critter sorry your trip didn't work out. Having seen Winter's Bone I do think the hire car option would be a challenging trip (brilliant film by the way but yes very very grim). No problem at all about where you injected. I did the same and have no doubt it's absolutely fine.

You'll be fine tomorrow mrsd but nerves are totally understandable. I'm sure the clinic would have told you if the trigger was to be injected differently. The important thing is that it has been injected. Try not to think about work (I know lots of people who stay off work with a sniffle) and take care of yourself tomorrow. How is mrden doing?

sar I hope the midwife can help to put your mind at rest. With your history I am not at all surprised that you are finding this so stressful. You will get that early scan booked and all with be fine. The 10 plussers have decreed it ;)

I'm off for a walk in the sunshine in between rain showers to try and loosen up this back. It really is sod's law - thrilled to be free of the icky symptoms only to be preoccupied by a new complaint. I didn't used to be so prone to complaining...... Dinner last night was nice and there is leftover lemon tart if anyone fancies it but you had better be quick!

Tayme, if you've been having sex throughout your cycle then I would advise that it's time to see a dr. The initial tests are not invasive so there's nothing to worry about. You're young so lots of time and you can take the tests one step at a time and just do what you're comfortable with.

Madness, it makes sense that your ovaries might take a little time to get going after downregging for so long. Good luck for the scan.

Sar, I still think its flipping brill that you've managed this on your own. I understand the nerves. One day at a time.

I took the trigger last night so all systems go for tomorrow. Feeling a little nervous but also excited. The pessimist in me is expecting bad news at every step though. Must try to be more positive. I had a panic I'd done the trigger wrong. I injected in tummy just like with all the other ones then read on line of people doing that one in their bum. Surely the dr would have said if it was different. I think I'm destined to panic about every little thing. I'd love some of dolls calmness and cool head!

I'm feeling a bit guilty about phoning in sick tomorrow. Got to be done though. Waves to everyone, x

Joy -wanted to say that I breathed a sigh of relief about af and the karyotype results. These 2 things are NOT going to hold you back. You have had horrendous bad luck but now there is no reason to think you cant get pregnant again. Not long until your Caribbean getaway. Xx

Still ok here. I have the mildest of mildest symptoms which are likely in my head. Most mornings I have very mini mild period cramps and occasionally slightly tingley boobs. But I am mostly feeling normal. I had a serious panic yesterday that I was going to lose this baby and it would all end in tears. I even went down to the EPU where I work, they were lovely and let me have a chat with a midwide for 10 minutes but then sent me on my way. There can't do anthing as there is nothing to report and I am not their patient.

I have decided not to re-test. I am trying to trust my body and follow my instincts. However I reserve the right to change my mind and go bananas again . Knicker checking is driving me insane though.

I am seeing the midwife on Wednesday. The GP didn't refer me straight to scan as asked, guess thats not their procedure. The only time the midwife is available is for a half an hour slot and they need you for 1 hour for the first appointment here. However I would have been waiting until mid-May for a 1 hour slot and due to my need for an early scan to rule out ectopic I couldN'T wait that long. So fingers crossed the midwife will sort stuff.

Gin - I hope you are still doing ok? Scary times, hey? Will be thinking of you this week when it is scan time.

Welcome Tayme. Sorry you are in this position but you will comfort, support and even a few giggles with this thread. Others have given spot on advice about how to proceed next. I guess knowing roughly what fertility issues you are dealing with (if any) may dictate which consultant you pick to see. Some specialise in things more than others.

Madness - heck I am sorry for the ups and downs. You have had an enourmous amount to get through in the lead up to your IVF. I am not suprised that the follies have not suddenly sprung in to action and may need a bit more time. Although I know when you are living this day in and out, the fear is just draining. From my experience, some follies do just grow more slowly. Mine are slow and then can grow as much as 5mm in one day towards ovulation time, that's in natural cycle. I am glad you are keeping yourself busy and its great that your body is trying to get back to doing its own thing. Sorry for the ouchy back.

Den - those scan results sound great. I think you will be collecting some juicy eggs on Monday!!

Buzz - sorry you are busy at work too. How is down regging at the moment? Are you all packed for le holiday???

Nelly - when is your next scan? How are you feeling? I agree that your ovaries are 100% capable of producing top notch nelly egglets. Keep believing.

Rabbit - so sorry you are stuck in fertility limbo - it feels like a lonely and confusing place to be. I think all you can do is feel proud that you have the strength and courage to opt for AC in the near future and in the mean time do everything / anything which feels good or is a distraction. Now could be a good time to look at new therapy ideas or a new mini hobby. Aw sweetheart, I wish I could take the sadness and frustration away. But YOU WILL get there soon. We know you can fertilise and implant. Its just waiting for a golden embryo and AC will help give that a little nudge.

Critter - sorry about the cancelled trip. But horray you get to meet up with the lovely Euro.

Ahhh Lemon - your time will come, it's such a long draggy out process. The summer will be here before you know it. Kepp doing nice things. Be very kind to yourself. You know your womb can implant, you just need a second go.

Welcome tayme. I agree that it would depend on where you are. Our first tests were just blood tests for me and my husband had a semen analysis once they had put the referral through to the fertility clinic but before we got to see a consultant. I agree that ovulation tests are a good way to get to know your own cycle but otherwise I'm not a big fan of diets or other alternative therapies, although some people swear by them.

nelly my amh is considered "normal" so they said that this wasn't really what they would expect me to be doing, but with the endometriosis and low antral follicle count they obviously expected me to have a fairly conservative response (hence the high dose from the start). If I didn't have all of you telling me that it is likely to turn out alright in the end I would be in a panic for sure. Happy gardening!

Today has been a day of highs and lows for me. On the negative side I went and pulled something in my back which is flipping annoying. I wasn't even doing anything strenuous, just tidying up. Was it you pout who ended up laid up wit a injury during your cycle? Took me ages to get up off the floor and climb the stairs . Sore now but mobile.... On the positive side and at the risk of tempting fate I haven't had a hot flush today for the first time since December and some of my ahem natural lubrication is returning. I take this as a sign that my body is finally waking up.

Friends over for dinner this evening so must continue to slowly sort the house out. Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend!

Tayme are you UK based? I'm not sure how the military cover works but normally you have to see your GP for basic blood tests an semen analysis then you are referred for further investigations. Do you have regular cycles or any indications something might be wrong (painful periods for example?). Do you use OPKs or anything to confirm ovulation and timing? It must be hard with your husband away so much.

EuroShaggleton, No I have not had any tests done yet as I am currently in the market for a new DR. I recently moved and am under the Military health care system, and I have a long list of Dr's to choose from...and I don't know where to start.

mrsd eek - almost there! That sounds like a great number of follies and a nice cosy lining. It's great that you've had no side effects.

I'm going o pull the trigger myself critter I've been lucky I think, only had to do 8 stimming, 3 cetrotide and then the one trigger. I've also had no side effects which the dr seemed surprised about.

den wow that is so soon! Eeee, exciting! Fantastic that you have so many follies and that all looks good with your lining. Good luck with the trigger shot - is the clinic going to draw a target to show MrDen the right spot to do the jab? Make sure to ice that sucker first!

lemon oh honey I am so sorry I made you teary. I do have high hopes for you though - I think your June IVF may be just the ticket, if you don't get another BFP before then.

I had mine today. 4 follies on one side, 5 on the other. Lining was 9. Something he said it looked good so ec booked for Monday am. Eek. I have one more dose of 150 gonal f tonight. Citrotide tomorrow morning and then the trigger tomorrow at 9pm. Got to be at the clinic for 8am on Monday.

No news here nelly. They're leaving me until Monday too. probably a good decision but i would like to see some progress now!!

Definitely sounds wise to dip the ozarks critter but sorry for no poetry . euro's visit will be a welcome distraction.

Thanks for the flowers and sympathy critter, it made me teary - which is mostly due to too much work and too little sleep. Although I woke til 7am this morning, hurrah!

sar all I had at that point was some insomnia. I hadn't even realised that could be a symptom until I saw other women on my ante-natal thread suffering similarly! I hope you get your scan sorted soon.

nelly hot flushes are a downregging symptom. I just wondered if anyone else continued to have them on the stims. I really think my body is struggling to get going again. I think the flushes are tailing off, but definitely still happening. At their peak at the end of the downregging phase I was getting them at least once an hour. I get all red and sweaty (pouring down my chest sometimes) and it just generally makes me feel out of control. That aside, it really helps to know that I'm not the only one to progress slowly and to panic unnecessarily. I really hope that your ovaries are getting going. you know that you got eggs last time and you will again.

sar try to stay calm and have faith in yourself. You are young and healthy and lots of people have a miscarriage and go on to have healthy and uneventful pregnancies. You will be okay and you have all of our positive thoughts to back you up.

sea it was actually a name from my life, not from here. I haven't actually met any of these lovelies in rl, although I keep dropping hints about a north of the border meet up sometime. Your road trip sounds a great idea. I recommend heading north to Canada and can give lots of suggestions for Toronto or the East Coast .

mrsd I second whoever said that you have no reason to worry. You had a positive scan and things are progressing. Good luck with the next scan. You will be our first to get to EC I reckon.
