Hello ladies

I would like to start a thread/bus/merry-go-round to meet, get support and share with ladies in the same boat as me:

TTC baby no 1!

Will you join me and see it through to the BFP?!

A bit about me - I'm 29, DP is 35. This will be our first child.

wakey - well I've only had two proper cycles since coming off the pill. One at 28 days and one at 42...!
I think I am ovulating at the moment and I'm on CD17 so hoping they are getting back to normal... We'll see!

Hey blue I'm unknown cycle too as came off my pill at new year and have so far had two bleeds.
I suffer from endometriosis so can't work out if any pains are for AF/endo/ovulation or just completely random.

Are your cycles just long or completely irregular?

DailySliceOfGato · 28/01/2013 14:07

AHH, congratulations roofio!

Sorry blue, haven't experienced this myself. They seem a bit early for implantation cramps (according to this website anyway pregnant.thebump.com/getting-pregnant/fertility-ovulation/qa/what-are-implantation-cramps.aspx).

bluefreckles · 28/01/2013 09:35

Hello everyone

I'm on CD17 of an unknown cycle length.

Had EWCM (i think!) on CD13 and DTD 3 times that week.

I have had a strange 'pinching' feeling in, what I assume is, my womb since yesterday midday.

Anyone had experience of this? Almost feels like early/mild AF cramps...

firsttimekat · 27/01/2013 19:05

Congratulations roofio so pleased for you.

AF due by Wednesday, but a bit irregular so tempted to test earlier as that is the longest likely. We'll see how long I last!

Liquoriceallsort · 27/01/2013 17:24

Good luck with your test grizzly - let me know how you get on Smile. I've been doing some research and apparently taking b vitamin tablets is good to control spotting. I have started taking it this month so I will let you know if it makes a difference. Mine has been ever since I came off the pill a year ago- it has never bothered me as it has always been closely followed by af the next day but now we are ttc perhaps I should get it checked out...

Congratulations roofio how lovely to see a BFP on this thread!!

roofio87 · 27/01/2013 17:11

kd83 I kept putting things to the back of my mind but now I know I'm pg I definitely feel it. I am really tired all the time and been having headaches. peeing a lot,but I'm drinking a lot of water too. boobs got bigger. feeling a bit sick today but I think its mostly nerves and excitement!! the 2ww is a nightmare, just try to take ur mind of it!!xx

kd83 · 27/01/2013 17:04

roofio congratulations!! Did you have any early symptoms?

Still one week to go before AF is due. Trying not to climb the walls!!

roofio87 · 27/01/2013 12:10

thanks wakeycakey still doesn't quite feel real!! feeling sick today but I think its more excitement and nerves than morning sickness!! Grin Grin Grin

WakeyCakey · 27/01/2013 11:39

Congratulations roofio
Yay so happy to see a BFP on here Smile

roofio87 · 27/01/2013 07:08

I can't be too sure. my cycles are a little hard to predict. if its a normal 28 day-er then my periods not due till wed. but I think I ovulated 2 days earlier than expected this month (no charting or opks though its more just instinct) so would be tomorrow. had a + test now and got a faint + Fri so guessing it might be earlier!!x

bluefreckles · 27/01/2013 07:00

Oh my god roofio, congratulations!!

What stage are you at in your cycle??

OP posts:
roofio87 · 27/01/2013 06:51

I just got a BFP!! I can't believe it. so exciting but so scary!!
anyone else testing soon?!!x

Sshsecretenclosed · 26/01/2013 16:24

Hi everyone.

I'm 25 and me my bf are planning on TTC for first time! About to come off pill that I've been on for five years. Any tips for those first few months? Xxx

DailySliceOfGato · 25/01/2013 21:04

If it helps, once I have signs of ovulation I only DTD every day for the next 2-3 days. Otherwise my poor DH would simply collapse. (But this month am considering continuing to DTD every 2-3 days for the next week in case my fertility monitor is malfunctioning).

Anyway, I'm now entering the 2WW - cue dramatic music...

bluefreckles · 24/01/2013 19:06

As long as I can?! - oh dear...

OP posts:
WakeyCakey · 24/01/2013 19:05

As long as you can my dear Smile
I love this thread although I think it's making me more broody then ever.

bluefreckles · 24/01/2013 18:58

wakey - how many days do I have to keep it up now??

OP posts:
WakeyCakey · 24/01/2013 18:47

bluefreckles I'm happy about the contents of your pants (couldn't resist Blush)
Mrbluefreckles had got his work cut out for him now!! Wishing you the best of luck!!

bluefreckles · 24/01/2013 18:35

Ridiculously excited at appearance of EWCM. My DP has a fun few days coming up Wink

Can't believe excitement now comes from the contents of my pants! Grin Ha!

OP posts:
WakeyCakey · 24/01/2013 18:20

I had heard but was too nervous to ask if that was it. Getting cramps today and a bit bloaty. Maybe coming up to ovulate in the next few days I feel?
Ordered some CB ovulation sticks from amazon so waiting not so patiently for them.
roofio I am awful everytime I look for presents for new babies, and it seems that every time I talk to someone they are pregnant or just had a baby!!

bluefreckles · 24/01/2013 18:06

OK TMI alert!!

Just got in from work and had a pee. When I wiped I noticed lots of egg-white (like raw eggs) cm. Really gross but I did the stretch test and it stretched out a good 2 inches no problem.Grin

What do I do now?? Obviously will jump the bones of my DP tonight but how often and how long do I now keep it up??

OP posts:
bluefreckles · 24/01/2013 18:00

Oh roofio, sorry to hear that. It will be your time soon enough I'm sure. Getting support from other ladies in the same position helps me - hence loving MN'ters!

OP posts:
roofio87 · 24/01/2013 15:03

oh ladies,I just braved a trip into mothercare to find a present for my new nephew (my SIL is currently in labour!!) and I almost cried I got so broody looking at the clothes!! who knows what I'll be like when her baby actually arrives!!! Grin

younggrizzly · 23/01/2013 22:08

Thanks for the welcome blue

liquorice I'm a spotter too since having my implant out last may and still no BFP so wondering if its a problem... Having lots of hormones tested in next couple of days so we'll see!

wakey this always seems tmi but I find lots of egg white consistency cervical mucus a good indicator of impending OV. For more info have a look at a charting website like fertility friend

As for me AF got me again today. Stupid witch. Hoping my tests will shed some light.

Who knows maybe this cycle will be the one!
