Thanks saggy - the pad is still clear and really minimal brown stuff only when I wipe, no pain or pmt style symptoms (just a bit of backache) - just wish I knew what my body was doing - I HATE the lack of control Hmm

Lets see what tomorrow brings - hopefully some blommin answers!! Thanks for your support guys - you are fab - fact!! Xx

hey all just checking in on you, this thread moves so quickly. Wishing you all sticky vibes and fx for Friday Grin
thunders when does the doc check your levels again?
nothing to report here, still worrying and waiting...

CatPussInACrownOfThorns · 26/03/2013 19:43

Hi Sal, welcome but so sorry to see you here. {{hug}}
Mummy my first AF was light for two days light, one day medium, one day heavy one day light. I was gearing up for carnage and it never happened. Fingers crossed for implantation for both of us. X

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 26/03/2013 19:27

Hi Sal - sorry you find yourself here but you are most welcome

Now with practical hat on - have you found the thread on the MC forum which covers the practicalities of MC? (you'll need to have big pads ready and don't go far without a change of clothes - an earlier thread had the infamous Laura Ashley skirt which some one was forced to buy due to leak incident)

I had a natural MC in Dec, but much earlier on than you - was still a bit epic on the day everything came out and was glad to be at home.
Even if you do have one, keep you appt next week and make sure you get scanned to check everything came away.

In the meantime, hope you have lots of chocolate and hugs in RL.

Sal1977 · 26/03/2013 18:35

(Unfortunately) Newbie here saying hello! Been invited in by MrsExcited and recognise WillSanta from the October thread.

Supposed to be 11+3 today but had some bleeding (and something grim fall out of me) over the weekend and scan with willycam today confirmed a delayed MC. Sucks eh? Would have been DC1, but obviously not meant to be.

Hoping to thumb a lift on another bus ASAP once we get this yucky bit over and done with. ERPC booked for next Wednesday (bloody bank holiday) unless it happens naturally before (which I think it will).

So hello hello hello!! Xx

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 26/03/2013 17:09

Oh Mummy - it "could" be implantation bleeding but I would out that out if your mind and prepare for AF. Then if bleeding disappears, you can always do a test (but leave it til at least DPO14-15).

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/03/2013 16:48

Thanks chocoate, my DH mentioned implanting bleeding when I spoke to him earlier (he is always optimistic) but I think it is the start of AF.

Enjoy your lush sounding supper and revenge (I LOVE that show!!) x

Hi MummytotheArkBuilder - my periods since natural MC in Dec have all started with lightish bleeding on DPO8-10 and then got heavier through to DPO14. Really annoying as I started to hope it was implantation bleeding each time.
I used to have relatively light periods before DS, then they were 2 day quite heavy blasts - but not painful before MC and nothing before DPO14.

Doesn't much help you but hope you have lots of choc/drugs ready if things get more painful later on.

I am on CD15 - no sign of ov and DH leaves tomorrow for golf weekend so here is hoping I get some hardy swimmers up there later who can stick it out for a few days.
I am going to start the Easter celebrations early tomorrow night in retaliation - I am planning a Deeeelicious supper of Twirl on toast, followed by boozy bananas (baked with rum & sugar) with two episodes of Revenge to catch up on with no moaning in the corner.

Just have to get through Zumba tonight to earn it!

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/03/2013 16:29

I'm hoping its my body getting back into the swing of things - I happy for it to be light, it makes a change from the horrible heavy ones I normally have!! x

OP posts:
alyant79 · 26/03/2013 16:01

I can't remember who it was, but I think I remember someone posting on here that their first AF started out really light for a couple of days and then got heavy.

Not sure if it's the same at all, but my first AF after I had DD (about 13 months later after I stopped BF) was really quite light - similar perhaps? body getting back into the swing of things???

I haven't had first AF yet after mc, so can't give my experience to that.

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/03/2013 14:14

I wasnt sure what it expect from the first AF but didnt think it would be this different - my miscarriage was 15th Feb and I had a positive OPK on 15th March so assumed everything was settling down. I had a complete natural miscarraige and when I had the follow up scan she said my womb was completley empty - who knows though, the whole things is bloomin confusing!! I really was gearing myself up for a horrific AF but its the opposite so I guess thats a good thing - if I have to have AF I would rather it be light!! x

icklemssunshine1 · 26/03/2013 13:47

This sounds like what I had last week. I rang the ward I was on to have my ERPC as was worried I was still bleeding from that & they said it could be AF (I'm not convinced as only lasted a few days) but the gynae nurse I spoke to said that my AF's may never be what they were like before in terms of heaviness, colour, length! I've since read it could be an "altered period", meaning the last of the ERPC remains. Hope I haven't added to your confusion!

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/03/2013 13:37

Hi ladies, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my (slightly depressing) earlier post - it means so much!!

I am feeling a bit better than this morning -DH is being wonderful about it - he is always full of bags of posifrickintivity bless him, I think I was just a bit shocked when it arrived this morning (although I was due this weekend) as I had no pmt, no stomach cramps or no massive headache (which is standard with me), the only things I have had - and still have - is really bad back ache (which i dont normally get before AF) plus it is a very strange AF - it is mainly brown brown (sorry to anyone eating their lunch) and is super light - pretty much only when I wipe and hardly anything on the pad.
Normally, becuase of my endometreosis, my periods are so heavy and painful that I have to take medication from the doctor otherwise I am house bound practically - any idea whats going on??? Could it just be getting back into the swing of things following the miscarraige?? I took a pregnancy test on Saturday (max 7dpo and it was negitive but no shock there!)

xx

Always playing a "waiting game": waiting for AF, waiting for BFP, then waiting for each of the 40 weeks to pass successfully.think I need to develop some patience. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way :)

IBelieveInPink · 26/03/2013 13:07

Hey ickle. Stressing. Massively! But just taking each day as it comes. Waiting for time to pass. Not a lot else I can do really. I'm such a nightmare, I think DH is sick of me freaking out every 2 minutes, but he is being very understanding. :)

icklemssunshine1 · 26/03/2013 13:00

How are you doing ibelieve? :)

icklemssunshine1 · 26/03/2013 12:59

Sorry to hear that mummy and willsanta. As thunder said the horrible silver lining is that at least you know your bodies are working as they should. Still no AF or positive OPK for me (& def no pg). No-one tells you how frustrating the after effects of a MC are! How am I supposed to TTC when I'm not bloody ovulating?! Grr!

IBelieveInPink · 26/03/2013 12:25

Hey all! Havent been posting as much mainly due to constant panic but wanted to pop in and say hi!

Yorkie- so sorry about fil. I have heard really good thinks about accupuncture, someone I know who had pcos had it and within a couple of months got pg. with a sticky one. Baby boy born last month. Maybe worth looking into- can also help regulate cycles.....

Mummy- see above too! Also, I would definitely get a second opinion on that. I dot believe the waiting a year should start again but it seems to depend who you speak to. Go back and fight it!

Santa - I would chase it up. I was fuming to be told no to investigations after 2, and from what I have heard, the more you fight the more likely you are to get a sympathetic person and get help.

Hope everyone else is holding up okay. Sorry it seems to be a stressful time for all at the moment, chocolate eggs will help this weekend :)

WillSantaComeAgain · 26/03/2013 10:55

Morning all, AF the bitch got me too today. But (mummytotheark) I'm trying to take this as a positive, because there is no guarantee that I would have ovulated between ERPC and now, so my failure to get pg this time around is just nature's way of ensuring I'm working properly for the next cycle.

[I'm not that gutted as I knew this was going to happen as I got a BFN on Friday].

Also, AF has shown up just in time for the 2013 bus. No pressure or anything but I MUST GET PREGNANT THIS MONTH. (setting myself up for a fail)

Do you think its worth going back to the Dr or the EPAU to discuss whether I should be doing anything? They muttered about starting investigations after two identical mcs in six months, but I've heard nothing since.

CatPussInACrownOfThorns · 26/03/2013 10:47

I'm feeling a wee bit better today. The cramps have gone, and so has the tiny bit of pinkness I had yesterday. The Posifrickintivity part of me puts it down to implantation. at is due between Friday and Wednesday, so you never know! Wink

Zeuxippe · 26/03/2013 09:51

Hello and sorry to everyone feeling low at the moment. Freezing cold weather doesn't help either.

mummy sorry to hear about af Sad. I guess the best way to look at it is as a fresh start. Re luteal phase length, fertility guru Toni Weschler says anything from 10 days upwards is absolutely fine, so try not to worry if you can. Agnus castus is a herbal supplement that can help and vitamin b6 50mg a day is supposed to be good too. Hope this helps x

SpanishLady · 26/03/2013 09:32

Just dropped in to see how you are all doing - sorry to hear some people are feeling down - sending all the best wishes I can your way - hang on ladies X

alyant79 · 26/03/2013 09:28

hugs mummy. I think the first (and sometimes second) AF after mc can be a bit variable in terms of when it comes so I'd try not to worry too much.
It's still early days, so perhaps this month will be the good one :)

I don't have any suggestions on how to try and make your cycles more regular.

I agree that sounds totally unfair re the starting again, especially when you know about the endometriosis and irregular cycles.

So I'm back from a work trip and ttc started in earnest last night.
I'm almost certain that it won't work this month as the timings all look wrong, but you never know. Was 2 weeks post ERPC yesterday, and bleeding only just stopped the day before, so... Fx.
Actually tbh if I do get pg this cycle it would be terrible timing for lots and lots of reasons. But despite knowing this I'm still desperate for it to happen....

Thundercatsarego · 26/03/2013 09:24

Oh dear mummy, I'm really sorry af got you. It sucks.

Ok here's some stern but friendly words from me.

  1. Even though af's arrival is shit because you just want to move on and recover and have a healthy pregnancy, there is a good side in that your body is recovering- look its working again at least. Crappy silver lining I know- slap me if you like?
  1. I don't know too much about short lp's but I think you can still conceive with a short one. Is it something like 10days + is 'normal'? I have heard of people doing things to lengthen it- not sure which vitamins, but maybe acupuncture?
  1. Sod that doc's advice I say, and start fighting (politely). Arm yourself with as much information as you can and ask for help if you need it. My epac doctor said even though we conceived within a few months first time round we shouldn't hold back in asking for help if we had a delay getting pg again. So yeah I would- find someone who will listen and help you.

Better dash but hope you're ok.
Brew for you x
