Looking good, 2cats!!! Grin

janey1234 · 14/02/2013 13:49

They did, a bunch of us within 2 weeks or so Smile

You'll prob have to wait for first pee of the day now, all more diluted in daytime apparently.

Argh, the stress...

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 13:37

did the bfp's start coming all at the same time last time? I am not holding out hope as another pee stick has nada, not even a shadow!

happylass · 14/02/2013 13:26

Woohoo 2cats this sounds very promising! Fingers crossed the line gets darker and this marks the start of a new round of BFPs! Grin

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 11:07

Don't worry I am one of these weird people that get my hopes up every month (and make it worse by staring at evap lines)! I will keep you posted. And yes rache1 me and my OH successfully managed to shag once at the right time this month. I think I might start a blog called how NOT to get pregnant!!

Oh and on a separate link heres a pic that made me smile... very accurate!

janey1234 · 14/02/2013 10:47

Oh 2cats it all sounds very promising! Trying hard not to get your hopes up too much, but as rache says, a line is a line... Apparently you can get a false negative but never a false positive!

I used FRER when I got my BFP.
AF 2.10.12
Positive OPK 15.10.13 (am)
EWCM 15.10.13 (pm)
BFP 26.10.13
(AF would have been due around 28th 29th Oct as usually have shorter cycles than 28 days)

I got a negative on 24.10.13 on FRER (as I was going out boozing I thought I'd better check! oops!) although when I looked at it a few days later there was the teeniest, faintest line, that I def didn't notice at the time. Not sure if that means anything though, or if that's just what happens.

Good luck!

Oh and look at rache and I still stalking you all, waiting for your BFP's.

Pip - so sorry about your news BUT at least you know what it is. IVF can be draining but is massively successful - I have a few friends that have had children by IVF - so fingers crossed for you the wait isn't too long and it works quickly for you Smile. Who knew that bloody cystitis could be such a bastard Sad

Rache1S · 14/02/2013 10:46

And what a Valentines gift for your OH! Grin

Rache1S · 14/02/2013 10:44

And we want you to graduate! We want all of you to graduate!

Ah right, that is mega early then. My Sister got her first very feint BFP at 8 DPO and then watched the line get progressively darker over the next week or so. She reckons she spent more on tests that week than she spent on food! Grin

I tested and got a strong line on a FRER at 12 DPO, although my implantation dip wasn't until 10 DPO so I assume I would have got nothing at your stage.

Was it was you that was saying you'd only managed to DTD once this cycle? There's hope for everyone if you've hit the jackpot off one shag! Grin

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 10:30

only 9 or 10 dpo.. i have one FRER that i'm going to save until i've got a more definate line as i believe the internet cheapies are more sensitive than the FRER. FX this line gets darker as I want to graduate!!

Rache1S · 14/02/2013 10:28

How many DPO are you? Maybe you could try a FRER?

I believe a false negative is impossible though as the HCG is either there or it isn't, so even a feint, squinty, blink-and-you-might-miss-it line is still a positive!

How exciting! Grin

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 10:12

I think it's how many times will I POAS today??? I'm not yet convinced it's a line (I don't think a smudge counts) but i'm hoping it'll turn into one....

Rache1S · 14/02/2013 09:51

Woohoo!!! A line is a line! Grin

Huge congratulations 2cats! How many tomes do you think you'll POAS over the next week? Grin

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 09:41

It's ever so slightly more obvious in real life!

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 09:40

It's easiest to see it (with one eye shut and the laptop tilted at a strange angle) while inverted... www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?method=invert&testID=26386

2cats222 · 14/02/2013 09:21

ooh ooh very very very very faint line on my pee stick. As in my eyes have nearly fallen out straining to see something that isn't there but there is a shadow evap! am struggling to get it to be visible on a photo thought

Bunnygirlie · 14/02/2013 08:26

Nowt wrong with being weird boodle

I have never poas since TTC, never been late!

captainmoll · 14/02/2013 00:14

Boodle, I get that all the time!

Boodle9 · 13/02/2013 23:25

The word 'never' is starting to look strange and lose all meaning to me. Anyone else get that if they see a word written down too much? Is it just me? Is it one to add to my list of weirdness?!

Boodle9 · 13/02/2013 23:23

Grin @ shocking bum sex revelation! That game throws up all kinds of trouble! (I love it too!!!)

Interestingly, I have never had anyone say they have never had I have never POAS come up in a game of I have never...

Wink
2cats222 · 13/02/2013 23:09

Incidently I have never had I have never POAS come up in I have never

2cats222 · 13/02/2013 23:08

bunny I am POAS daily... Only because AF is not due for 6 days!

boodle I love I have never! I once had a friend (a bridesmaid at my wedding 5 weeks ago) who is the most pure girl you ever meet admit to bum sex. I literally couldn't shut my mouth for a week, shock (the combination of her and bum sex with no indication whatsoever)!!!

Boodle9 · 13/02/2013 22:56

Well, I'm a whopping 6DPO and am already getting the faintest hint of spotting. Don't anyone get excited that it's an implantation bleed. It's not. I always start spotting 6 - 8 DPO, with AF following right behind.

Never had POAS action, despite TTC for 18 cycles. It's the most depressing card I have to play in the 'I have never...' drinking game!

Bunnygirlie · 13/02/2013 22:34

Thanks boodle it's good to know what to expect Smile

Any POAS action coming up?!?

Pipbin · 13/02/2013 21:54

Thanks for your thoughts guys.
I did know the results kind of before today as the consultant told me after the op.
3 months is good as it'll give us a chance to get into the new house, assuming it all goes to plan, before we get started on that.

I asked what had caused it, and he said that it was an infection at some point. Now I know I tested clear for every STD a while ago so I think it was caused by a bad case of cystitis that I had about 5 years ago. Anyway, it doesn't really matter what caused it. The fact is it happened.

To be quite honest I'll be OK if it never happens. I really will. There was a time I thought I would die if I didn't have children but I know that I could deal with it now.

Boodle9 · 13/02/2013 21:19

Evening ladies!

Bunny, when I first went to my doctor about TTC problems (Sep 2012), he didn't say a lot really. Asked me how long I'd been TTC, did I have regular periods, etc. He then just ordered day 21 tests. I know thyroid and progesterone checks were definitely done in there but on the screen he was ticking loads of boxes! Don't know what they all were and probably never will as it was only my thyroid that came back problematic (though not high enough for treatment...that's a whole other story). It was very much a 'done in 3 minutes' appointment!

After that, I suppose my journey has been specific to me, but I will gladly share! I was told to go back in 3 months (Dec 2012) for repeat bloods to check thyroid. I moved house in that time so these tests were done with a new doctors. I went to see her to get the tests ordered and she decided that she would also get my day 3 tests done (to check FSH levels). I think some docs are sharp enough to get these ordered straight away, so maybe you'll be booked in for these too! I had these done and thyroid was still high but not high enough to get told anything other than 'we'll check it again in 6 months'. Nothing else came back as a problem, though she said my progesterone was 29.4 and they want to see 30 to absolutely confirm ovulation. This bothered me as whilst I'm sure I ovulate (due to temping - more of that shortly) I have short LP and wondered if this could be progesterone linked. Anyway, she wasn't done with me. She had me in for swabs a week later to check for infections (all clear) and she then referred me to hospital for ultrasound (abdominal and vaginal). My appointment was mid- January. I then returned to doc, got the all-clear and am now waiting for referral.

I appreciate it's probably only the first paragraph that interests you, but once I'm on a roll, I don't shut up easily. Smile It's been pretty quick in the grand scheme of things, but this is where I think things will now grind to a halt.

Sidney, I'm a long-term "temper" and I don't find it stressful at all. I've said this on here before, but if you just set your alarm 30-45 mins early, shove it under your tongue immediately and, as 2cats said, you can doze back off once you've heard the beeps! The 'Babymad' thermometer on Amazon allows you to see the last temperature taken when you press and hold the 'on' button, so you can just look and record your temperature when you actually get up. I'm really glad I've been temping. My doc practically laughed me out of her office with them bitch but I'm hoping they'll be of interest to the consultant. They definitely show clear Ov and luteal phase patterns. Hopefully you'll get pregnant before you need them, but if things don't go as smoothly as you want, you've got those for reference.

Boodle over and out!
