Hoping the new thread brings a plethora of BFPs and lots of healthy arrivals!

Hear you about hitting a wall, jolly. Having not got this far before, I never know what to expect and was surprised and a bit dismayed at massive growth spurt the last few weeks and ever increasing exhaustion and discomfort with 2.5 months to go!

My friend who is several weeks ahead of me says she's feeling much better than she did last month - so keeping fingers crossed. Have a very heavy travel load for work coming up in June but just want to take to bed -with all the pillows in the house- until the baby arrives..

Jollyb · 17/05/2013 08:13

Have fun on your weekends away girls. We're off to Bournemouth to visit friends. Last time we saw them it was a week after my last MC so this should be a happier experience.

I had an anterior placenta with my daughter - wasn't convinced about movements til 24 weeks , so don't fret too much.

Can't believe I'm nearly 30 weeks. Seem to have hit a bit of a wall over the past few days - can't get comfy at all. At least I've only got 9 weeks til my section - I went to 42 weeks with DD and it felt like forever.

Pixie and Mrs HP - hope everything's ok. Maybe a wedding night baby is on the cards for you Pixie!

Dorita75 · 16/05/2013 22:21

Glad everyone seems to be doing ok. redbird I've got the low laying placenta too. Another scan at 32wks, you too?

Off to Wales for my sis-in-law to be's hen party tomorrow. Can't wait, really lovely group of girls and Eurovision!

Redbird12 · 16/05/2013 21:40

Hi All

I am doing ok, like jolly and beans been too paranoid to join an antenatal thread though have looked at Sept thread occasionally, if it's not too late, may join you on it dorita and lcr.

Lcr totally know what you mean about movement, I am 22 weeks and havent felt much at all which sometimes still makes me think this isn't real and actually happening. But the 20 week scan showed the placenta was low and at the front so assume it is cushioning me from much movement.

Hi as well to pixie and mrshp, hope job and wedding stuff is going ok and you're not stressing too much about TTC.

Off to Centerparcs tomorrow with some friends, weather doesn't look great but looking forward to a mother to be massage and some relaxing.

MrsHerculePoirot · 14/05/2013 22:23

Hello you lot! I am focusing on my job at the mo, still checking in, but trying not to obsess any more... hmmm..... we shall see!

I am so excited about all your babies, please do feel free to post on here if you ever want to, it gives me hope!

I'm still here, but not much to report outside of getting bigger and all going well as far as anyone can tell. Have also not joined an antenatal thread - far too superstitious and feels too late to hop on board for July.

Irrational dread far less bothersome now that he's moving around loads, but still thinking more about rare late pregnancy / birth complications than I think I would have done without the mcs. Can't imagine how awful it would be to lose him now, so try not to think this way at all - but find it does keep me from feeling comfortable with usual antenatal excitement.

How's everyone else?

LCR77 · 14/05/2013 10:11

Ditto - been wondering where everyone has gone. Like dorita also on the Sept antenatal thread but keep checking in here. Jollyb give an antenatal thread a go, lots of useful info and advice.

I'd like to think that the quietness means everyone is ok but that anyone struggling should know everyone's here to listen if needs be.

I'm still a bit shocked I'm 23 weeks now - not really any movement yet from her and keep thinking something may still go wrong...Until she's in my arms I don't that feeling is going to stop.

Jollyb · 14/05/2013 08:40

Dorita - I still haven't joined an antenatal thread. Too superstitious!

Dorita75 · 13/05/2013 21:28

I'm on the Sept thread so using that for my baby related discussions, so not on here as much. I keep en eye on it to see how everyone's doing and if anyone has any mc questions etc...

Hope everyone is okay Smile

oo00PIXIE00oo · 13/05/2013 20:43

Is everyone ok? I never seen this page so quiet? x

Jollyb · 13/05/2013 20:38

All ok everyone?

Dorita75 · 05/05/2013 06:45

Love the stories daisy beans redbird etc I truly believe what I read at the time of my mc, that it is common and even more so to go on and have a normal pregnancy. Before Christmas my friend told me about a 38yr old in her work who'd had one and was then pregnant, now that's me. Didn't think it would be then. hp and pixie you're doing everything you can and we're all here rooting for you Smile and other ladies on here too x

Jollyb · 03/05/2013 20:25

Evening all

Daisyflower think I've worked out who you are. . . . Glad everything is going ok for you too. Hope number 2 makes a swift and drama free arrival.

redbird many, many congrats on your scan.

pixie it's ok feel weepy. We're all here to listen. We're pretty good at wedding advice tooGrin. Ps there is a lady in my antenatal Pilates group who is 45 and 6 months pregnant after several miscarriages so fingers crossed all will work out for you.

beans I bought a babygro in the sales a few days ago but then told my sister off when she brought round 2 bags of newborn clothes for me.

Have a good weekend everyone

oo00PIXIE00oo · 03/05/2013 18:29

Evening ladies ..... Hi mrshp I'm still hanging in there with you - AF came and went this week [bitch] though her visits seem to be getting shorter ( only 2 days this month) so back to counting the days. Pretty much think its the end of the line for us :( 3 consec mc's and I'm 43 soon!

Wedding preparations are kicking in but am still having my weepy moments - lets hope the cheery weather stays to brighten the mood!

Have a fab long weekend all xx

buzzybeetop · 03/05/2013 14:59

HJ I was like that when pregnant with ds and hadn't had any miscarriages at that point. I bought hardly anything before I was on maternity leave! I just couldn't believe I was really going to have a baby!

Congrats Redbird glad you had a good scan. Boys are great! I'm convinced I'm having another one partly because I think the sonographer let it slip accidentally! I got an appointment for another scan through yesterday which made me panic a bit. After much confusion when I rang antenatal they eventually found the sonographer that had scanned me and she remembered she'd booked me in for an extra one for reassurance due to my previous miscarriages and because there is still a bleed outside the sac. Glad to be so well looked after but not very reassuring when she didn't bother telling me!

Dorita don't worry about movements. It is true what they say about feeling them much earlier with second baby. I didn't feel them until really late with ds. Also think it's probably the position of your placenta.

Glad all going well Daisy.

HJBeans · 03/05/2013 14:39

Congrats redbird, on your little boy - what wonderful news.

Welcome back, daisy, and congrats on your pregnancy.

I'm at nearly 28 weeks and we, too, have done very little to prepare. Very much of the 'buying things will jinx it' mindset, regardless of how silly that looks written out. Luckily, friends are giving loads of things so have some basics in unassembled state...

MrsHerculePoirot · 03/05/2013 13:46

So glad your scan went well redbird - a lovely little boy to look forward to!

Hi all, great to hear your good news story daisy after such difficult times. I know what you mean about waiting to get anything just in case, we have done nothing up to now but pleased to report that we had our 20 week scan this morning and all went well. The sonographer was lovely and explained everything in detail to us and baby was wriggling around with all measurements as they should be. And we found out it is a boy! So now we can start thinking about names and finally start buying some baby things.

Lovely sunny day today and feeling very happy!

MrsHerculePoirot · 02/05/2013 14:51

Hurrah Daisyflower fantastic news, congrats!

DaisyFlower123 · 02/05/2013 14:06

Hi All,
I was part of one of the earlier threads but have since NC and wanted to come back to check in on how others were progressing. Glad to see the happy stories (Jollyb I followed your story and so happy you are doing well!) and sorry for the difficult times some of you are having.
After my 3 consecutive miscarriages last year I am now 36 weeks pregnant and all seems to be well, though I still have my anxious days.
Do feel sad when the anniversaries of each due date have past, last one was only last week (we fell pregnant again straight away) but sort of feel that now those dates are out the way we can focus on DC2s arrival. I think the MCs have definitely knocked both mine and DHs confidence, where as with DC1 we were fully prepared months before arrival, most of things we have brought etc are still packed up as we seem to keep waiting to make sure this will actually happen! I have images of packing maternity bag, putting up crib, etc, etc whilst in full blown labour at this rate!! Anyway just wanted to pop in, wave hello and say how much support I got from this thread especially whilst going through everything last year! Smile

Dorita75 · 01/05/2013 21:33

My letter didn't mention it but I drank a bottle of water, turned out it's not so important this time, as jolly says. The scan nurse said the same so I wouldn't drink too much. Good luck!

Jollyb · 01/05/2013 20:48

Hello everyone - nearly lost you all there.

In answer to the bladder filling question - I don't think it makes a huge difference at the 20 week scan. I wasn't given any specific instructions. I'd ask at the reception desk on arrival and you'll probably have time to 'fill or empty' as needed.

Good to hear of some more healthy scan results. Well done on the job Mrs HP.

Nearly 28 weeks now eek.

Redbird12 · 01/05/2013 19:33

Hi, just a quick question from me to the ladies who have recently had their 20 week scans. Do I need a full bladder or not for this one?
We made the appt at the 12 week scan and have not heard anything from the hospital since so I wasn't sure.

Dorita75 · 01/05/2013 19:01

Double whammy of good news there Mrshp well done on both!

No prods or pokes here. I did have some bubbles last Tuesday and maybe on Sunday but not sure - am trying not to worry too much, it's probably because of the low laying placenta, can apparently affect whether you feel movements or not...

buzzybeetop · 29/04/2013 21:33

Great news Mrs HP. Good to have something else to focus on. I took on a new position at work in November and it was really good for me to get stuck into something new and not just wait to get pregnant. Seemed to help as I got pregnant the next month!

Good luck with the scan Redbird. Looking forward to hearing what colour it is! I'm starting to feel some proper little prods and pokes now which is lovely.
