Hello all!

I've been lurking for a few weeks since beginning ttc recently, so thought it was time I posted something!

I think I ovulated yesterday (and dtd) so will now have my fingers crossed until 7th feb when AF if due. Anyone want to keep me company?! I'm ready to obsessively symptom spot and look out for implantation pain!

As background, we've been careful on and off since November, but are active ttc this month. Trying to be patient knowing this could take ages yet! I already have a nearly 13 yo ds from a previous relationship.

Good luck to us all xx

Af is due 14 and I think 7dpo which im just going by my phone app this time.
My boobs are sore today which thought was a bit early?

Keeping fingers crossed for us!

mrsLAQ · 06/02/2013 20:00

Yep, that's the one babyrose: crampy, bloated, slightly "tense" low abdo feeling and more CM today. When did you say your af is due? How many DPO are you? Fingers (and toes) crossed our imaginary symptoms prove to be real!

babyrose · 06/02/2013 19:51

Sorry wardy. I'm starting to feel very doubtful and it's just all my imagination!

MrsLAQ I'm getting the same type symptoms, crampy, pressure type feeling.

mrsLAQ · 06/02/2013 19:50

Oh no, rubbish. Has af arrived? If she's not here in a few days maybe re-test? I'm stressing myself out reading that my imaginary implantation cramps are actually ovulation, but I'm too late with dtd Sad

Wardy17 · 06/02/2013 19:29

I POAS when I got home..... BFN!!!

mrsLAQ · 06/02/2013 18:27

Wardy and anything , good luck if you're POAS soon, keep us posted Smile

mrsLAQ · 06/02/2013 18:25

Hi tiny , I'm pleased you said that about EWCM as I wonder if I've seen it more than once this cycle too not a good start at being a first class symptom spotter

I'm also not sure of my cycle lengths but had some more possible EWCM yesterday/today. I could have sworn there was a pink tinge to it last night but that may well have been my imagination! Today (cd22, DPO6 if you believe the app on my phone ) I have had some mild af type cramping, does anyone know how I tell the difference between implantation cramps and ovulation pains as I'm now starting to worry wonder that this is me in fact ovulating?

I'm worried as we last dtd on day19, think I'll have to insist dh gets his kit off again tonight but worried I've missed the window!

AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2013 15:47

Hi tinyflutterby - welcome to the thread.

Maybe you should see the dr. If only to see what might be available or what evidence they would need to help you, so you can yet started. I'm only on cycle 2 (cycle 1 seriously) and am writing everything down so if we have any problems conceiving I can have a good record to show the docs!

If you have irregular cycles it might be worth doing te temping as charting stuff. I do t really understand it!

Wardy - I might POAS tomorrow as AF is due ... But I really ought to wait as you an easily be a day late here or there. I POAS last Sunday and got bfn but I was reading another tread where they were saying boots hots were rubbish ... And now I'm all confused again!

I'm already fed up of not being able to plan stuff! I just wanna know when this light happen ... So impatient!

X

Can I join too? Am ttc#2 with very long irregular cycle and like some of you ladies have also been avoiding opk's and temps as I drive myself crazy as it is and I think that would make me worse! Have just been looking for EWCM, however that method doesn't seem to be foolproof either as I thought it was happening about 3 times! (or maybe just wishful thinking?)

So, think I ovulated about a week ago (day 23/24!) and am due af about this time next week. Not good at waiting it has to be said! I usually get cramps, sore boobs, spots etc the week before af, but when I was pg last time I had exactly the same symptoms as pmt so not very reliable.

Have given in and bought OPK's for next time and hubby thinks I should go to GP as I'm 36 now and it took 2 yrs ttc#1. Has been a really stressful last few wks so prob hasn't happened this time, still we live in hope. Good luck everyone who is testing soon.

Wardy17 · 06/02/2013 13:34

anything I'm totally the same my AF is due tomorrow this morning on the way to work I felt so hungry that I felt sick, I don't normally and I eat my breakfast at work. When are you going to POAS?

AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2013 12:59

*due

Not issue!

OP posts:
AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2013 12:44

Hmmmmm. So AF issue tomorrow. I have had lots of waves of nausea this morning.

Driving myself crazy!

OP posts:
AnythingNotEverything · 05/02/2013 17:04

Yup - I think Mother Nature knows. I (like to) think I'm quite in time as I get awful pmt and sore bbs, so my month is something of a roller coaster.

Really hope I haven't got it all upside down!

mrsLAQ · 05/02/2013 16:15

Funny you say that anything , between cd9 and cd19 I was completely in the mood but now on cd21 I'd rather curl up with a Brew ! Perhaps it is a sign like you say.

AnythingNotEverything · 05/02/2013 15:45

Hi mrsLAQ!

I was all for dtd eod ... Until I hit a wall a few days ago (about 9dpo) and don't even fancy a cuddle now.

I think the best plan is "as much as you can", but I hope/think my body must know ... I can't get enough during ovulation, so think those are my signs.

Not sure that's much help (or sickeningly tmi). Sorry!

AnythingNotEverything · 05/02/2013 15:34

Welcome katniss!

AF is due on Thursday and while I do believe you re:symptoms, I also don't want to ... And the fact I have no symptoms makes me think AF is coming soon.

You soon like you've had a long old road getting here. Sorry about the mc- cant even imagine.

I already have a dc too - one ds at nearly 13. He was a complete accident so I've been soooooo careful since he was born, which makes this waiting so odd!

Fingers crossed for us ...

mrsLAQ · 05/02/2013 15:28

Do you mind if I join you ladies? I think/hope I am now in the DPO window, I don't use OPKs and only came off of the pill (cerazette) in December. Had a period 30 days later so based on that am hoping I'm about 5 DPO.

Haven't had any signs of ovulation this cycle though so not convinced it's actually happened Confused

The only thing I have been aware of are headaches around my supposed time of ovulation on cd15 and one in full swing as we speak on cd21/DPO5. I'd love to say it was a sign but am trying to be realistic, so easy to get carried away!

Think I will test on Feb 16th which is when I am hopefully due a BFP (or af if not), so 11 days to go...

Just out of interest as I'm quite new to all of this, should we still be dtd every other day even around cd21?

FX for you all Smile

Katnisscupcake · 05/02/2013 14:34

Hi all,

Can I join you? Been on MN for 5 years in June. Through TTC, MC, new PG, Gestational Diabetest, horrendous birth and then subsequent feeding/illness/weight related threads with a toddler.

DD is now 3.5 and we've decided to try for DC2. Had an MC (my second) back in July last year and they think it may have been ectopic so quite nervous about TTC. Nothing for the last couple of months when we got back on the horse (so to speak Wink) but hoping that this is our lucky month.

I think I'm DPO3/4. Got a very strong +ive OPK on Friday and then a -ive on Saturday, so I think I OVd on Friday/Saturday at some point. DTD on Friday and the 3 nights before that.

I symptom spot even when I know I'm not possibly pregnant, so I'm a nightmare. But one thing I have figured are that symptoms tell you NOTHING!! I've had bleeding gums, nausea, spotting, cramping, no-spotting, spots, no-spots, loss of hair, no loss of hair etc etc. I had loads of them when I was PG last time (that ended in MC) and I've had them since and not been PG. So as much as I still note them and track them, I know they don't mean anything really... Wouldn't it be nice to have a DEFINITE symptom a few days before so getting the +ive HPT would just be the confirmation that you're PG and you can sit there watching the line appear, already knowing that it was going to???!!!

Oh well... Got at least 10 days to wait until I can POAS. So I'll revel in your good news (that you're bound to get) instead!!!

Wardy17 · 04/02/2013 18:40

Fingers crossed for you too, it's not over until AF arrives. I feel like time is going so quickly in all other aspects of my life apart from waiting for AF so frustrating!!!

AnythingNotEverything · 04/02/2013 15:48

Hi Wardy - welcome!

I think I'm probably out. I had dreadful pmt all weekend. Completely I reasonable and grumpy, plus I POAS with fmu on Sunday (earliest i felt I had a good chance of a faint bfp and a small chance of a false negative and got bfp. AF kit due until Thursday but I bet she's coming! I've moved on to next month in y head now, which is funny as AF isn't here yet!

Fingers crossed for you both, and good luck with your teeth!

Wardy17 · 03/02/2013 22:49

Hi, can I join in please, I too am due on the 7th and the waiting is driving me mad. I am using OPKs and I got my smiley face on the 25th dtd leading up to the smiley and also after so fingers crossed!!! I have zero symptoms which is getting me down because I keep thinking I should be feeling something but hoping that the symptoms don't start till you get a missed period!! Trying not to drive myself insane!!

Solars · 03/02/2013 22:30

Hi Anything

I'm doing ok apart from a bit of toothache over the last couple of days, does that count as a symptom?? Looks like I'll have to make a dreaded visit to a dentist. I have convinced myself as usual that I am not pg, although I have a strange urge to poas tmrw morning but I'm sure i'll resist come the morning.

How goes the pmt? I usually get quite weepy a couple of days before AF's arrival. Thankfully I only get mildly irritated by DH which is lucky for him!

AnythingNotEverything · 02/02/2013 19:14

Hiya,

Not much to report. Some really tired days, very delayed pmt ... But mainly frustration at trying not to POAS!

My pmt arrived today with full force. I'm absolutely crackers today, really manic. Unusual for it to come so late - AF is due on 7th so I'm actually nearly finished the craziness by now. Who knows - maybe it's a good sign.

Definitely trying to keep a lid on the ttc histeria though. Tis early days here!

How are you getting on?

OP posts:
Solars · 01/02/2013 20:33

Hi there! I just dug out this thread to see how you were doing Anything?

To be honest when we first started ttc DH never took any supplements, he's only on the vit c now as it should hopefully help with the antisperm antibodies. This early on I think you've got the right idea in terms not overwhelming him.

Any symptoms to report...? I've not much to report so far...

AnythingNotEverything · 25/01/2013 11:40

How annoying - just typed a response and lost it. Grrrrr.

Anyway.

Wow - you're much more experienced than I am. Hope you're positivity this month helps you get that bfp. I interesting re the vit c - I haven't got my husband on any supplements yet, but I've been taking folic acid since November. I don't want to overwhelm him as he's concerned I'll become some kind of loon!

I think it's too early for symptoms as I wouldn't have implanted yet. Hoping to some signs this time next week ... I'm so impatient!
