Thanks jass :)

jass43 · 20/11/2013 18:29

i am not of this thread (too scary mc history to come here), but pixie you felt lonely so congrats here on your bfp and yes, it can very well be 4th time lucky! At our age, 3mc can easily be still bad egg problem and nothing more, so everything crossed you got that golden egg now!

oo00PIXIE00oo · 20/11/2013 18:20

Hi fairy don't give up yet ....... I'm 43 x

Hello is there anybody there Confused I just got a bfp and have no one to share it with and hold my hand for the fourth time lucky .........

oo00PIXIE00oo · 18/11/2013 16:36

Hi Hayley welcome to the thread and am sorry you have found yourself here fingers crossed for you on the 22nd - I have given in to temptation and will be poas this evening I'm 5 days late and sick with nerves.

Have had 2 mc and 1 mmcs in the last 18 months this seems to be a lucky thread for the ladies on here so I will hold your hand if you hold mine

justhayley · 15/11/2013 23:25

Hiya,
can I join?

I had a MC in September and have started TTC again this month.
Will be POAS on November 22nd, (mine & DPs anniversary) am almost petrified of getting a BFP, for fear of another MC, so thought I'd hide out here.

My cycles are completely irregular & DP is military only coming home at weekends so TTC is HARD!
He had 3 weeks leave in August which we were determined to get a BFP. He'l have the same over Christmas so if I'm not pregnant now I better be inJanuary.

I have 1 DS aged 19 months (today). Thats it really please hold my hand for the next week.

X

oo00PIXIE00oo · 15/11/2013 17:49

Can I whisper very quietly...... I'm two days late [hmmm]

AllBoxedUp · 27/10/2013 19:36

Hope this isn't an insensitive post but I had a private scan today and I am 12 weeks pregnant. pixie I really hope things work out for you and I can really understand how you are feeling. Since I had my mc my heart has sank when people have told me their news about pregnancies and I had gone through a lot less than you. I am definitely going to handle telling people this differently compared to how I did with DS (no scan pics on facebook anyway). Thanks for the support on here - sorry I haven't been on here more but it was great to have a place to post and get everything out. I will now go and lurk on other bits of Mumsnet.

MrsHerculePoirot · 25/10/2013 22:18

So sorry pixie, big hugs to you.xxx

Hi mrshp thanks for the kind words, unfortunately AF arrived on schedule :( and I think I'm out of chances am 43 now and have had 3 mc's in the last 18 months the third one back in May since then nothing .....

Will probably have to wait to become a granny now (DH has 2 DDs from a previous 15&18 and I have 1 DD from a previous 10). I asked DH what he wanted for Christmas today and unfortunately he said a son :( oh well it's half term and the 10 year old is of to her G/parents that gives us a week though I'm sure I'm going to stop trying soon - have a great weekend all xx

MrsHerculePoirot · 18/10/2013 19:40

pixie don't apologise, I know too well that horrible, horrible feeling of being pleased but insanely jealous and teary and sad at the same time. I think I must be completely natural and there is no way to control it. I had tbh given up to some extent, got a new job, got rid of everything baby related from our house and it just happened eventually, it took over 2.5 years in the end and for me it was the weight I think that was the real difference. I shall keep talking so you can start the new thread obvs... I will keep everything crossed for you xxx

Hi ladies I'm still here lurking in the background but must admit am finding it more and more difficult dealing with all your good news and I'm mortified that I should be so mean and jealous - sorry :(

AF is due tomorrow and I don't think she will be late .......

Congratulations MrsHP and Polka ... And to all the new babies x

Can everyone please start nagging more on this thread so I can start a new one ;)

Have a great weekend x

AllBoxedUp · 18/10/2013 12:43

Thanks for the replies and sorry for taking so long to reply. I got my NHS scan appointment yesterday and it was for 3 weeks today (which will be over 13 weeks if you take my short cycle into account). I had tried phoning the EPU and they said unless I had pain or bleeding I couldn't get a scan.
So, in the end I have booked a private scan for a week on Sunday. I know there is still a chance things can go wrong but I just want to check. Thanks for the support. Having a crazy week as I had an 2nd interview for an internal promotion in a different team and I found out today I have got it (if I can negotiate on hours). I feel really guilty about the pregnancy and feel I'm being dishonest but I really want the job and things may not work out anyway. Hope everyone else is ok.

Polka2 · 17/10/2013 14:00

allboxed was your mw anyhelp about referring you sooner? My mw and dr have been great and have said (as have EPU) that I can call and come in for a scan anytime due to my history (1mmc and 2mc) and I'm 10wk5 and have had 3 scans so far and have felt alot calmer/less completely terrified about it all. If they can't help I'd definately recommend a private scan. Very good luck.

MrsHerculePoirot · 17/10/2013 14:00

Hi Allboxed. It is hard isn't it - my hospital do reassurance scans in those circumstances so it might be worth asking if yours do them? Have you got your date for your 12 week one now? Is it long away?

OP posts:
Redbird12 · 17/10/2013 13:56

Hi Allboxed, i agree that it's worth paying out for a private scan for the reassurance. I also found they spent more time with me and it was a nicer experience generally.
If anything had gone wrong, i thought i would rather know sooner than later, every additional week of thinking you are pregnant and planning for a baby makes it harder if you find out it's not happening.
Getting to 10 weeks is a good sign though as jolly says, the odds are in your favour so try not to stress too much (though i know how hard this is, even after 12 week scan it wasn't long till i was stressing until 20 week scan!)
Let us know how you get on.

Jollyb · 15/10/2013 14:46

Hi Allboxed . Sorry to hear you're so stressed - the first trimester can be hell.

I think many of us on the thread have had private scans as the wait til 12 weeks felt too long. I think it's a completely reasonable thing to do in our position. The argument against is that if you're going to MC there is nothing you can do. I'd counter that with saying that if I was going to MC I'd rather know - for examples one of my MCs was a blighted ovum ie an empty sac. This was diagnosed at 8 weeks - I hadn't had any bleeding and so I could have easily gone through another 4 weeks thinking all was ok.

Having said this you must remember that the odds are still well and truly in your favour, particularly as you haven't had any bleeding and the chances are that there will be a healthy little bean on your scan.

Am not sure that was much help!

AllBoxedUp · 15/10/2013 10:33

Hello all. I posted a few weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant and I think since then I've almost been in denial that it's happening. I just went for my booking in appointment and was in floods of tears within minutes of sitting down. I am so stressed and the booking in appointment brought everything back (that's when I was referred to the EPU for my scan in February).

I was going to come on here to ask what people thought of going for private scans. I am 10 weeks today and don't think I can bear to wait any longer without knowing. I have been feeling that my pregnancy symptoms aren't that strong and have been convincing myself things are no longer progressing. I've been really encouraged reading the latest posts though and want to send massive congrats to MrsHP. Hopefully the scan date won't take too long to come though. Congratulations to all the new mums as well for getting through to the other side!

Jollyb · 12/10/2013 09:05

So happy for you Mrs HP. I'm not leaving this thread until baby HP arrives safe and sound.

Glad Eleanor and George are both doing well. Emily was 12 weeks yesterday.

I can't believe it but I am actually beginning to think that it would be nice to have another baby. Not sure I could face another MC or first trimester though . . .

Dorita75 · 12/10/2013 08:42

That's brilliant MrsHP! Gotta love those stats!

All good here, Eleanor only woke once for a 30min feed from 10:30-6am so feeling great today!

Our friends made us some bunting for her that had referenced to things we like (Everton, Iron Maiden & Slayer for him) cycling for me and also for my love of detectives, felt images of Inspector Morse and Poirot! With quotes on the reverse so for Poirot it's Rush home for Poirot' taking in my love of Miranda too! Thought you would appreciate it, I'll try and post a pic!

Hope everyone else is doing well.
x

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/10/2013 09:20

Enjoy the cuddles with George Red!

I had another reassurance scan on Weds at 9+5 and all was well, measuring exactly 9+5, heartbeat, wriggly bean - hurrah! Being a maths teachers, knowing that means a 99.4% chance or it being OK now has made me feel a lot better!!!!!

How is everyone else doing?

Redbird12 · 09/10/2013 11:40

Congrats LCR, beautiful name as well. Hope everyone else is well with new babies, pregnancies or TTC. Baby George is keeping me busy but enjoying plenty of cuddles.

Jollyb · 30/09/2013 18:51

Many, many congrats LCR. I too love the name Iris (slightly biased as it is my lovely niece's name).

Dorita75 · 30/09/2013 07:29

Oh congratulations LCR!! I agree, all this good news is amazing when you think back to how we all were a year or so ago. Yayy us, our babies and BFPs!! Xx
