Newbies very welcome provided they meet the entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Happy Easter all! Chocolate and fluffy bunnies to all. I'm nursing a hangover, and nursing the guilt of drinking enough to get a hangover when I should have suspended all pate-eating, wine-quaffing enjoyment on the minuscule off-chance I produced an egglet at some point! Oh well.

On the boob theme, I have slightly sensitive boobs/nipples also probably because I've been poking them lots to see if they're sore. I have inverted nipples (and when I say inverted, I mean practically poking out of my shoulderblades) but since the MC they occasionally pop out to say hello. Gets my hopes up that something mystical and pregnancy-related is going on, but then they go back into hibernation. Currently one is in and one is out, which DH is finding hilarious this morning [buhmm]

Frog I've considered temping but am too disorganised to do it, plus I work shifts so hard to know when to take it. Do you reckon it's worth it then? OPKs never show anything for me...

EasterBunnyGirlie · 31/03/2013 10:30

Oh dear frog, i know what you mean! But when I say stooopid stoopid employers I am in fact talking about my hubby as he is kind of my boss lol [bugrin]

Frogcatcher · 31/03/2013 10:27

Well getting to the end of my first temping cycle & despite my crap consistency with temping times I can still see a pattern. I've discarded two temps - one silly high one when I was ill & a strange low one several days post O when I could have read the temp wrong I guess. Despite OPK results it looks like I had a pre O dip at CD15 then temp went up a bit & stayed the same CD16 & CD17 before shooting up after that. Unfortunately that puts the timing EXACTLY when DP had to work late &/or was knackered from work so we managed to DTD 4 days before likely O & the day after. I'm not going to be mega surprised when AF arrives this week then. STOOPID STOOPID employers...

Tallyra · 30/03/2013 23:37

I'm somewhere in between, not tiny, not big but I definitely got sore boobs when I was pg. but mine also get sore at AF sometimes so it's no use as a diagnosis tool.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 30/03/2013 21:01

frog I have a flat chest too! I think most 10 year old girls have more than me! If I ever get pg and get boobies I won't know what to do!!!

cats hilarious!!!!!

CharmingCats · 30/03/2013 20:46

I was reading a great thread last night on the worst household tips. One poster posted a link to ridiculous tips from magazines. I almost wet myself laughing. Have a look:

Frogcatcher · 30/03/2013 20:38

DP bought me a nice bottle of wine rather than an Easter egg. I keep telling him I want to drink less whilst TTC but he doesn't seem to take that in. He tried to buy some eggs for other people tho & all tesco had left were double decker ones!
I get slightly swollen boobs before AF but not really sore. I've read loads of stuff where women say that was how they knew they were pg when their boobs were sore but I don't think that will ever apply to my too flat chest.

EasterBunnyGirlie · 30/03/2013 20:25

Hello! I never got sore boobs before TTC now I always get them prior to AF arriving, mother nature is an evil hagbag!

CharmingCats · 30/03/2013 20:22

Evening. DH and I decided that we'd treat each other to an easterr egg this afternoon. There weren't any left in morrisons or wilko! So, have been eating milkybars....

barking your facial story cracked me up. I used to go for glad facials but got so fed up with feeling disappointed with the lack of results and the every increasing price, so stopped.

My boobs are so sore. I think this is also a pmt symptom, but I can't remember!!

EasterBunnyGirlie · 30/03/2013 18:45

Had funny day today, hubby says I've been a whiney cow all day whereas I think he's just being an arse! TBH I probably have been narky, bit like when I get my period but that was last weekend so not sure what is up with me!

barkingtreefrog · 30/03/2013 18:34

I had a dermatologica facial on that nasty hen do. The woman basically spent 45 mins putting products on and off my face without telling me what any of them were, and at the end of it did a very bad job of cleaning off the remains - I only realised when I got back to my hotel room that I had bits of face mask stuck all over my face!!! Blush To be fair one of the other girls did try to tell me, but I think she got bored after the 3rd 'and a bit there'. Confused

Frogcatcher · 30/03/2013 18:17

And me! Been out playing golf this afternoon then had to take DPs cat to vet so just popping in before he gets back from football.

tally the queen of pimping merkin said that she gets the first faint line 5 days before O. I got lots of faint lines but never a dark one tho temps got higher after CD 17 but FF hasn't given me any crosshairs this month. It was suggested that I label & keep the OPKs to compare the lines to temps next month.

The cat is just stressed apparently - it should try TTC & then see how it feels!

On the clothes front I'd recommend a personal shopping session if you can be bothered. A lot of shops do them for free in London. I had one at Banana Republic a while back as a favour for a friend who worked there & it's quite good if you hate shopping as they just bring stuff to you. I didn't feel pressured to buy & got stuff that I wouldn't normally have tried but actually looked good. It was sale time too so I didn't even spend that much for what I got.

Oh & my vote for Dermalogica products too. Maybe have one salon facial to see what they recommend then buy online after that as its cheaper. Happy Easter Saturday berries! Hope all the chocolate puts those DPs in the mood that need to be [buwink]

Tallyra · 30/03/2013 18:00

I'm here. Just popping in between cleaning house and guests arriving any minute now. sounds like dh is on the phone to them now giving final directions..

I finally got some sort of result in my opk. A faint line. I am taking that to mean any time soon as its my first month doing this. That actually means that I am on target. the estimated day of ov was today so I'm not far off what all my apps were telling me I could be!

EasterBunnyGirlie · 30/03/2013 15:37

Hellooooooooooooooo anybody there?!?

happylass · 29/03/2013 23:06

Peanut I suffer with eczema too. It used to be really bad on my face until I started using Dermalogica a few years ago - sounds dramatic but it literally changed my life!

BombasticPeanut · 29/03/2013 22:55

Who'd have skin eh? frog and cats acne issues sound rubbish. I have opposite problem, so dry I look like my face has scales and bright red eczema all up my inner thighs from my knees up. SO FIT when I'm trying to get my shmooze on with DH. Not that there's any action going on, can't keep the shag week momentum going by this point...

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 22:36

cats I get it on the back of my neck which tends to be the most painful place, and that restricts choice of clothing as I'll put a shirt on but the collar presses on a painful spot so I have to try something else. Also annoying is when I have bad ones on my back or shoulders or chest that are exactly where my bra strap is Angry. If anyone told me as a self conscious acne ridden teenager that I would still be battling with acne in my thirties it might have tipped me over the edge. I look at photos of myself a few years back and can't believe how lovely my skin was (whilst on Dianette). I get really wound up at the unfairness of the fact that my skin is this bad as I can't take pills to control it as I'm ttc, yet ttc hasn't got me anywhere and at the time when I need to be dtd the most I feel the most unattractive and self conscious!! Bloody catch 22!

Anyway, shag week this cycle falls in the worst possible time - we're either camping, at a wedding, or I'm in London and DP's up North, so I'm just counting the days until the fertility clinic on the 17th April!

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 22:25

No flowers with ears either

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 22:24

My acne extends to my shoulders and behind my ears. Quite sore when I lay on one side.

barkingtreefrog · 29/03/2013 22:15

I am as per usual totally failing on the packing front. Will no doubt be running around stressed as usual tomorrow morning.

I've looked at the Liz Earle link but not sure what I should be looking at. My skin isn't massively oily, I just get bad acne. At the moment it's particularly along my jaw line, and underneath my jaw near my neck, so the least oil-prone bits anyway. I've got a really good cleanser, I tried the Aknicare range which had rave reviews about clearing acne. It didn't clear all my spots before I ran out of the products, but the cleanser was really nice and made my face feel clean and fresh so I've continued using that.

Tell me about the deranged spaniel peanut, I have a springer x collie [busmile]

And where's the bunny emoticon for wine with ears?!

BombasticPeanut · 29/03/2013 20:50

Phew. Thanks Charming for explanation, my etymological OCD was going mad. Also, this reminds me that I need to buy more sticks (my DH calls them crazysticks. Can't imagine why) [bugrin]

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 20:26

Well, peanut , a long time ago some berries joined this thread and fell pg within the first cycle. Instantly upduffed. I think differ was a typo?
Pimp = pee in my pot as most of us use Internet cheapy tests that need to be dipped in a pot rather than peed on in the poas sense. [busmile]

BombasticPeanut · 29/03/2013 20:21

I hate to admit ignorance. But...could someone translate pimping and instadiffers for me? I get what an instadiffer is, but can't bear not to know what it actually means!

CharmingCats · 29/03/2013 20:20

I'm with you all in the clothes thing. I look at mags and in shops and know what I like, but never buy or wear it. I regularly go out in a track suit. I'd love to be stylishly casual, but it never works. I have one decent pair of work trousers and a few tops that I interchange. I've been reluctant to shell out for a more up together selection because I will need mat clothes soon, so will save some money now. I look a right state. But I like to blend in. I normally hate it if someone comments on a new item, so avoid the attention by not wearing any. But then I feel dowdy....grrr.
Thanks for the skincare suggestions. I had a go with Liz Earle a while ago, but didn't like the moisturiser. Had a browse in boots today, considered the neutrogena blackhead eliminating stuff, but thought it'd be too harsh.
So, no clothes, no skincare, but saw a couple of jobs to apply for.
I will be pimping next Saturday. Changing my dildocam appointment due to insurance policy renewal date, so no need to find out before.

happylass · 29/03/2013 19:20

Evening berries. I have a confession on the clothes front. Several months back I bought a new pair of jeans (I wear them skinny and v tight) and I went up a size as I thought I'd be upduffed in no time at all and need the extra room. I have them on today and I can actually take them on and off without undoing the button or zip [bublush]
So, there doesn't seem to have been a lot of pimping going on of late. Who's next in line? OV due tomorrow here so I'm ages away.
