EVERYONE is pregnant I have fond out in the last week, all 3 of my friends who were pregnant with me when I had my daughter are all pregnant! One due right around the time I should have been. So so mad at the world!

Fod I really feel for you and your family- your poor brother it is a difficult journey for him and he's only at the beginning. If you were to get pregnant soon wouldn't the baby be born before a transplant was needed.

The suggestion to do a OPK twice a day made me smile- sometimes I have done it 4 times- yep crazy!!
More chilled out today but still no smiley so no 2013 baby for me.
2014 will be a great year for a baby!!

No pressure then(!) That's very difficult if it's an open ended thing. Can you be tested/ typed even if at the moment he's not considering accepting a donation? If you are not a match that lets you off the hook with family pressure.

The transplant can only be done once he is in remission....however he won't even discuss his cancer let alone the possibility of a bone marrow, he has to undergo medication first followed by exploratory surgery to see how far it has spread, apparently other relatives are rarely a match...as we share the same parents, genetics etc makes me the best option. It's killing my mother as she wants to be the one to help him, however there is a register of donors...must admit tho I'm scares to try and scared not to try...hope that makes sense

Fod you must have very conflicting feelings about that possibility. Agree with garden is tissue typing or getting tested now an option? If you're not a close match then you've done your bit and can forget it. If you are, I think bone marrow has to be transferred relatively quickly from donor to recipient. When in the projected course of treatment for your brother would he benefit from a transplant? Would it mean a delay in TTC of just a few months or a long time? I think I'd feel the need to help a real person whom you obviously care about over a hypothetical child that doesn't yet exist, but on the other hand can understand the clock ticking and the need to be pregnant again. Very tough one. Are there any other potential matches? Parents? Children?

Garden ferritin (iron stores) full blood count, TSH (thyroid) and karyotyping for both of us now. Day 2-3 FSH/LH as soon as I get AF. Lots of bloods for autoimmune disease and antiphospholipid syndrome 6 weeks post MC. I have to go private for antimullerian hormone as that's not available on NHS, but consultant had already said that. I will have no blood left, but in a good cause.

for those chatting about the opks, i've used the cheapies with both my bfps. the low cost means i didn't feel guilty abut poas as often as i needed to, especially as my cycles were so long (46-50 days). i used the cb dgi ones but they ran out before i got a smiley face and i couldn't justify buying more that month. we dtd every night from my first faint line on the cheap opks, after abuot 7 days it got a bit darker. thought it was better to dtd in the run up to ov as much as possible, even if we did start a bit early but it worked :)

Also is this selfish? My brother starts chemo this week and I've done some research, apparently the cancer he has can be treated with a bone marrow transplant....the best match is usually a sibling, as my sister was adopted that leaves only me....thing is it can't be done if I'm pregnant...I'm not getting any younger tho and I might be one of those ladies that has numerous mc's...who knows? What to do??? Help

Its sooo frustrating isn't it? I could get my head around trying again etc etc....but now I'm thinkin "what if I've stopped ovulatin? What if my cycles are a mess? Will I be able to ttc?"

Excellent tins - if you don't mind my asking, what tests will they do? I'm getting my bloods checked tomorrow after I begged and looked like I was going to cry! (Mainly thyroid related - family history)

Fod if you dont get AF, I suppose four weeks after the bleeding stopped would be sensible.

Ive still got brown/dark red discharge, but Im ignoring it. Getting faint line on OPK so am just DTD and keeping positive.

fod, hope someone can give you some useful advice (so I can steal it)! Had my ERPC on 27th but still having some discharge. Have DTD a couple of times (thought I had finished spotting) but think now I'm just going to wait to AF. Hate having to wait but I think my body's being v slow to recover. Stupid body, definitely feeling all of my 34 years today!!
