Put on your vest/shades and grab your weapons, it's Action Hero Time.

The BESH are experts in all matters action, but specialise in taking out the local droids and sometimes Druids Wink

Cover me, I'm going in!

I need a haircut. Though I could just wear this bandana headband thing, as befits a topp action hero.

maamalady · 05/02/2013 19:27

My hairdresser is a bit efficient at drying my hair, it's the only thing about the place I'm not fond of :( Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 19:19

I love it too, draf. In fact I find it very sensual.

maamalady · 05/02/2013 19:15

Me too, Norf My futility friend shows I am currently on cycle 30, but I only started charting in Sept 2010, having been TTC since the January. It's really depressing.

On the plus side, I am taking the car in for a service tomorrow, and while I'm in town I shall be getting my hair cut. :) I love having other people wash and dry my hair, it's the most luxurious thing.

Northey · 05/02/2013 18:36

It is a bit depressing actually, to look back through my cycle diary, bugs. I almost wish I didn't have it.

Oh and I POAS and 15 times. Just to make sure I was still diffed!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/02/2013 14:00

Eating is vairy important. I got dizzy when I went too long between meals and drinks.

Wish me luck. I'm about to sit through 2 hours training just so I can make my patients a cuppa and a piece of toast of they want one Hmm

JethroTull · 05/02/2013 13:34

Thanks Hags. Just reading this has made me feel better. I am planning to POAS when I get home - just to reassure me. That and eating. Becuase Eating Is Good.

DolomitesDonkey · 05/02/2013 13:34

Oh actually - early days = 3am wakings for Weetabix - was sooo hungry.

DolomitesDonkey · 05/02/2013 13:33

Jeffers I didn't have early symptoms with either of mine and didn't have achey boobs at any point during either pregnancy. I did vomit constantly from 6+3 with #1 and from 4+5 with #2 though. You don't need to be able to tick off all the symptoms to be pregnant and it probably won't feel at all real until your scan. x

FriendofDorothy · 05/02/2013 13:14

Jeffers I had next to no symptoms either. No sickness or anything. Just felt bloody knackered but even that fluctuated.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 05/02/2013 12:54

I pee'd on fivers - well a selection in case one type of test brand was faulty and giving false positives Hmm daily for a week jeff. It reassured me to see the lines getting darker. I had days when I hadn't puked for a few hours, that would panic me. Then I'd puke and wish I could stop! But it's early days....it'll depend on what your hormones are doing and how you respond as to how you feel. There's a thread in pregnancy at least once a week where someone expresses exactly the concerns you have. Doesn't mine it's not a sticky bean. Just that everyone is different. My sister never had any sickness, just felt tired.

euro I would go with a everything in moderation approach. During the tww I was drinking and more active than normal (on holiday and cycling everywhere!). Obviously you've had more invasive treatment so take it a bit easier but just try to enjoy yourself :)

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 12:48

Jeff, thing is my lovely, is you've never been diffed so you don't know how it's supposed to feel. It's only natural to be paranoid after all this time. To echo Euro, could peeing on another fiver help? Seeing the line again?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 05/02/2013 12:35

Twinks, either that or I can be the femme fatale that seduces the hero Wink

Disclaimer - I'm not doing Arnie/Sly/Bruce or any others of that ilk. I will however take one for the team and allow Daniel Craig to shag me senseless Grin

frank that way if you find yourself joining rie and making up two thirds of Charlies Angels, you can go to the party and not have to be the angel going undercover as a waitress. Like it.

I have a Day Off today. It is delightful. I almost don't know what to be doing with myself, although I am going to a pub quiz in LondonTown tonight. Happily non-parents will outnumber parents 2:1, so hopefully I won't have to hear about Surestart this time. I'm still not drinking, which could be interesting given that I am being attacked vair painfully by the Droid, and have always found a glass of red wine to be a great help.

EuroShagmore · 05/02/2013 12:22

*advise not advice.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 05/02/2013 12:20

Ballroom and Latin Twinks, not veh action hero I know but could be useful for undercover work Wink

EuroShagmore · 05/02/2013 12:20

Jeff it's normal for symptoms to come and go. Would POAF help do you think?

I've tried stopping exercising in the 2ww. Like everything else, it made no bloody difference. I read up on this quite a lot and I cannot find any scientific reason why resting/not exercising in the 2ww would help. One article I read suggested some clinics advice it because then you have no reason to blame yourself if it doesn't work - not for any non-psychological reason. I do think however that if the ovaries are still swollen after IVF drucks that is a reason not to push your body, not least because you could end up with an ovarian torsion, apparently. On normal/natural cycles I can't see any reason for it. But everyone has to do what they are comfortable with.

But anyway, I will be going for a drink tonight.

TWinklyLittleStar · 05/02/2013 12:15

The thing with TTC for ages is that we've been symptom spotting for so long, its virtually impossible to imagine being diffed without them. But looking on the boards, and speaking to my sister and some friends, the only symptom they have is lack of droid, maybe a teeny bit of nausea. So do try to not let it worry you.

JethroTull · 05/02/2013 12:09

I agree with everyone else on the drink vs. exercise debate. I stopped running whilst I had the IVF shiz. I walked the dog A LOT though as I felt that keeping moving & getting outside was helpful to my state of mind. Having a drink & being out with friends is the much more favourable option.

I'm having a complete meltdown today. I don't feel diffed at all. No symptoms. I was an hour late for work this morning as I couldn't pull myself together enough to get out of the house.

TWinklyLittleStar · 05/02/2013 11:54

What type of dance frank? I used to be a fan of a dance class, but I did an adult beginners ballet class and it turned out that I was the only beginner, and the only one there that Heat magazine would describe as 'curvy.' Combined with my lack of natural grace, I did an excellent impression of the hippos in tutus from Fantasia.

euro enjoy your evening out. I am sure that it will relax you, and stress + strenuous exercise = 2 bad things for emBarryO, whereas a little drink is only one slightly, not even really bad thing. Go with the numbers.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 05/02/2013 11:16

I'm in the nothing too strenuous after ov camp. I shall not be doing my Shred again for a few weeks - Wii Fit Step Class and a walk at lunchtime (plus the 3 dance lessons I have booked in the coming 2 weeks Grin) will be my limit.

OP posts:
EuroShagmore · 05/02/2013 10:55

I couldn't do that, 2ww, or not!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 05/02/2013 10:45

I don't know, to be honest. Just don't go running any marathons.
