Put on your vest/shades and grab your weapons, it's Action Hero Time.

The BESH are experts in all matters action, but specialise in taking out the local droids and sometimes Druids Wink

Cover me, I'm going in!

I was planning to tone it down a bit, but I have read that exercise is good as it increases blood flow to the womb. It seems there is no common advice on this. My clinic just said nothing too vigorous and no swimming for a few days (because of the infection risk after all the procedures, which is fair enough). I really don't understand the "special" advice that some clinics give to women in the IVF 2ww. Once you have given your body a chance to recover from EC and ET you should be in the same position as any other woman in the 2ww and there the NHS advice is that it is fine to keep doing whatever you were doing before, but not take up any new exercise.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 10:31

I use ignominious every day Doesn't everyone?

Re the question, I've heard a lot against both, Euro, but particularly vigorous exercise.

EuroShagmore · 05/02/2013 10:24

You're as bad as KFZK, Rie. I'm not going to break! I was actaually planning on gymming tonight after a few days off post EC and ET, but now I have been invited for a drink. Which do you think is the baddest IVF behaviour - exercise or alcohol?*

*Pointless question cos I'm obviously going to go for the drink!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/02/2013 10:12

Rie I can't believe you got the word 'ignominious' into a chat fred! Grin

See when I think of 'Barry', I think of . My nephew is a bit obsessed with him!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 09:57

Will no one think of Barry?

The thing about him having such amazing spaff is that it brings home how barren I must be :(

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 09:56

Quit the chin ups. Remember Barry.

EuroShagmore · 05/02/2013 09:50

I also think the good swimmers get propelled through the cervix v quickly (love the Bruce Willis up a lift shaft simile). It's only the crud that would never manage to finish the tubal marathon anyway that would get collected in the cup. Wasn't there a BESH who got diffed from swi when she got up and went for a run afterwards?

I do remember in the halcyon days, when I was still merely contemplating ttc and had an accidental chem preg behind me so I thought I would get diffed easily , deciding that I would get up and jump around after swi so that only the really strong swimmers made it though. Extreme natural selection. Now we are down to them being dumped right on top of the egg in a petri dish in a lab in Wimbledon.

Rie 130m is amazing.

Well done norf

Northey · 05/02/2013 06:19

Yo bitches. Ahem.

Nothing much to report. Second swirly mixy injection done, and managed without a big air bubble this morning too. It does make me late to get up though - all the faffing about takes me a good 15 minutes.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 04/02/2013 23:30

Looking elegant, of course. Not like a beached whale Hmm

Evening schlags! Marking spot to keep an eye on progress. A day for new freds, just started a PESH one too. Rooting for a cluster diff!

I don't think using a mooncup after the sechs is any more helpful than sticking your legs in the air and I'm skeptical about. Surely the rapid swimmers are straight out the starting blocks and up your cervix anyways?

That's a bit weird sinks. Tonight I got a sponsored ad about 'Exploring your fertility' Hmm. Generally I get pelvic floor toners Confused

captainmoll · 04/02/2013 23:23

I don't get how moon cup would help really. Seems more likely to encourage thrush or something with the wrong kind of fluid sitting around in yer fanjo for hours.

captainmoll · 04/02/2013 23:19

130 million?! Fuck Yeah!

BE should get his SA results tomorrow. I'm feeling quite nervous more confident than Clint Eastwood faced with a punk on his lucky day.

maamalady · 04/02/2013 23:18

Exactly, Twinks, so the mooncup is only going to hold the crappy sperm in the wrong place anyway. I wonder if the man's jizz force ejaculatory velocity has any impact on likelihood of diffage?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/02/2013 23:08

MrA had 130 million spermz at the last count, which I'm told is quite something. Unfortunately only 3% are swimming properly.

TWinklyLittleStar · 04/02/2013 23:07

I am not watching History, as I only got in about half an hour ago. I went swimming after work so I needed to wash my hair and eat everything in sight :)

TWinklyLittleStar · 04/02/2013 23:06

Doesn't matter apparently. The good sperms shoot up your cervix like Bruce Willis up a lift shaft, and they're the only ones with a chance of getting to the ovary. Zita West says so.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/02/2013 23:02

The leakage has always bothered me somewhat. You know that first pee after SWI? And it all falls into the loo?

maamalady · 04/02/2013 23:00

I doubt it works, anyway. All the jizz goes into the cup, but the cervix does not, so how would it help? It is handy for leak prevention, though Grin

maamalady · 04/02/2013 22:59

I only use my mooncup after SWI when droid is still present, but seeing as I have fortnight-long droids it seems reasonable! Wearing it more than that would do my head in, I think.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/02/2013 22:54

Anyone reading the Mooncup thread? Apparently we should bung one up there after SWI. Keeps all the spermz close to the cervix. Worth a shot after three years I'll give anything a go

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/02/2013 22:45

Anyone watching the History??? I love History, me.

TWinklyLittleStar · 04/02/2013 22:43

Sinky I think it might have something to do with FB eating your cookies?

Fuck yeah

SinkyMalinks · 04/02/2013 22:35

Er.... Facebook adverts.

Gone are the baby clothes and post pregnancy weight loss.

I've got 3 separate adverts for ivf. One in Norway. Wtf! I am aware of nothing on my facebook that would indicate I'm in the market for ivf.

Confused. And [a bit worried]
