New Year - New Thread!!! And hopefully lots of BFP's all round!!

Fx for everyone!!

OP posts:
Rumplestrumpet · 05/01/2013 09:26

hello fellow newbies flys and measure, fx our bodies will do as they're told this month!

sunny I know the frustration of not knowing what's going on - last month AF played hide & seek for a couple of weeks. I'm no expert on symptom spotting, but just POAS whenever I have the slightest hope.... sometimes BFN seems to spark AF to turn up anyway!

FlysInDreams · 04/01/2013 19:05

Can I join too? Smile I am 38 (39 at the end of the month! Sad) and we have been ttc#1 for 11 months now. Last month I even had what I though could have been implantation bleeding (pinkish cm about a week before af due) but no, she turned up anyway, and three days early Angry.

Anyway, here's to 2013 for us all! Wine

Rumplestrumpet · 04/01/2013 18:43

Hello ladies, can I join in?
As with some of you, I've been watching from the sidelines for a while, and now jumping into the fray. I'm 33, TTC number1 for 10 months now. Been trying to keep it relaxed and not temping/OPKing, but decided 2013 is the year to go for it (or at least feel like I'm doing more than just DTD!). So thermometer and OPKs at the ready (once AF leaves town next week)
Here's hoping 2013 brings us all BFPs fx

measureformeasure · 04/01/2013 18:22

Hello All! I want to join the party too. I've been TTC for 3 months and AF is due on 7/1/13 but feeling that I'll be with you all next month as had BFN and no symptoms this months. Roll on next month!

sunnyday01 · 04/01/2013 18:07

Posted this elsewhere but AF is still not right

Normally I have one day of dark red blood then comes on full force. On the second day I usually get cramping.

However this time for last three days had small amount of dark brown blood and that's it. It was bothering me so did a test ths morning but got a BFN.

Just don't know what's going on - got no other symptoms!

SeriousStuff · 04/01/2013 12:52

Thanks Sunshine2013Hopefully - thought it was time to progress to this thread!

After my norovirus-fuelled false start, my husband officially gave me the all clear this morning (!). He's out at the moment, but when he gets home, he won't know what's hit him...(probably TMI but don't really care at this point, having already missed out on 4 days of TTC!).

Anyone who didn't come across me on the preparing to TTC thread, I'm 31 and we're (as of within an hour) TTC #1.

sunnyday01 I've heard a lot about CP over the last week. DH rolled his eyes when I mentioned it but have ordered some as back-up just in case!

MotherOfCleo · 04/01/2013 11:01

Ok, this is a record AF flew in with a vengence yesterday and has now pretty much left again although I'm sure she'll rumble on for a few days more ....she's a funny old boot!

MotherOfCleo · 04/01/2013 10:14

Thunder you made me lol, yep I sound uber attractive huh! Grin

Blockette · 04/01/2013 09:47

Thanks guys - And I can really recommend the cake-breakfast for BFN's and pending AF arrivals - I feel so much better now Grin

Thunderthunderthundercats · 04/01/2013 09:46

Bugger block, that's shite rubbish. I may join you with the cake today- shall we mope together?!

Am Grin at MoC lubing herself up with a syringe prior to her romantic moment though. Perhaps you could get a Lacey syringe cover to fit the mood?

Am humph today. No idea what cycles are doing, OH not exactly on board with lots of DTD. Feel like giving up. Boo.

MrsBri · 04/01/2013 09:42

You don't need the applicator, and the non-applicator one is better value for money. Plus, the applicators have rather too much in them for one use!

You don't need a syringe, we just (maybe TMI?!) applied with our fingers to each other's bits and went from there. DH made sure some was put inside me, but it worked just fine like that.

Sorry about the BFN Block :-(

MotherOfCleo · 04/01/2013 09:35

block my evil ex best friend was raving on FB yday about hearing her babies heart beat for the first time. I don't evil feel bad saying she is a nasty piece of work and I wanted to slap her! She has never put any effort into anything in her life, her fella earns over £50k a year and does everything for her, now she has number 2 on the way she has everything she's ever wanted! not bitter at all If she has a girl I will scream. think I have issues
We can keep each other company this month! My BFP is due Feb 1st, when is yours due? Smile Hum just checked and I got the non applicator one, I'm going to get a syringe type thing and use that as an applicator.....I'm gonna look SO SEXY lol.

Blockette · 04/01/2013 09:29

Morning! So I gave in and tested this morning - PFN! - I'm so peed off that i'm eating cake for breakfast! - now I just hope AF hurry's up so I can write this one off and start again :(

Mother - Yes get the applicator one! I got the normal one and messy is not the word for it!! lol

.... oh great, now one of the girls that works upstairs really lovely girl evil wench has just told me she's 10 weeks PG - Just what I wanted to hear today!!! she had a horrible year last year and I am happy for her HATE HER!

MotherOfCleo · 04/01/2013 09:15

Is the applicator one the way forward then? I guess the other one could be a tad errrm messy.....

andadietcoke · 03/01/2013 21:08

sunnyday CP simulates EWCM so creates an environment which will help sperm swim better, and live longer. I think the official term is sperm motility. 'Normal' lubes don't have the same effect.

MotherOfCleo · 03/01/2013 20:58

sunny I dont know much about lube as we dont use it at the mo but ive heard that a lot of lubes actually kill sperm Sad

sunnyday01 · 03/01/2013 20:48

I keep seeing this concieve plus mentioned - we just use ordinary lube - is ths better?

Jasmine75 · 03/01/2013 20:33

Hi ladies

Just joined as feeling a bit low with yet another BFN. We've been TTC for about 18 months now, just waiting for a referral for specialist opinion as my progesterone never seems to peak!

Fingers crossed for everyone in 2013 xxxx

andadietcoke · 03/01/2013 20:33

MoC hee hee. Have fun! It's, erm, interesting. I managed to get it everywhere (I didn't get the applicator version). Sexy...

MotherOfCleo · 03/01/2013 20:26

conceive plus on its way...... Grin

sunnyday01 · 03/01/2013 20:07

Hi all

Just a quick update - 2nd day of AF again Been very light and had no cramps or anything, still very dark red/brown blood. Also feel very tired today and have a bad headache. I don't think I can be pregnant as ov days in December were 14th-21st but we only Dtd from the 21st onwards for various reasons - think my body is playing tricks on me. Tempted to POAS just to confirm it in my head.

Cacks81 · 03/01/2013 19:55

Thanks Thundercat

Been a little stressful. I did use OPK, but showed nothing, yet all doc tests (got fertility one today) have been good, so I'm ovulating and reserves are 'normal'. Currently on 2ww- such a drag, and all I do is symptom spot. Frustrating isn't it?

Currently shattered and have an aching lower back, but that could easily be down to running or lifting something badly. But, any slightest thing, and I'm convinced. Feel like a mad woman! Smile 😊

How's everyone else?

MotherOfCleo · 03/01/2013 19:53

noting the need to learn more about concieve plus.........its like tip central on here today......thanks Grin

Thunderthunderthundercats · 03/01/2013 18:40

Come on, not cone on. Altho cone on too of it helps Wink

Glad all good nic. Yeah staying calm but want to get pg now to move forward....

MrsBri · 03/01/2013 18:38

Have you got any lube, Cleo? Could be coincidence, but I fell the first month we used Conceive Plus. And upped the shagging!

I'm glad you're remaining level headed about everything, Thunder. I don't know how you've remained as calm as you appear to have. I really hope you fall again soon. x

Oh, and married life is great, thank you.
