taking a month off so we don't have a Christmas baby? Well I input my dates into a calculator thingy and if we managed it the next month I'd end up with a possible birthday baby!!! Aaaaagh!!!

cherrycoconut · 03/04/2013 22:19

Loving micro lamb, sooo cute! I've been at the farm this morning feeding the orphan lambs where my horse lives. Theirs are Texel crosses so a bit bigger but they're still gorgeous, surprisingly strong and very loud!

CatsCantFlyFast · 03/04/2013 22:18

frog despite the cats I'm a dog person too so made me laugh... I want that dog!
cherry nothing more painful than waiting for people to do stuff that takes seconds so my sympathy to you
Yea frog it's shag week, O due Sun (ish) but truly no real idea other than history. However we've barely had sex since the BFP so not holding out hope. I never burnt 'the book' so it still stares at me every night when I go to bed. Ironically, thanks to the book I know lots about 'what to expect when you're expecting' yet actually I need a book on what to expect when you're not fucking expecting because your body is letting you down!
On a side note, because of the above, my poor pot is looking so neglected and forlorn, I almost feel sorry for it
Newbies, welcome, and ignore me being bitter and twisted

Welcome Cate and Bajas, good to have some other 38 year olds here. I get the feeling Bajas that you will become classed as an instadiffer as I'm sure you will get a BFP on Friday.
How long have you guys been trying?

No news here as we have spent the day packing.

cherrycoconut · 03/04/2013 22:07

Welcome to the new berries Cate, Bajas, Peanut

barking and Merkin I'm the same - haven't temped for two weeks now. Have drunk far too much wine, eaten far too much choc Shock I think we're all justified in feeling a bit thrown though, try not to beat yourself up about it. God this is a hard road to travel.

Chased up docs today for our referral to the fc. It turns out doc wrote the letter a week ago but the office has a backlog so the letter is still waiting on a desk somewhere to be sent. Sob. Feel like going down there myself to lick the envelope!

barkingtreefrog · 03/04/2013 21:45

Hello cate, what cycle are you on? The List needs to know Wink .

barkingtreefrog · 03/04/2013 21:34

Well, it made me smile, but I'm a dog person Smile .

barkingtreefrog · 03/04/2013 21:30

Merkin, I'm the same with the lack of temping and pimping this month. But in my case I've given up hope until I get the fc appointment, at which point I'm convinced I will be given clomid without argument, which will solve my LP problem, and I will immediately become upduffed that very month. Probably with twins. If this doesn't actually happen I have no idea how I will cope with reality.
Where are you in your cycle Merk? Am I right in thinking you're somewhere around shag week? Boo for the last OBEM of the series. I've still got the sad one to watch when I get home.

I have something to make you smile, give me a minute to find the link...

Bajas · 03/04/2013 21:06

Thanks for such a lovely welcome everyone :)

frog sorry to hear about the bfn. Hopefully that'll change in next couple of days. Fx

sidney and cate hopefully we'll be living proof that 38 is not past it.

Will have to check out micro lamb...

CatsCantFlyFast · 03/04/2013 21:00

Aargh OB is the final episode Hmm

CatsCantFlyFast · 03/04/2013 20:59

Berries, i have not caught up on the last few weeks where i have been absent so apologies if i put my foot in it or am massively out of touch. Anyone gearing up for OBEM?
For my update I'm into shag week but weirdly detached... I've been feeling like it will never happen, haven't taken a single temp or peed on an OPK, last month really really really has thrown me. It feels very self indulgent, and so unlike me, but I can't seem to pull myself out of it. So who has happy stories to cheer me up??

SidneyBristow · 03/04/2013 20:42

Welcome Bajas! I'm 38 too and think the same thing about how much different things would be if I'd met my DH years ago. Life can throw us some curveballs.

Why am I crying over MicroLamb!!! What is wrong with me! He's just so tiny and cute.

Cate555 · 03/04/2013 20:33

Hi everyone, thanks for the invite HappyLass Can someone please add me to the list?
Cate 38 married, TTC #1 thought I had all the time in the world then woke up one morning aged 38 and thought oops I'd better get my skates on!

Bunnygirlie · 03/04/2013 20:05

Naughty frog Grin

Just watching a show about the Queen, (fair play she's awesome) they started talking about the royal baby which got me all teary - what is wrong with me?!?
Then I go on facebook and all the ads are throwing it in my face - are you planing a family? 70% off kidswear, ads for prams etc GRRRRRRR Angry

Frogcatcher · 03/04/2013 19:29

BFN as expected. BUT refuse to give up hope yet as early days still, it wasn't a sensitive IC & I didn't use FMU. Hmm

Bunnygirlie · 03/04/2013 18:45

Yay lots of berries back in business Grin welcome bajas

Stay strong frog

Butting in on Frog's role but not being arsed to put everyone in bold
Bunny, 33, married, 10 months TTC, just getting basic blood tests/jizz test for hubby, considering taking April off TTC.
Happy, 35, cycle 8. AF due 12th April. Rapidly running out of time to have a baby before my wedding next year!!
Sidney, 38, married, cycle 9, AF/BFP due 8th April. IC OPK newbie, will start temping next month if necessary bc I buckle under peer pressure & don't like feeling left out
Tallyra, 33, TTC since 2009, 3 mmc and possibly 1cp. waiting for mc specialist appointment still so not allowed TTC at the mo.
Barkingtreefrog, 33, cycle 16, co duchess of short LP. Varying cycle length. AF due somewhere around 11th-21st April. Long awaited fc appointment 17th April.
Pipbin, 38 (next week), cycle 19, blocked tubes, waiting for IVF but hoping for a miracle, AF due 28th April
Cherrycoconut, 33, married, TTC August 2012. Somewhere on spectrum of prem ovarian failure; awaiting diagnosis and FC apt, looking for permission to hope.
Frogcatcher, 36, TTC since Oct 2012, 1st cycle charting, BFP/AF due 3-5 April i.e. NOW so just put me out of my misery AF FFS
BombasticPeanut, 31, married, TTC since May 2012, MMC in Aug, cycle anywhere between 1 week and 3 months gaaaaah AF you tricky cow. Waiting for FC appt in Aug.
Haycorn, 30, married. TTC since August 2012 but efforts severely hampered by loss of AF. Has anyone seen it?
Bajas, age 38 (39 in July eek!). Got married July 2012 and have been trying ever since. Dreadfully irregular cycles so on cycle 7- last one was 17 days, one before was 38 so no idea when bfp could appear.
BookTart, 37, 15 cycles in, CP in October, blood test on 8th April, HSP and USS with follicular tracking the week after, AF turning up any second now.

BookTart · 03/04/2013 18:16

Sorry all, catching up as internet connection is a bit broken on and off for some reason. Spent the day recovering from a migraine, which means that evil AF will be here in the next couple of days. Boo.

Stay strong frog although I'd POAS if I were you

Can I go on the list please? BookTart, 37, 15 cycles in, CP in October, blood test on 8th April, HSP and USS with follicular tracking the week after, AF turning up any second now.

Frogcatcher · 03/04/2013 17:12

Arrrrrrrrrrgh! Helped an old colleague from my old office today with something today & she mailed me later to give me the news that she is expecting in September. I'm obviously happy for her but it's not helped my urge to POAS!!! FF has started me on a POAS countdown now & says I should POAS in 5 days. I didn't know it would do that & not sure I can wait that long!!!

Bajas · 03/04/2013 14:48

Sounds like the temping could be a good idea for peace of mind for a start off. I'm glad a slightly non regimented system works too as I don't fancy getting up at 6am on weekends and holidays!

frogcatcher had appt with doc a couple of months ago just to check in as such. He didn't suggest any tests or raise any concerns. Will prob leave it another couple of months before going back. Am trying to keep things as pressure free as possible for as long as I can get away with it but have a constant clock ticking in my head re age. Why couldn't I have met dh a few years earlier?!!!

happylass · 03/04/2013 14:26

Welcome Bajas!! Glad to see my recruiting paid off Smile. This is the 5th cycle I've been temping and find it very reassuring just to know that I've OVd every month. I do it every morning without thinking about it. Like Frog I'm not dedicated enough to set my alarm when I'm off work but I still see a very clear pattern every month.

Frogcatcher · 03/04/2013 13:27

Hi bajas quite a few people on here do temp & OPK. I've started this month with mixed results. I like the fact that I can see when O was (& I got a dip before which I think I can use as my early warning system to make sure we dtd) but I never got a line that I thought was positive on the OPK. Next month I need to compare the lines & temps so I know what my positive looks like. I'm also too lazy to set alarms to wake up to temp at the same time every day so my chart is not the most accurate. I like the fact that I am actually doing something though rather than just leaving it to chance & if I do end up with the GP for onward referral I have the evidence that I am ov & cycle records for further investigation. Have you been to see your GP yet? I've heard that in some areas if you are over 35 they will refer you for further tests once you've been trying for 6 months.
