No worries :-)

navis176 · 17/02/2013 21:58

2cats - sorry af got you Sad

I wonder if I should start temping....loads of you seem to do it. Has anyone done it and then stopped because it was too much hassle/to stressful/didn't really achieve anything??

Soph80 · 17/02/2013 21:47

oh I'm getting you mixed up with someone else. I thought you'd not DTD due to having a hsg (when they inject dye into your fallopian tubes). x

twinklestar2 · 17/02/2013 21:35

Looks like there's a few of us on here that have been trying a looooooong time.

Boodle9 · 17/02/2013 21:20

Hello everyone.

Mega evil period in full swing over here. Have thrown up twice today. Niiiiiiice. So, for me, it's CD1 and the start of my 19th cycle.

I've tried all kinds of vitamins and supplements; can't bring myself to list them all as not only will it be embarrassing, it will also take ages! At the moment, just sticking to my sanatogen multivit and a magnesium supplement that was recommended to improve PMS.

Unlikely to be able to try this month due to badly timed work commitments for DH. Sad Will just continue to hope that my appointment comes through soon. Major limbo at the moment. FX for people still in with a chance this month.

twinklestar2 · 17/02/2013 20:33

Appt is referral to fertility clinic. Have had bloods, didlocam, SA, etc

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2013 20:13

What is an hsg?

I'm a natural pessimist so even after only 9 cycles I say due AF not BFwhatever Confused

twinkle what's your appt for?

Soph80 · 17/02/2013 20:07

Twinkle - this is our 20th cycle, hence my pessimism. I this your first appointment?

twinklestar2 · 17/02/2013 19:50

I'm due on next week too.
Note I don't say BFP, after 19 months I don't have much hope.
Off to the Fertility clinic next weds.

Soph80 · 17/02/2013 19:10

well we've shagged our asses off this month but given my track record, I aint holding out much hope either! Was it you who said you'd had a hsg this month? x

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2013 18:59

Anybody else due to POAS anytime soon?

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2013 18:58

Hey Soph yep AF due 26th I think, although had another disastrous month not DTD so I'm not holding my breath. I fully expect the witch to arrive in a week or so grrrrrr

Soph80 · 17/02/2013 18:50

Bunny - i think I've got about 9 days too so we can hold hands and stop each other from doing too much POAS or not x

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2013 18:15

Thanks ladies, will just stick with plain folic acid me thinks.

2cats sorry evil witch got you!

I still have another 9ish days till AF due, it still seems so far away to be able to try again. I just dread another disappointing month of trying and not succeeding to even DTD more than twice in a month, it's so depressing!

Had friends round today with their 9 week old, had a big snuggle with him, hoping some baby vibes will rub off on me loo

happylass · 17/02/2013 16:35

Bunny I've probably taken everything on the market at some point! Plain folic acid, Sanatogen, Seven Seas. On the Pregnacare at the moment. Haven't noticed any ill effects other than my FMU turning illuminous! Have read some posts about it affecting cycles though and I think I may have OVd late so will wait and see if it affects AF.
Aquarius I would start temping straight away. When do you think you are due to OV? You may just squeeze enough readings in to recognise it shoot up.
2cats boo to AF. Sure she is on her way to me, the cramps and bloating have just started......

Aquarius1 · 17/02/2013 15:10

Thanks 2cats. Sorry about af and boo to having weird cycles - I've had my fair share of those too Hmm

2cats222 · 17/02/2013 12:53

Aquarius, start straight away, it takes a while to recognise the patterns for your cycle so the more temps you can get the better (ie next cycle you will be able to compare your temps from CD12 onwards to this cycle)
AF arrived this morning (much earlier than expected, v short cycle by my normal standards) so I'm out. Seems both FF and I were wrong about O (assuming LP length never changes). This cycle was very odd from beginning to end so onwards and upwards to hopefully a more normal cycle AND one where I get shagging properly!! Good luck to everyone in the 2WW

Aquarius1 · 17/02/2013 12:42

Bunny I take sainsburys cheapie conception support multi vits. I think it gives me the squits sometimes (sorry tmi) and I don't always remember to take it.

Talking of not remembering things I've ordered a bbt thermometer which arrived last week and I haven't started using it yet. Can I start part way through my cycle (cd12) or should I wait til next cycle?

navis176 · 17/02/2013 11:13

hey bunny - oh and I have been taking pregnacare for the last couple of months, but fat lot of good it has done us, so I'll probably just go back to just taking folic acid as fairy says when our supply runs out...

MotherOfCleo · 17/02/2013 10:10

I take immuncare (i think thats what they're called) they're not specific pregnancy ones but they have all the same vits and extra D3. People on ivf are told to take D3 as it helps implantation so I thought Id try including it. This month Im also taking extra b6 for 2 reasons, to help regulate my hormones (which its doing, im calmer and less moody) and to hopefully stop post ov spotting (fx). Im also taking extra vit e, vit c and zinc to boost fertility. Heres hoping! It makes me feel like Im doing something, I felt a bit powerless as TTC is so emotionally draining and taking extra vits kind of gives me some control and piece of mind.....daft I know. Blush

Fairydogmother · 17/02/2013 09:40

I take tesco conception multi vits as I had a huge allergic reaction to pregnacare! My Gp prescribed me folic acid and said that was all was needed if I had a balanced diet. I sometimes just take the folic acid as I do seem v sensitive to vitamins and what the tablet is made from x

Bunnygirlie · 17/02/2013 09:30

Very quiet on here lately, where is everyone?!?

Quick question, I take folic acid but I have read you need vitamin b12 too, what do you all take?

happylass · 16/02/2013 23:36

Sorry to hear that things aren't looking quite so positive 2cats but as the others said its not over yet!

Bunny I second what 2cats said. Temping isn't at all stressful for me. Most of the time I do it half asleep and DP is always out for the count so he doesn't even notice! Very reassuring to see that temperature going up at the time it should.

AF due for me in next few days. Only gonna POAS if it hasn't arrived by Thursday as DP off to France and want to know either way before he goes!

2cats222 · 16/02/2013 23:19

Bunny honestly I found it gave me peace of mind and wasn't another thing I stressed about. We don't usually talk about it except occasionally DH wakes up asking if I took my temp I'm bad at waking with the alarm!

Bunnygirlie · 16/02/2013 22:59

Crikey if I did temping aswell I think DH would freak out!!!
