TTC - the loooong two week wait every month.

I think we all find that two weeks hard.... but you (this thread) has unlocked another mystery NM code.... "2ww"! :)

littleem I know what ur going thru, I had a little cry yesterday when I got af too. Makes u feel shitty when u get your hopes up! X

Got myAF this morning. Trying not to be too upset but had a bit of a cry. It is only our first month trying so trying to stay positive. Plus it's another month of saving towards more lovely baby clothes when the time comes.

AF was a week earlier than expected too (28 days rather than expected 35) so perpahs still not fully back to normal after coming off pill in Sept.

Here's hoping next month is more successful.

Thanks choc quick and doctor! Here come the details... I felt strong period pains 2 days before AF was due and was sure I was about to come on. Then the pains died down and I've just had occasional twinges ever since. I usually notice changes in my CM during my cycle, but it didn't change at all which was weird for me. Since the bfp, I've been feeling very sleepy and that's all really. Oh, and I've been peeing on the hour every hour for the last 2 days! No other symptoms.... yet!

Been to doctors today who confirmed the bfp (hurray!!). I should be 5 weeks and 3 days today, but doctor said its still very early days and suggested that I might be even earlier than that. So maybe I ovulated much later than I thought? Not sure. Having a scan in 2 weeks to date it more accurately and I get to see my little tiny peanut of a baby!! Can't wait!!!

Hang on in there everyone else, you'll soon be looking at your own little tiny peanut on a screen :) My best advice is to keep yourselves busy during the tww! Good luck all!

I'm cd23 but as last af turned up on cd35 my 2ww could be more like 3! had a bit of a tough 2012 so hoping the new year is a good omen for me, had a mmc in June then mc at 6weeks beginning of Nov. This will hopefully be DC3 for us, have 2DD, was a good girl got lots of alone time with hubby over xmas, couldn't really have done more! so really hoping this is a good month, but of course that thought seems to increase symptoms to spot

Yes 12\13 dpo. Am cramping & got stabbing pains on left side, am at work so not much fun. I wasn't gonna test eaither, not sure why I bothered. Am going to the loo every 20 mins to check. Am insane! X

Choc- Sorry for the bfn. When is your period due? Reading through the thread I see you're 12 DPO, is that right? It still may be too early to test, so keep fingers crossed!
Big 'hello' to everyone. I'm 11 DPO today and also driving myself mad with every little twinge. Resisting testing until Sunday or Monday, can't bear to look at another Bfn! Xxx

9/10dpo here and just POAS - BFN. I'm not losing hope though cos I've still got the mother of all heartburns from last night's curry - I've never got heartburn from a curry in my life. Gaviscon before breakfast for me - nom nom - NAAAAAT!

Purpleaura fantastic news!! What symptoms did you have during the 2WW? Anything unusual? Did you feel like AF was on her way? we want details!!

hi little! thanks and welcome :) the 2ww sure will drive you crazy! i have no idea about the exercise question i'm afraid, but i can tell you that BFP stands for the wonderful big fat positive that we're all aiming for good luck!

The other big acronyms for this kind of thread are TTC (trying to conceive) and TWW/2WW (two week wait). oh and AF of course (that's Aunt Flo, aka your period).

I am new to mumsnet (just registered) and am in my first ever 2 week wait. glad to hear i'm not the only one going loopy.

quick questions, does anyone know what exercise is ok at this stage? i do a regular zumba class, and went today but am a little worried it might be too strenuous or something.

also just trying to get my head around all the acronyms. what does BFP mean?

I think this thread might have its first bfp.... been POAS every day since AF was late. Got BFNs until day 5.... then I got a feint BFP!!! Then I got a less feint, but still feint BFP on day 6. Gonna test again tomorrow and hoping for a dark line, cos I still don't quite believe it!!!! DP can't believe it either!!!

So keep your chin up everyone- even if AF is late and you're getting BFNs, it doesn't mean your not pregnant... hang on in there bundle and anyone else in the same boat!! :)

Lol I'll join you with the straight jackets. I'm having bad day, headache, tired & am sure af is gonna come early, have all the signs x

8or 9dpo (not entirely sure)...and as chocoloulou33 said..."Draaaaggggiiiiiing"! And if my skin breaks out in any more zits, I'm going to regress to my teenage years and start acting like Kevin and Perry, it's my only defence. Seriously, zits at 45, what's that about? I usually get one or two when I'm due my period, but this is awful. It's not the quantity - it's the quality of 'em! They're HUGE and really painful. Gah.

And all the pregnancy symptoms I've been having since 5dpo have suddenly vanished. I POAS at 7dpo (I know, I know) because I felt SO pregnant, no need to say BFN, is there? LOL. Now I don't feel pregnant at all. Aaaaargh!

I'm going to go and get measured for a straightjacket, cos this is 2 years now and it really starts to get to you

I know what you mean about constantly wondering about 'am I pg'! Despite two BFN's I'm still wondering the same thing!

Setayharas, join the mental club! Ttc is all I think about these days! It's driving me potty! I totally agree about the diary and time slots for your DH! I think mine is begining to think I'm just using him for his 'love juice'... I'd be lying if I said it wasn't! I haven't had so much sex in my life... getting a little tired of it now so wish the BFN would bloody hurry up! lol

bundle hopefully your cycle won't take long to get back to normal after pill. Mine was ok after the 1st af. So I only have 4 days to wait now & feels like all I think about is 'am I pregnant!?' [Hmm] hurrry up!!! Anyone got any news? Any bfps? X
