Good luck euro! I've everything I can crossed and have prayed to my preferred choice of deity.

Yes keep your bag closed Norf! :)

Northey · 13/02/2013 07:27

Good luck today euro.

I packed my bag this morning with a pile of work papers, three pairs of knickers and two boxes of suppositories. I really hope I don't accidentally spill all that in the office.

EuroShagmore · 12/02/2013 21:07

I just go with "adverse behaviour at all times". Grin

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/02/2013 20:43

Oh yes, to rub it all in, I'm currently reading some scientific papers on managing horses for breeding. The one on top of the pile?

"The Problem Mare"

Sums us all up really Hmm

I may have a lot of ishoos, but I can be thankful that I don't have "poor perineal confirmation" or "adverse behaviour when in oestrus" like the lot I'm reading about Grin

Norf, with you on the emotional stuff. I've just listened to that telesummit thing and seem to have spent most of it in tears. It was mostly about EFT -Emotional Freedom Tapping - which is that tappy thing Paul McKenna does. Seems to work, I feel less of a wreck now at least!

Droid is due anytime between 16th and 18th Euro. Clinic reckons 18th, assuming 14/15dpo, but my first cycle on the drucks crashed to an end on 13dpo.

No particular time. Apparently I just rock up to get the form and then go and get blood drawn and then sit in the office googling frantically and doing no work until they call me . I'll go on the way into the office, of course, to try to get the results as early as possible!

I found the lead up to EC the hardest part. I was in a right state about it. As well as the general stress of IVF, I hate hospitals and panic about being out of control (and being knocked out it the epitome of that). I was in a mess (and apparently growled rudely at everyone who came to speak to me beforehand - -KFZK told me off afterwards Blush). I also had a stonking headache from missing breakfast/stress. When I woke up, it was all over and whatever would happen would happen. The stress levels lifted a bit then. So what I am trying to say is that once you get through the next 36 hrs, it gets a bit easier.

Northey · 12/02/2013 20:11

It's just been an emotional day, euro. From my first little sob at the thought of penguins to my last little sob at doing the last injection.

What time is blood tomorrow?

EuroShagmore · 12/02/2013 19:50

Norf my clinic did EC 35 hrs after I took my trigger, so think there is a wee bit of leeway. I found being tipsey when I did mine really quite helpful. :)

Are you doing ok? I know this makes it all seem more real now. But really, you are on the home stretch - EC, then ET, then some absolutely menkul WOOFLING.

Frank when is Droid due?

Thanks for all the menkulling assistance ladies. The difficulty with being on the progesterone is that I can't be sure what is due to that and what is due to possible diffage.

I am feeling v crampy this evening - just like droid is about to turn up. I even thought I felt the first trickle an hour or so ago (for some reason, the first trickle always "tickles" me) and dashed off for some frantic knicker checking, but all seems well.

Northey · 12/02/2013 19:36

Yup. 8am.

I feel weirdly upset now, having taken the trigger. Have been sitting by the fire, thinking back through the whole TTC history. I can't even remember starting any more.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/02/2013 19:18

If you can access this link it might be worth listening to. It's from that Fertility Focus thing I linked to before. It's about the Emotional Aspects of Infertility. It's only available until 10pm tonight.

Good work Norf. EC is Thursday then?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/02/2013 19:04

Thinking egg laying thoughts for you Norf

Done! Well. There we go.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/02/2013 18:48

Yes get it out of the fridge for a bit Norf - I always get my drucks out of the fridge 15/20 mins before stabbing time.

Happy stabbing!

Am home with 15 mins to spare! Did someone tell me that ovitrelle is more comfortable is brought to room temp, or did I imagine that?

JethroTull · 12/02/2013 18:37

hmmmm wind Euro? I am trumping like a trooper. What? You didn't want to know that?

Norf hope you get home in time.

Casssssssss

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 12/02/2013 18:32

Make haste Norf

Famous Five was a very lucky fred, we should revisit it again in the not to distant future.

arf @ "positive conveyor belt of vaginas"

Casserole · 12/02/2013 18:28

Farting definitely increased in early diffment from what I recall :)

Northey · 12/02/2013 17:56

I luffed the Famous Five too I wish it were the hols again.

Northey · 12/02/2013 17:54

7pm. And they do egg collection exactly 37 hours later, with a positive conveyor belt of vaginas all day, so if I get my timing wrong they can't do me later.

I have made the train though. Fingers crossed for no delays...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 12/02/2013 17:43

If you're late you just have to call the clinic first thing tomorrow norf to see whether they can reschedule. But continue flapping all the way home, stab and then a belly slide!

Progesterone makes one farty, true fact. Sadly the diff-flatulence makes a reappearance nearly every cycle, I am sure something was done to my poor insides those few weeks... But yes, euro it was my first symptom! Keeping stuff crossed.

As I have missed the penguin-fun I shall keep quiet, but I am happy with any theme, although I luffed both the famous five and victorian gentlemen.

A sort of squeaky honk, I reckon. Or a honky squeak.

Hurtling to station in a cab, desperately trying to get home in time for trigger shot. How did I end up mis-timing my departure from work so badly?
