We actively started TTC#3 yesterday. I have a DD1 who is almost 8yrs & DD2 who is 13 months.

Scared about going from 2-3 but excited at same time Grin

Leaf my DH will watch OBEM but not Call the Midwife.

OP posts:
canadajin · 02/02/2013 21:13

Yep, my DH the same about OBEM especially now we're TTC.

Hate this waiting! Forgot what it was like as DD was conceived when DS was only 6 months... Bit if a shock!

Only had my coil out 2 weeks ago but was ovulating that day and we DTD day before and that day. Am far too impatient for this.

Leafmould · 02/02/2013 19:16

Hi everyone. . . I am on the pointless thread, so not a defo ttcer yet!

Does anyone else dp really not get why we love Watching OBEM so much?

My dp is decidedly Hmm about it. Perhaps it's because the only programmes I watch are call the midwife and OBEM!

QueenofClean · 02/02/2013 12:30

How about you?

QueenofClean · 02/02/2013 12:30

Choc - I have no plans to celebrate really. My dad's birthday is next day and we normally have a family meal.
However, DH has taken day off work and told me I need to also so not sure what's happening Grin

chocoholicalcoholic · 02/02/2013 12:22

Oooh I'm on the 2ww as of today too. Fingers crossed to you both!

Queen - I'm 30 this year also, what are your plans to celebrate?

QueenofClean · 02/02/2013 11:33

Thanks Fairy Grin

Fairypants · 02/02/2013 11:17

Fingers x for you both.

thethreeblondies · 02/02/2013 10:43

I'm in the dreaded 2WW too! We have undertaken a mammoth spring cleaning exercise and are sorting out the loft, what fun! But the planned loft conversion will be good extra space (hopefully just in time for number three Smile )

DH leapt out of bed this morning, think I've scared him this cycle with my plan of eod (and a couple more for luck!)

QueenofClean · 02/02/2013 10:24

Choc as of today I'm on my 2ww. Wish I was still in bed, I'm at the leisure centre waiting for DD1 to finish her swimming lesson.

6 days till I'm the big 30!

chocoholicalcoholic · 02/02/2013 09:52

Ooops posted too soon! Is anyone on their 2ww yet?

Toffee - did you have a good birthday?

Enjoy the weekend everyone, I'm still in bed Grin

chocoholicalcoholic · 02/02/2013 09:50

Hello all new additions, I'm glad there's quite a few of us thinking about a 3rd.

Thingymajigs · 02/02/2013 08:12

So sorry canadajin. Fingers crossed for next time.
Sounds good Queenofclean. Smile I think I need a good dose of positivity.
Currently 7dpo and quite relaxed and blasé this month. This might change in a few days however.

QueenofClean · 02/02/2013 06:42

Welcome Thingymajig & Canadajin.

Hopefully with all our TTC3 baby dust we should all have BFP in no-time Smile

I can! Sorry, iPhone autocorrect

canadajin · 01/02/2013 21:26

Just got BFN after being convinced I was preggers. TTC #3 with DS 3.5 and DD 2. At least Ivan enjoy a drink tonight. But still...grrrrr

Thingymajigs · 01/02/2013 19:27

Hi, I've been TTC my third for 8 cycles now...? Depressingly, I've lost count. I honestly thought I would fall pregnant the first time as I did with my other two (12 and 9 year old boys) but my body isn't being as cooperative. I had my first two very young and now I'm 31 and starting from scratch it seems. My DP is so incredibly excited about TTC, it's adorable really.
Good luck to all of you.

toffee01 · 01/02/2013 19:19

OBEM always makes me cry. I LOVE IT! Especially due to the fact that I had a fantastic birth with number 2!

QueenofClean · 01/02/2013 17:56

Fairy - this weeks OBEM made me cry - blooming broody hormones!

I shall enjoying trying that's if DH feels up to it anyway!

Fairypants · 01/02/2013 17:10

Btw I'm currently catching up on OBEM online back to back-dd2 wants to be a midwife now!!!

Fairypants · 01/02/2013 17:09

Yay queen- even if you don't get anywhere, it's good to enjoy trying!! :)
Wish I could already.
You keep at it mumof, it's no bad thing for kids to share a room specially when they are close in age.

QueenofClean · 01/02/2013 10:06

Everyone is better Chez Queen Grin

So maybe we can try to get in there for this month but doubt it very much!

Just watching this weeks OBEM - Broodiness to the full!

Well i'm glad there are a few on here 'thinking' about ttc so I don't feel such a fraud ;-)

Fairypants and Choco- yep I think he may be at tipping point though I'm still holding my breath. I sent him an email (as I'm not sure he's been taking me seriously) to read at work- so I think a serious chat is iminent- I think his worries are financial and space. We have a 4 bed house but one bedroom is an office- so I guess my boys will have to share- I think they'd like it -like you choco- mine would love a bunk bed but eldest is only 3 1/2 so a few years before he's old enough for that.... Could get rid of the office but OH works at home a few days a week...

I think it would feel a bit cramped but it doesn't stop me wanting another!!

Fairypants- I think OH may do the same and go along with it because it's what I want- my only reservation here is he has a good knack of blaming me when things go wrong- so if things were hard, child was ill, money tight etc he'd probably blame me! (like the cat is always 'mine' if it's been sick or being a pain) and that would drive me crazy!

I've even thought along the lines of going on the pill and being 'lazy' about taking it but that would be dangerous and I'd always have that thought in the back of my mind that I'd planned the 'mistake'... not a good way to do things despite how easy it would be!....

well, I'll keep chipping....

good luck to those of you already trying- am tres jealous!!

toffee01 · 31/01/2013 21:51

I've been convinced I was pregnant today (defo phantom pregnancy!!) as I was feeling extremely nauseous (had a super fast lunch in my car that's why!) and we did it unprotected with DH as it was only the 8th day of my cycle (that's a first for us normally we use condoms religiously but this time I thought the 8th day of my cycle was safe enough).
But I seemed to ovulate early this month (if I ovulate at all these days, I have no idea).
I am still unsure about actually trying for n#3 but I thought, at least if I'm pregnant now I could say I fell pregnant at 36 as tomorrow I will be 37 Wink

Fairypants · 30/01/2013 21:25

Hello everyone,
Popsy- I have no delusions, I will be am sooo obsessed about this. I haven't 'tried' before so very excited and I'm rather obsessive at the best of times. :)
I'm not too worried about age. Most of my friends were in their late 30's early 40's when they had their first. They did seem to find it harder than me (I was 20) but having #3 at this age is not the same as having #1.
Mumof - I gave up on convincing DH in the end- he is doing this simply to make me happy because he understands it means a lot to me and will earn him major points. It sounds like your DH might be close to tipping point. :)
Fingers x for you white (and for the rest of you already ttc).
