Entrant criteria: TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, OPK & EWCM obsession, NO instadiffers. (Thread 6)

That is very short Sad, mine have varied from 28-36 but settled down since started reflexology to 29 for the past 3 months in a row.

We all love a bit of a pity party

It wouldn't be so bad if I had a decent cycle length, but feeling this horrible every 24 days just sucks!

I shall say no more about the mojo; no jinxing from me!

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 21:17

Must be getting old!

Sorry to hear evil witch is being a hagbag, your AFs sound just awful!

Yes don't scare it away! lol

Boodleandherpotofwonderfulness · 15/03/2013 21:13

Wooooo! We are living the dream... Hmm !

I was meant to be going out tonight with some friends, but have wimped out as AF is being a spiteful moo cow.

Good news about your man's mojo; I don't want to say it too loud in case it's easily scared!

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 21:07

Sat in a Friday night alone watching tv, so rock and roll! Lol

Ghost Town!

I'm guessing everyone is either out having fun or sat on their sofas watching Comic Relief. I'm doing the latter; quite a lot of drivel from the 'slebs, but still humbling to see the documentary shorts.

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 20:19

Berries busy tonight? I'm home alone as hubby is out, even though he tried to hump me before he left, I guess his mojo may be returning Grin

Hi Berries,

Firstly, congratulations Merk. I read your news yesterday but wasn't able to post (well...I was on my kindle and I can't be doing with the faff of typing on it)!

Cycle 20 is well under way now (should namechange to BoodleTheVomitComet) and still no referral letter. Damn it! I am going to ring next week to chase it up. Not a lot to add really. It's that No-Man's Land, just waiting for AF to bugger off so futile DTD can recommence.

Stats (to keep Bunny busy):

Boodle, Cycle 20, waiting for FS appointment, Duchess of LP defect

(I used to be Queen of the LP defect but now I have a 7-9 day comrade in Barking, I felt I ought not be so entitled!)

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 18:00

Here comes a rant......

Aaaaaaagh hubby had call from docs today, his sample was incomplete so he has to do another one!!!

And then my friend decides to remind me that her FOURTH child is due in 9 weeks aaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!

And I've had a very busy day so I am not in the best of moods, wine may be drunken thus evening me thinks!

Rant over! Confused

I read that pip, I found it mildly annoying!

Pipbin · 15/03/2013 16:25

Afternoon ladies. I've just read this about woman who are getting updiffed by smuggling their husbands sperm out of jail. So if they can do that how come I can't manage it when he is in the same sodding room? www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-21658940

Frogcatcher · 15/03/2013 13:47

Lovely to meet you!

Glad you had a good talk about everything Sidney and thanks for the HPT dye trick Merkin. Why don't they just put more dye in them the first place then if that's all it takes?!

Right let shag weekend commence. . Better make sure I wear the right outfit when we go for dinner - i think there was a conversation a while back about what gets them in the mood & for my OH it's shiny or leather clothes (tho he's not immune to a stocking or high heel either). Not leather in a scary gimp mask & dungeon way I might add but in a biker chick way. He will readily admit it's due to watching ONJ in Grease at an impressionable age!

Mind you I'm not going to stress too much this cycle as I want to concentrate on making sure that I know I have O'd, everything is workig as it should etc plus it's the dreaded Xmas baby thing. If it happened this month I'd have a DD of mid-Dec! Could end up being induced on Xmas day

Bunnygirlie · 15/03/2013 13:13

Thanks sid its only been a week today so might get him to call mid next week.

I have my second blood test on tuesday, then I will see the doc for both test results so hopefully will have hubbys results too so she can explain them to me!

thought you'd got lost!

Hello Berries!

Massive hurrah Merkin that's really fab Grin

I've been awol for a bit, trying failing to scale back the ttc preoccupation. Anyway AF arrived today, 3 days early - a whopping 21 day cycle Sad so it's time to get fully preoccupied again.

Going to bother my GP this week as I'm concerned that my progesterone allergy (yay!) might be a problem... don't know why this hasn't occurred to me already, but now it has I'm having a good old worry. Hoping they won't waft me away, I usually get blank looks when I bring it up.

Here's my infos:

PowderPuffs, 31, Cycle 6, BFP due between 4th - 9th April

Sorry to hear about migraine Tally and lurgy Sid - roll on weekend eh!

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 12:15

Well done sid sounds like you're onto a winner this month - have you picked out the perfect pillow?? Good luck, and hope you're feeling better soon too...

SidneyBristow · 15/03/2013 12:14

Not much to add here, raging head cold & DH's family emergency is still going on. we talked last night; I told him how ready I was for this TTC lark to be over, not only bc I want a baby but also bc I want this monthly rollercoaster to end. Said I'm willing to do anything at this point so to be prepared for pre-seed, temp taking, pillows, etc. Happily we're on the same page, and it felt good to admit that I find all this stuff mildly embarrassing but was doing it anyway just to bring an end to this nonsense.

Anyway Bunny I think it was you who asked about SA results - DH had his last Weds, & was given a letter that samples are processed & results sent to GP the following Monday, and to call for results on Weds (1 week since sample delivery). He did, but was told to call again on Fri (today), to give GP time to review the report. Maybe the timeframe is similar in your area?

Here are my revised stats:
SidneyBristow, 38, ttc since July 2012 (now cycle 9), AF/BFP due 8th Apr; blood tests normal, ultrasound 23rd March, awaiting SA results

Sending get well vibes to those of you with the lurgy/migraines and selfishly hoping they do the trick & come back my way; I have it too Sad

barkingtreefrog · 15/03/2013 11:37

I shall give that a go tomorrow O Wise One. Ta!

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 11:23

But to answer your question the pink dye layer isn't 'stuck' in in the first place, it's just sandwiched between the top and the bottom layers

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 11:22

Terrible spelling - sorry. Shout if you need pics...

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 11:21

It's easy... the end you dip (where it says max has 4 layers. The top white shiny layer (that says max), the bottom carboard stiff layer (that forms the back of the strip) and in between two thin fabric/paper layers. On of these is pink. Take the pink one out of a spare HPT or OPK (fingers or tweezers) and put it in toughly the same place in another HPT.
You now have a HPT that has double dye. (and one with no dye so throw that one away)

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 11:15

frog 18th - 20th sounds better than potentially O-ing today! You had me worried for a second then! You need to get to it - if you O on 18th you're well into your fertile window, if you O on the 20th today is your first day of fertile window. I expect you should be jumping him in true Berry style tonight!

barkingtreefrog · 15/03/2013 11:14

How does one double dye?
I read your explanation earlier on the thread, so understand that I'd take the dye from another, but how would I stick it to the other?

CatsCantFlyFast · 15/03/2013 11:12

barking if i were you (watch out crazy lady advice coming) I would double dye... at this point if you are going to get a BFP it will be super super super faint because it's so early. I think mine would have showed up if I'd double dyed on 6DPO.

barkingtreefrog · 15/03/2013 11:00

Tallyra hope it settles. I know what you mean about it being bright but overcast, I'm often driving with sunglasses feeling like an idiot as there's clearly no sun out there!

merkin yep, Not wasting a CM digi one again until I'm waaaay overdue my AF!

frog thinking with my sensible head on briefly it would probably be better not to get upduffed before the clinic appointment next month, as if I got upduffed and it didn't stick I'd have to start again and the clinic wouldn't see me for another year. At least if I remain undiffed I will be able to have the ultrasound/scan etc to see if there's anything up there to explain why it's been 15 months and counting.

Just a pity that the two year old 'not fair' temper tantrum is currently overiding the sensibleness. I think that's just because I have the lurgy and have given up on today and retired back to bed post dog walk. When DP returns to distract me tomorrow night normality will be resumed. Just have too much time to dwell as I don't feel up to all the stuff I was aiming to do today!

Off to find something amusing to watch on laptop in bed.....

Frogcatcher · 15/03/2013 10:58

Just realised I was looking at April in FF - it's predicting 18th - 20th which would be right. Got dinner out with DP & SS tonight so little bugger better be on good behaviour. If he's not then its the most effective contraception around!
